Moveable i-heightTMScreen
It's the biggest, most colorful screen we've ever made and the
only one that moves. With the push of a button, you can move
the screen up or down to find your best height and see every
stitch in true color.
Extra Wide Work Area
With the screen in the up position you get more than 9"
(234mm) of wonderful working space to the right of the
needle. This gives the Memory Craft 11000 the largest arm
and bed space of any home embroidery machine.
Superior Data Transfer
Import and export designs via direct PC connection, ATA PC Card,
USB memory device, optional USB CD drive (read only) or optional
wireless StitchLink. PC Folder Tool allows you to access designs on
your computer as if they were simply in another folder on your
Memory Craft 11000.
Robotic Precision
The Rolling Linear Motion Guide moves the embroidery hoop
with an accuracy never before seen in the home embroidery
market. We achieved this precision by using the same technology
developed for industrial desktop robots.
Time Saving Convenience Features
The Memory Craft 11000 is loaded with features to make
your sewing faster and easier, like the programmable thread
cutter, independent bobbin winding, automatic needle
threader, and a knee lift.
Full Intensity Lighting System
Special, bright white LED lights illuminate your work from
multiple angles. Even dark fabrics are easy to see. It’s like shining
a spotlight on your work exactly where you need it most.
Built-In Creativity
Choose from 307 built-in stitches and 122 built-in
embroidery designs, including embroidered quilt designs.
There are also built-in templates and a new series of 52
fully editable stitches, allowing you to create unique
embroidery designs from decorative stitches.
Janome Heritage
You get the quality and reliability that can only
come from over one hundred years of making the
top sewing machines in the industry.
Powerful On-Board Editing
Bring in designs from multiple sources. Cut, copy, paste, flip,
rotate, rescale, zoom in and see your layout in 3D. Everything is
in bright, true colors and the giant i-heightTM screen makes it
simple to drag and drop.
Largest Square Embroidery Hoop
Square is the best shape for embroidery, and the Memory Craft 11000
has the largest square hoop on the market at 8" x 8" (200 x 200mm).
There’s also a standard hoop at 5" x 4" (126 x 110mm), plus
two optional hoops: macro 8" x 11" (200 x 280mm) and
free arm 2" x 2" (50 x 50mm).
Compact Size
We’ve increased the embroidery size without increasing the
overall size of the machine. And the Memory Craft 11000 doesn’t
require a bulky embroidery attachment. Janome is the only
company offering quick conversion from sewing to embroidery.

Moveable i-height Screen
The only moveable screen in the industry
What could be better than the largest, high-resolution screen on an
embroidery machine? How about one that adjusts to the height that’s most
comfortable for you?
The new i-height screen is the widest display available. At more than
7 1/2" when measured diagonally
, it’s the size of many portable DVD screens.
But it will show you something even better than movies. With 640 x 480 full
resolution, it displays designs with crystal clarity in up to 65,536 colors.
That’s accurate enough for vivid photo images. (And the Memory Craft
11000 lets you add your own photos as screensavers.)
Because you adjust the screen to the height that’s best for you, you can
find the optimal eyeline for viewing the screen. You avoid neck strain and
can sew comfortably for hours.
When the screen is fully up, the Memory Craft 11000 has the largest
work area of any embroidery machine, more than 9" to the right of the
needle. Move it all the way down and the included case top fits neatly over
the machine. Any way you look at it, the i-height touch screen makes
everything you sew and embroider something to see.
A picture is worth a
thousand words
Icons are great, if you can remember
what they mean. Most of us prefer
pictures and that’s what the Memory
Craft 11000 uses for navigation keys:
simple, recognizable pictures. You spend
less time scratching your head and more
time sewing.
When the screen goes up,
the show begins
Robotic Precision
The robots that assemble high tech electronic devices move with a
quickness and precision that even the most skilled humans can’t begin
to match. Back in the 1990s, Janome pioneered the home embroidery
market with the revolutionary Memory Craft 8000. The X-Y movement of the
Memory Craft 8000 became the impetus for Janome to develop desktop robots.
The robots have now returned the favor.
Janome is the world’s largest manufacturer of industrial desktop robots. Our
knowledge and expertise was crucial in the utilization of a special carriage arm
system called the Rolling Linear Motion Guide for moving the embroidery hoop
on the Memory Craft 11000. Not only does it allow a much larger field of
movement (and therefore much larger hoops), it also has a precision unmatched in
any machine we’ve ever made. In fact, we believe it to be the most precise
embroidery machine on the market today
.
The elegance of this system lies in the fact that while being the most
sophisticated on the market, it doesn’t require you to attach a bulky embroidery
mechanism to the end of your machine. You still have the built-in convenience of
Janome’s patented quick conversion from sewing to embroidery
Simple setup
To get ready for embroidery, press the
lever to release the arm and swing it into
place. The arm is extremely stable and
you can embroider easily through
multiple layers of fabric.
Extremely wide side-to-side
The MemoryCraft 11000’s embroidery mechanism takes full advantage of the
machine’s extra-large work space. It can move the hoop nearly 8" from side-to-side,
giving you the widest embroidery capability on the market.
Even larger back to front
The Rolling Linear Motion Guide allows the hoop to move more than
11" back to front. That’s nearly the size of this page!
The Most Work
Area Ever...
The Memory Craft 11000 may be the most
compact of the leading embroidery machines, but
it also has the most sewing, quilting and
embroidery room — more than 9" to the right of
the needle when the screen is in the up position.
That’s sleek and efficient styling.
This extra room allows the Memory Craft
11000 to have the widest embroidery hoop on the
market. And it’s also great for those big quilting
projects where you’re pushing a lot of fabric past
the needle.
The powerful motors and precise feeding
system handle multiple layers of material. So go
ahead and make a thick winter coat, a slipcover
for the couch, or that king size quilt. The Memory
Craft 11000 has the power and the room to
handle it.
...In The Most
Compact Size
In Embroidery Mode, the Memory Craft
11000 is just 181/2" (469 mm) across, making it
the most compact of the leading embroidery
machines. Competing models require bulky
embroidery attachments that can add another half
foot to the length of the machine. But not the
Memory Craft 11000. The embroidery arm is
built in. The design is just as functional in Sewing
Mode. If your table space and sewing time are at
a premium, the Memory Craft 11000 was made
for you.
Jumping Through Hoops
The Memory Craft 11000’s embroidery mechanism
takes full advantage of the machine’s extra-large work space. It
can move the hoop nearly 8" from side-to-side, giving you the
widest embroidery capability on the market.
You can go way beyond square with the optional Macro
Hoop. While taking full advantage of the machine’s extra wide
embroidery capacity, this monster hoop can handle designs
that are more than 11" tall. And the Memory Craft 11000 has
dozens of built-in designs created especially for this hoop.
Square Hoop
8"x8"
(200 x 200 mm)
Standard Hoop
5"x4"
(126 x 110 mm)
Optional Free Arm Hoop
2"x 2" (50 x 50 mm)
Optional Macro Hoop
8"x 11"
(200 x 280 mm)
Why It’s Hip to be Square
We found that while embroidery hoops come in all
kinds of shapes, the designs most embroiderers want to make
are square. Quilters especially like square designs since quilt
squares are, well, square. So we designed the Memory Craft
11000 to have 8" of embroidery arm movement from side to
side just so we could give you the largest embroidery field in a
square. The 8" square that is so common in quilting can now
be embroidered in a single hooping. The machine also comes
with a 5" x 4" hoop, perfect for many standard designs.
Memory Banks
Just like when you’re using your
computer, you’ll want to save your
work as you go. It’s easy on the
Memory Craft 11000. Name and save
your layouts to the built-in Memory
Banks. The folder system makes it
easy to organize your projects and
find them later. It’s just as easy to
save to external devices such as a
USB memory key,ATA PC Card, or
your computer.
Easy On-Screen Manipulation
It’s so easy to bring in designs, lettering,
and decorative stitches to create
embroidery layouts. Cut, copy, paste, flip,
rotate, rescale, and more. You see your
designs displayed in whichever color you
choose. The function keys are user-
friendly pictures, so you always know
what to do. The Memory Craft 11000’s
editing features are so easy to use, you’ll
be creating beautiful embroidery right
out of the box.
Simple, Precise Layout
After you’ve selected your hoop size,
simply drag the individual embroidery
designs into place with the handy,
included stylus. Zoom in to make sure
your designs are in exactly the right spot
and use the arrow keys for fine
adjustments.
Zoom In For A Closer Look
The new Zoom feature lets you take a magnified look at your design to make sure everything is in exactly the
right place. Press Zoom once for a larger view with editing tools to the side. Press Zoom again and your
design layout fills the wide screen for the closest possible view.
Close Closer Closest 3D!
Powerful Built-In Editing
Of course, because it’s a Memory Craft and because Janome always
packs power right into the machine, you don't need a computer to create
sophisticated embroidery layouts on your Memory Craft 11000. The
editing tools are so streamlined, you’ll be ready to stitch out complete
projects in minutes. The function keys are pictures of what they do, so
you don’t have to memorize a confusing set of icons. You see your design
layout exactly as it will appear in the hoop. And then you have the option
of zooming in for a close, closer, closest look or even seeing what your
design will look like in three dimensions.
The editing tools are everything an advanced user could want. But
they’re easy enough for a beginner to use right away. Start day dreaming.
Because if you can think it up, you can quickly have it embroidered out.
