WARNING! Operate this unit in unoccupied spaces only.
Inhalation of ozone can cause lung damage and other
harmful conditions in people and animals.
• When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. Relatively
low amounts can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness
of breath and throat irritation.

such as asthma and compromise the body’s ability to
fight respiratory infections.
• Operate this unit in unoccupied spaces only. Do not leave
pets in the vicinity while the unit is in operation.

air. The ozone will normally dissipate in less than an hour
after the unit is turned o.
• We strongly recommend that you only operate the unit
for the shortest recommended time for your room size.
• Do not attempt to disassemble this unit. There are no
user-serviceable parts inside the unit.
• To avoid electric shock, plug the unit into a grounded
electrical outlet.

HOW IT WORKS
HOW IT WORKS
Nature creates ozone (O) as a natural air cleaner in a
number of ways, usually involving an ordinary oxygen
(O) molecule and some form of electrical charge (like
lightning or static electricity in the air). The electrical
current transforms an ordinary O molecule into an O
molecule. If you’ve taken a walk after a thunderstorm
and experienced the fresh, clean smell in the air, you’ve
experienced the after-eects of ozone at work in
the environment.
The Ivation Ozone Generator creates O via a special
process that utilizes an electrical current and the oxygen
in the room. The ozone then sanitizes the air in your room
by breaking down odors, microorganisms, and other
pollutants at their source.
During the air sterilization process, no one can be present
in the room, because ozone is not safe for humans or
animals to inhale. The ozone air purifier includes a timer
for your safety and convenience. Once the timer runs
out, the device will deactivate automatically. After about
an hour, the ozone reverts back to normal oxygen, and
the room will be safe for you to re-enter. Breathe deep,
knowing the air in your room is fresh and clean.

6
Plug in the unit to an appropriate wall outlet. This
will not cause the unit to start generating ozone. The
machine will not start generating ozone until you turn
the Timer Knob 2to set the timer.
As soon as you set the timer, the machine will begin
generating ozone. Leave the room immediately.
Wait for the timer to run out and the machine will
automatically deactivate. If the HOLD override is in
operation, wait for someone to deactivate the unit.
Once the machine is deactivated, wait at least
another hour before re-entering the room, so the
ozone molecules have enough time to revert to
oxygen molecules.
Enter your room after at least an hour and enjoy the
fresh, clean air! (Please note, a slight “electrical” odor
in the air is normal; ozone has its own distinctive
scent that will fade.)
Turn the timer knob 2clockwise to set the timer for
up to 120 minutes. Please refer to the table below for
a general guideline about operation time in relation to
room size.
NOTE: For very large spaces, you can turn the timer
knob to the Hold position to make the unit run
indefinitely. Please note the unit is designed to operate
in unoccupied spaces only. If you set the timer to Hold,
the unit will continue operating until someone quickly
comes in, turns it o, and then leaves the space again.
If you want to set the timer for a period less than 20
minutes, make sure turn the timer knob to more than 20
minutes then turn back to the specified time. The timer
must be turned past the 20 minute mark to activate.

TROUBLESHOOTING
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you experience issues with your device, please check
the following:
1Make sure the unit is plugged in properly.
2Make sure the wall outlet to which the power cable is
connected is an active outlet that is working properly.
3Make sure that the ozone plates are clean and dry
without any cracks. Ozone plates generally need to
be cleaned about once a month. Environmental factors
such as pet dander, cigarette smoke, etc., can aect
the duration of ozone output. It’s optimal to replace
the ozone plates once every six months. Clean or
change your ozone plates more often if ozone output
is weak. Follow these steps to check your ozone plates:
a. Make sure the ozone air purifier is o and
disconnected from the power supply.
b. Remove the four screws (two on each side)
holding the top of the casing on the unit with
a Philips-head screwdriver.
c. Remove the top casing. You should
see a piece of plastic material with
a black honeycomb pattern on it,
held in place by a black clip at the
top. Press back on the clip until it
releases the plate and you can pull
the plastic ozone plate toward you
without bending it.
d. Examine the ozone plate for cracks
and make sure it’s dry on the front. The white paste
on the back is there to improve conductivity. Do not
remove it.
e. When you’ve finished, replace the ozone plate so
that the clip holds it securely in place again.
Reattach the casing on the unit and replace the
screws. Do not touch any of the other internal
parts of the unit.
4Make sure that the air filter on the back is clean. The
air filter is removable and washable. Do not use heat to

dry the air filter, as this could damage it.
5Make sure the fuse is installed properly and in
good condition.
a. To replace the fuse, use the latch on the right
side of the fuse holder slot 4to open the cover,
pull the holder straight out toward you, and then
remove and replace the fuse. One spare fuse is
included in your package. The fuse type is 2A,
1.25" (31.75mm).
6Make sure that the ozone air purifier is properly
plugged into a grounded outlet to avoid the
potential for electrical shock and also to ensure
proper functionality.
7If the fan is still not operating, and/or there is
no buzzing sound when the device is in operation,
immediately call Ivation customer service at
