Thank you for purchasing the JTD4KATSW HDMI Audio Extractor. For optimum performance and
safety, please read these instructions carefully before connecting, operating or adjusting this
product. Please keep this manual for future reference.
I. Introduction
The JTD4KATSW HDMI audio extractor allows you to extract the audio signal from an HDMI source
device or HDMI-ARC enabled TV and transmit it to a separate audio processing device like external
speakers, soundbars or wireless headphones.

V. Operation Controls and Functions
1. HDMI OUT: Use this port to connect an HDMI cable from your extractor to your HDTV or
display.
2. SPDIF OUT: Use this port to connect an optical S/PDIF cable to an audio processing device.

3. R: Analog audio Right channel output (RED).
4. L: Analog audio Left channel output (WHITE).
5. DC 5V IN:Use this port to connect the provided power adapter.
6. POWER LED: LED illuminates when the device is connected to power supply.
7. EDID Switch: Use this switch to select 2.0CH | 5.1CH | or TV EDID modes. “TV” EDID mode
passes connected display’s audio EDID to the source device.
8. ARC KEY: Enables & disables HDMI-ARC function. Extractor will look for audio “returning”
from HDTV connected to “HDMI OUT” port and will extract via SPDIF OUT only.
9. ARC LED: LED illuminates when HDMI-ARC is enabled and dark when disabled.
10. HDMI IN:Use this port to connect an HDMI cable from the source device to the audio
extractor.

VIII. Warranty
If your product does not work properly because of a defect in materials or workmanship, J-Tech
Digital (referred to as "the warrantor") will, for the length of the period indicated as below, (Parts
(1) Year) which starts with the date of original purchase ("Limited Warranty period"), at its option
either(a) repair your product with new or refurbished parts, or (b) replace it with a new of a
refurbished product. The decision to repair or replace will be made by the warrantor. During the
"Parts" warranty period, there will be no charge for parts. You must mail-in your product during the
warranty period. This Limited Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and only covers
product purchased as new. A purchase receipt or other proof of original purchase date is required
for Limited Warranty service.
Maintenance
Clean this unit with a soft, dry cloth. Never use alcohol, paint thinner of benzine to clean this unit.

Extended Warranty
With the registration of supported J-Tech Digital products, you extend the current warranty by 6
months. This extension is added to the warranty that starts at the purchase date of the device
supported. Total product warranty with the extended period will equate to a total of 18 months of
warranty from the date of purchase.
For extended warranties to be accepted, all warranty extensions must be claimed within 30 days of
purchasing the eligible J-Tech Digital product. Extensions attempted to be claimed outside of the 30-
day window will not be accepted. Visit www.jtechdigital.com to register your extended warranty.
