1General safety instructions

Failure to follow these instructions can endanger life!
Only authorised electricians are permitted to work on the
power connections of the wireless timer and all other elec-
trical work. All work must comply with the wiring diagrams
provided in these instructions (see page 2).
Always disconnect the power prior to installing or connecting
any electrical equipment.
Any work on electrical equipment carries the risk of fatal injury
from electric shock.
Observe the regulations regarding installation in damp areas.
In particular, observe DIN VDE 0100, section 701 and 702 when
using in damp areas. These regulations contain compulsory protec-
tive measures.
Use of defective equipment can cause a hazard for persons and
material damage (electric shock, short circuit)
Never use defective or damaged units.
Check the motor and mains cable for any damage.
Please refer to our Service Team (see last page), if you nd any
damage to the equipment.
Please instruct all personnel on how to use the radio receiver
safely.
Improper use may lead to an increased risk of injury.
Observe the moving roller shutters and keep all personnel
clear until the shutter’s movement is completed.
Do not allow children to play with xed controls or the remo-
te control.
Keep the hand transmitter in such a way to prevent any acci-
dental operation, e.g. by children playing.
When cleaning the roller shutters, make sure to disconnect
the power.
IMPORTANT
In accordance with DIN EN 13695, care must be taken to ensure
that the movement conditions established for roller shutters as
per EN12045 are observed, therefore with side locking.

Correct use / operating conditions
Use the tubular motor only to open and close roller shutters
and awnings.
The motor cable must be laid in an empty conduit as far as the
junction box, in accordance with local electrical regulations.
Only use the manufacturer’s original components and acces-
sories.
Conditions for use
For electrical connection, the installation site must have a
constant 230 V / 50 Hz electricity supply, with a main circuit
disconnect device (fuse) on site.

Prior to installing the timer, please remove all wires and devices that are not necessary for operation, or shut the devices down.

3Assembly & overview of functions
Assembly
1. First, push the clock module including its power supply from the in-
ner support frame and the outer frame (in order to do this, hold on to
the outer frame on both sides and use your thumb to press against
the power supply from the back).
2. Now install the connections in accordance with the connection plan
shown on page 2

When making the connection, please note that the outer frame
must be already located on the clock module!
4. Once the electrical installation is completed, press the clock module
including the outer frame into the previously installed support fra-
me.
Function overview
Using the radio receiver timer TDRRT-01W, you can convert a simple tubular motor into a convenient wireless motor in no time. The motor can then be
controlled remotely using any of the Jarolift TDR radio transmitters available. In addition, the timer feature an integrated clock for the automatic control of
the motor, as well as buttons for manual operation on-site.

Programming the radio code
Using the radio receiver timer TDRRT-01W, you can convert a simple tubular motor into a convenient wireless motor in no time. The motor can then be
controlled remotely using any of the Jarolift TDR radio transmitters available. In addition, the timer feature an integrated clock for the automatic control of
the motor, as well as buttons for manual operation on-site.
Each button on the hand-held transmitter must be pressed for approx. 1 second!

Copying an existing radio code (only when a transmitter has been programmed)
1. Press the UP and DOWN buttons at the same time on the transmitter already programmed. Then press the STOP button on this transmitter
eight times. The motor will vibrate briey as conrmation.
2. Within 5 seconds, simultaneously press the UP and DOWN button on the transmitter onto which the code should be copied and then press
the STOP button briey. The motor will vibrate briey again as conrmation. The code has been copied to the new transmitter.

Deleting the radio code (only when a transmitter has been programmed)
1. Press the UP and DOWN buttons on the transmitter at the same time. Then press the STOP button six times.
2. Now press the UP button inside 5 seconds. The motor will conrm the code has been deleted by vibrating briey.

5Setting the direction of rotation and inching mode
Changing the direction of rotation of the motor
1. Press the UP and DOWN buttons on the programmed transmitter at the same time. Then press the STOP button four times.
2. Now press the UP button briey inside 5 seconds. The motor will conrm the direction has been changed by vibrating briey.

Setting inching mode
1. Stop the motor using the STOP button.

2. Press the UP and DOWN buttons on the transmitter at the same time and then press the STOP button six times.
3. Now press the DOWN button within 5 seconds. A brief vibration of the motor conrms that the inching mode is activated.

The motor will now operate as long as you press the UP or DOWN button. In inching mode, press the UP or DOWN button for 3 seconds. The
motor moves to the end point or until you press the STOP button.
Please note, timer control will not function while inching mode is set!

3. Now press the DOWN button within 5 seconds. A brief vibration of the motor conrms that the inching mode is deactivated.

Activating and deactivating the timer function

Ensure you are in the main view.
To come out of any menu in the main view, press the STOP button briey.
While in the main menu, keep the STOP button depressed and briey press the K2 button in order to activate or deactivate the cycle time function.
If the timer is active, the symbol of an alarm clock is shown in the main view.

While pressing the UP or DOWN button for three seconds in the inching mode, the motor moves to the end point, or until you press the STOP button.

7Setting the date and time
Setting the current time and the date
1. First, go to the main menu and press the K1 button (for description, see page 4). In the up-
per left-hand corner, the symbol of an alarm clock is shown and the hour display blinks.
2. Use the UP/DOWN arrow key to set the time; press the K1 button to conrm the input.
3. Now the minute display ashes. Follow the procedure as described in point 2. Follow the
same steps when selecting the weekday.
Please note the abbreviations reect the English names for the days of the week
(Su=Sunday, Mo=Monday, Tu=Tuesday, We=Wednesday, Th = Thursday, Fr= Friday, Sa =
Saturday)
4. Once you have completed the settings, press the STOP button. This completes the pro-
gramming mode and the device goes back to the main menu.
Setting the UP and DOWN cycle times.
1. Go to the main menu and press the K2 button in order to access the operating schedule menu. An
alarm clock is now shown in the upper left-hand corner of the display. You can program up to 8 UP
and 8 DOWN cycle times.
2. Toggle through the individual memory positions by pressing the K2 button. (The arrows on the left-
hand side of the display indicate whether the cycle time refers to the OPEN or CLOSE timing).
This display (-- : --) indicates that the memory position is inactive and the cycle time will not be acti-
vated. If a time is displayed already, continue with step 4; otherwise continue with step 3.

3. In order to re-activate the deactivated memory position, press the K3 button. In order to deactivate
the memory position again, press the K3 button until the time (-- : --) is displayed.
4. Now, press the K1 button to set the time. The hour display ashes now and can be adjusted with the
UP/DOWN button. Press the K1 button again to switch to the minute setting mode. You can use also
the Up/Down arrow key to adjust the minutes here.
5. After pressing the K1 button again, you access the “Weekday” setting mode. Here you can dene to
which weekday(s) the previously adjusted time applies. Use the UP/DOWN arrow key to select the
desired setting.
You may select between:

total working week = Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa (Monday to Saturday)

6. If you are satised with your settings, press the K2 button again in order to switch to the next me-
mory position and start from the beginning; or press the STOP button to leave the programming
process. In order to make changes to the cycle time you have just selected, press the K1 button.
