JACKRABBITwarrantseachnewpieceofequipmentandpartmanufacturedbyittobefreefromdefectinmaterial
and workmanship under normal use and service. The obligaon of JACKRABBIT shall be limited to replacing any
partwhichshall,within1year(1season)aerdeliverytotheoriginalpurchaser,bereturnedtoJACKRABBITwith
transportaonchargesprepaidandwhichanexaminaonbyJACKRABBITdisclosesdefecve.Thiswarrantydoes
not obligate JACKRABBIT to bear the cost of labor, travel me or hauling in connecon with the replacement or

SAFETYGUIDELINES
Safety of the operator is one of the main concerns in
designing and developing a new piece of equipment.
Designers and manufacturers build in as many safety
featuresaspossible. However, everyyearmany accidents
occurwhichcouldhavebeenavoidedbyafewsecondsof
thought and a more careful approach to handling
equipment. You, the operator, can avoid many accidents
by observing the following precauons in this secon. To
avoidpersonalinjury,studythefollowingprecauonsand
insistthoseworkingwithyou,orforyou,followthem.
•Replace any DANGER, WARNING OR CAUTION or
instruconsafetydecalthatisnotreadableorismissing.
•Do not aempt to operate this equipment under the
influenceofdrugsoralcohol.
•Reviewthesafetyinstruconswithallusersannually.
•This equipment is dangerous to children and persons
unfamiliar with its operaon. The operator should be a
responsible adult familiar with farm machinery and
trained in this equipment’s operaons. Do not allow
personstooperateorassemblethisunitunltheyhave
read this manual and have developed a thorough
understanding of the safety precauons and of how it
works.
•Topreventinjuryordeath,useatractorequippedwitha
rolloverprotecvesystem(ROPS).
•Do not paint over, remove or deface any safety signs or

gas that is oderless and colorless. Exposure to carbon
monovide can kill within minutes.Never use in structues
inhabited by humans or livestock. The device must be
used in accordance with all exisng laws and regulaon
includingChapter1.5(commencingwithSecon2050)of
Division3,knownastheCaliforniaEndangedSpeciesAct,
andSecons4002and4003ontheFishandGameCode.

venlated area. Never point dispensing rod directly at a
persons face. In case of light exposure to the engine
exhaust,gettofreshair.
ExposureInstrucons:Ifsomeoneisexposedtoanexcess
ofengineexhaust,getthatpersontofreshairrightaway.
DO NOT wait for signs of carbon monoxide poisoning
before calling 1‐800‐222‐1222, which connects you to
yourlocalpoisoncenter.
HOWTOINSTALLSAFETYSIGNS:
•Besurethattheinstallaonareaiscleananddry.
•Decideontheexactposionbeforeyouremovethe
backingpaper.
•Removethesmallestporonofthesplitbackingpaper.
•Alignthedecaloverthespecifiedareaandcarefully
pressthesmallporonwiththeexposedsckybackingin
place.
•Slowlypeelbacktheremainingpaperandcarefully
smooththeremainingporonofthedecalinplace.
•Smallairpocketscanbepiercedwithapinand
smoothedoutusingthepieceofdecalbackingpaper.
DECALINSTALLATION
•Failuretofollowproperprocedureswhenmounnga
reonawheelorrimcanproduceanexplosionwhich
mayresultinseriousinjuryordeath.
•Donotaempttomountareunlessyouhavethe
properequipmentandexperiencetodothejob.
•Inflangorservicingrescanbedangerous.Whenever
possible,trainedpersonnelshouldbecalledtoservice
and/ormountres.
•Alwaysorderandinstallresandwheelswith
appropriatecapacitytomeetorexceedtheancipated
weighttobeplacedontheequipment.
•Besureyouhaveproperrepressureandthelugnuts
areproperlyghtened.Checkwheelbearingsonaregular
basisandgreasesemiannually.

•It is the responsibility of the customer to know the
lighng and marking requirements of the local highway
authories and to install and maintain the equipment to
providecompliancewiththe regulaons.Add extralights
when transporng at night or during periods of limited
visibility.
•Lighng kits are available from your dealer or from the
manufacturer.
LIGHTINGANDMARKING
BEFOREOPERATION
•Carefullystudyandunderstandthismanual.
•Donotwearloose‐fingclothingwhichmaycatchin
movingparts.
•Alwayswearprotecveclothingandsubstanalshoes.
•Keep wheel lug nuts or bolts ghtened to specified
torque.
•Assure that agricultural implement res are inflated
evenly.
•Givetheunitavisualinspeconforanyloosebolts,worn
parts or cracked welds, and make necessary repairs.
Follow the maintenance safety instrucons included in
thismanual.
•Be sure that there are no tools lying on or in the
equipment.
•Do not use the unit unl you are sure that the area is
clear,especiallychildrenandpets.
•Don’t hurry the learning process or take the unit for
granted. Ease into it and become familiar with your new
equipment.
•Pracce operaon of your equipment and its
aachments. Completely familiarize yourself and other
operatorswithitsoperaonbeforeusing.
•Securely aach to towing unit. Use a high strength,
appropriately‐sized hitch pin with a mechanical retainer
andaachsafetychain.
•Do not allow anyone to stand between the tongue or
hitch and the towing vehicle when backing up to the
equipment.
•Do not operate machine in enclosed or low venlated
locaons.
DURINGOPERATION
•Besuretocheckwithlocallawenforcementagenciesfor
yourownparcularregulaons.Onlyasafetychain(not
anelascornylon/plasctowstrap)shouldbeusedto
retaintheconneconbetweenthetowingandtowed
machinesintheeventofseparaonoftheprimary
aachingsystem.
•Installthesafetychainbycrossingthechainsunderthe
tongueandsecuretothedrawbarcage,hitchorbumper
frame.
•NOPASSENGERSALLOWED‐donotcarrypassengers
anywhereon,orin,thetractororequipment.
•Keephandsandclothingclearofmovingparts.
•Donotclean,lubricateoradjustyourequipmentwhileit
ismoving.
•Whenhalngduringtransportaon,evenperiodically,
setthevehicle'sbrakes,shutoffthevehicle'sengineand
removetheignionkeyfromthevehicle.
•Beespeciallyobservantoftheoperangareaandterrain
‐watchforholes,rocksorotherhiddenhazards.Always
inspecttheareapriortooperaon.
•Donotoperateneartheedgeofdrop‐offsorbanks.
•Donotoperateonsteepslopesasoverturnmayresult.
•Operateupanddown(notacross)intermediateslopes.
Avoidsuddenstartsandstops.
•Donotdrinkanddrive!
HIGHWAYOPERATION
•Adoptsafedrivingpracces:
•Keepthebrakepedalslatchedtogetheratallmes.
NEVER USE INDEPENDENT BRAKING WITH MACHINE IN
TOWASLOSSOFCONTROLAND/ORUPSETOFUNITCAN
RESULT.
•Always drive at a safe speed relave to local condions
and ensure that your speed is low enough for an
emergency stop to be safe and secure. Keep speed to a
minimum.
•Reduce speed prior to turns to avoid the risk of
overturning.
•Avoidsuddenuphillturnsonsteepslopes.
•Always keep the tractor or towing vehicle in gear to
provide engine braking when going downhill. Do not
coast.
•Comply with state and local laws governing highway
safetyandmovementoffarmmachineryonpublicroads.
•Use approved accessory lighng flags and necessary
warningdevices toprotectoperatorsofother vehicleson
thehighwayduringdaylightandnighmetransport.
•Various safetylightsand devices are available fromyour
dealerordirectfromJackrabbit.
•The use of flashing amber lights is acceptable in most
localies. However, some localies prohibit their use.
Locallawsshouldbecheckedforall highwaylighngand
markingrequirements.

•Childrenshouldnotbeallowedtooperatetheproduct.
• Clear the area of small children and bystanders before
movingtheequipment.
•Makesureyouareincompliancewithalllocalandstate
regulaons regarding transporng equipment on public
roadsandhighways.
•Safetychain‐ifequipmentisgoingtobetransportedon
a public highway, provided safety chain should be
installed. Always follow state and local regulaons
regardingasafetychainandauxiliarylighngwhentowing
farmequipmentonapublichighway.

•Whendrivingthetractorand equipmentontheroador
highwayunder35kph(20mph)atnightorduringtheday,
use flashing amber warning lights and a slow‐moving
vehicle(smv)idenficaonemblem.
•Beasafeandcourteousdriver.Alwaysyieldtooncoming
traffic in all situaons, including narrow bridges,
intersecons,etc.
•Be observant of bridge loading rangs. Do not cross
bridges rated lower than the gross weight as which you
areoperang.
•Watch for obstrucons overhead and to the side while
transporng.
•Always operate equipment in a posion to provide
maximumvisibilityatallmes.
•Makeallowancesforincreasedlengthand weightofthe
equipmentwhenmakingturns,stoppingtheunit,etc.
•Pickthemostlevelroutewhentransporngacrossfields.
Avoidtheedgesofditchesorgulliesandsteephillsides.
•Beextracarefulwhenworkingoninclines.
•Maneuverthetractorortowingvehicleatsafespeeds.
•Avoid overhead wires or other obstacles. Contact with
overheadlinescouldcauseseriousinjuryordeath.
•Avoid loose fill, rocks and holes; they can be dangerous
forequipmentoperaonormovement.
•Allowforunitlengthwhenmakingturns.
•Operatethetowingvehiclefromtheoperator’sseatonly.
•Never stand alongside of unit with engine running or
aempt to start engine and/ or operate machine while
standingalongsideofunit.
•Never leave running equipment aachments
unaended.
•As a precauon, always recheck the hardware on
equipment following every 100 hours of operaon.
Correct all problems. Follow the maintenance safety
procedures.
FOLLOWINGOPERATION
•Following operaon, or when unhitching, stop the
tractor or towing vehicle, set the brakes, disengage all
power drives, shut off the engine and remove the
ignionkeys.
•Storetheunitinanareaawayfromhumanacvity.
•Do not park equipment where it will be exposed to
livestock for long periods of me. Damage and livestock
injurycouldresult.
•Do not permit children to play on or around the stored
unit.
•Make sure all parked machines are on a hard, level
surfaceandengageallsafetydevices.
•Wheel chocks may be needed to prevent unit from
rolling
PERFORMINGMAINTENANCE
•Good maintenance is your responsibility. Poor
maintenanceisaninvitaontotrouble.
•Make sure there is plenty of venlaon. Never operate
theengineofanyvehicleinaclosedbuilding.Theexhaust
fumesmaycauseasphyxiaon.
•Beforeworking on themachine shut off the engine and
removetheignionkeys.
•Becertainallmovingpartsonaachmentshavecometo
a complete stop before aempng to perform
maintenance.
•Alwaysusethepropertoolsorequipmentforthejobat
hand.
•Useextremecauonwhenmakingadjustments.
•Never replace hex bolts with less than grade five bolts
unlessotherwisespecified.
•Aer servicing, be sure all tools, parts and service
equipmentareremoved.
