you keep all objects away from the soldering iron that may be destroyed or
impaired by it in one way or another. Please use the supplied stands.
● After use, allow the soldering iron to cool down before putting it away.
● The product may not become damp or wet. This brings about the risk of a life
threatening electrical shock!
● Only transport the unit when it is completely cooled down, otherwise there is a
risk of burns or of fire! The same applies for when you wish to, for example,
change the soldering tip (unplug the unit from the power supply before doing
so!).
● Never work on electrical components that are under power. Always ensure that
the object you wish to solder is separated from the power supply before you start
work, and check to ensure that it is without voltage.
● Protect both your body and eyes from soldering spray and liquid solder. When
working, wear suit-able protective clothing and goggles.
● The gases that occur during soldering may cause damage to your health. As a
result, you should use a suitable extraction unit or ensure sufficient ventilation, as
and when required.
● When the soldering iron is being used the whole front area becomes very
hot.To avoid burns please only ever take hold of it by the hand grip.
● Don't work with the soldering iron in any area in which there is any risk of an
explosion or where there are any inflammable liquids, gases, or dusts.
● Before starting any maintenance or cleaning work, always pull the plug out of
the socket and allow the soldering iron to cool down.
● Symbols affixed to your unit may not be removed or covered. Information on
the unit that is no longer legible must be replaced immediately.
Before putting the unit into operation, read and observe the instructions for use.

4. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Intended use
This soldering station is used to create soldered connections with soft-soldering
in electrics and electronics.
The appliance is designed for soldering for private use.
This product is not intended for commercial use.Generally acknowledged
accident prevention regulations and enclosed safety instructions must be
observed.
Only perform work described in these instructions for use.Any other use is
improper. The manufacturer will not assume responsibility for damage resulting
from such use.
Mounting/changing the soldering tip
WARNING! Risk of injury! Allow the soldering station to cool down completely
before changing the tip.
CAUTION! Risk of injury! Some tips are very sharp.Always wear gloves and/or
use pliers when changing tips.
The pointed soldering tip is particularly suitable for point soldering and thin
cables. The flat soldering tip is particularly suitable for light electrical work.
Proceed as follows to change the soldering tip:
- Unscrew the existing tip to remove it from the tip

7
holder.
- Screw the new tip firmly into the threaded tip
holder. Do not overtighten.
Preparing the sponge
- Place the cleaning sponge into its tray and moisten it slightly before use.
Switching ON/OFF and selecting the working temperature
To switch ON and select the working temperature:
- Slide the ON/OFF switch (3) to the [ I ]position.
● The temperature display shows the preset
target temperature fora few seconds, followed
by the actual temperature of the soldering tip.
● The working temperature can be set from
200 to 450°C .
- Select the required working temperature either by pressing one of the preset
buttons or by pushing the [ + ] or the [ - ] button for steps of 10 °C up or down.
● You can see on the display when the soldering tip reaches the correct working
temperature.
- To switch OFF: Slide the ON/OFF switch to the [ 0 ] position.
Working temperature
The correct working temperature depends several factors, such as:
● the kind of solder that is used
● the thickness and the size of the workpiece.
● the material and the thermal conductivity of the workpiece
For soldering, we recommend that you start with a rather lower temperature
(max.300 °C) and increase the temperature, if necessary. The correct working
temperature is reached when the solder begins to melt as soon as it comes into
contact with the soldering tip.
- For desoldering, choose a higher temperature (400-450°C), depending on the
thickness of the joint.
Soldering
- The soldering tip must be tinned before soldering. Heat up a new or used
soldering tip that has been cleaned with the cleaning sponge and tin the tip by

8
touching solder.
-Always perform a test on a piece of excess mate-rial before soldering.
-Clean the parts you wish to join before starting to solder.
- Move the solder with suitable flux agent towards the outer edge of the soldering
tip to melt the solder. The soldering joint will be covered with flux agent enabling
the solder and the workpiece to join.
- During continuous soldering work, clean the soldering tip with the soldering
sponge and re-tin the tip regularly.
Desoldering
To clean soldering joints by desoldering, you can use a desoldering braid or a
desoldering pump (not supplied).
Desoldering braid:
- Place the desoldering braid over the excess solder and heat it with the
soldering tip .The molten solder flows on to the desoldering braid.
Desoldering pump:
- Heat the excess solder with the soldering tip. Once the solder is molten,
activate the desoldering pump so it removes the solder by a vacuum.
Interrupting and finishing work
The soldering iron must be stored in the soldering iron holder during breaks in
your work.
-After finishing work, move the ON/OFF switch into the [ 0 ] position and place
the soldering iron in the holder to cool down completely.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the mains during long breaks.
● The soldering station must cool down completely before storage.
Standby mode
The soldering iron will go into standby mode after 30minutes of inactivity. In this
mode, the display shows [ 200oC ] and flashes.
- Press any button to finish the standby mode.

9
5. MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
WARNING! Risk of injury! Disconnect the soldering station from the mains and
allow it to cool down before carrying out any maintenance or adjustments.
Maintenance
The soldering station requires very little maintenance, however soot can form on
the tips after some time.Remove with fine sandpaper to ensure accurate and
controlled work. Use only original accessories and spare parts available from the
manufacturer or an authorised service agent. Repairs may only be carried out by
an authorised service centre or competent person.
The tip is a wearing part and must be replaced from time to time.
Cleaning
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit!Never immerse the soldering station inwater
or other liquids.
-Clean the soldering station using a soft, damp cloth.Do not use aggressive
cleaning agents,solvents or petroleum spirit.
Storage
We recommend using the original packaging for storage or covering the
soldering station with a suitable cloth or enclosure to protect it against
dust.Always store the soldering station in a place that is inaccessible to
children. The ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and 30°C.
Transport
- Protect the soldering station against knocks and vibrations during transport.

6. TROUBLESHOOTING
DANGER! Risk of injury! Unprofessional repairs may mean that your unit will no
longer operate safely. This endangers you and your environment.
Malfunctions are often caused by minor faults. You can easily remedy most of
these yourself. Please consult the following table before contacting the vendor.
You will save yourself a lot of trouble and possibly money too.
Error/Fault
Cause
Remedy
Soldering iron does
not heat up.
1. No power supply.
2. Mains cable or plug
damaged.
1. Check that the mains
supply (socket)functions
correctly.Ask a competent
per-son for advice if
necessary.
2. Have the mains cable
replaced by the
manufacturer or the
manufacturer's
representative.
The solder does not
run smoothly on the
soldering iron.
1. The working
temperature is too low.
2. The soldering tip is
loose.
1. Adjust the settings of the
working temperature
2. Switch off the soldering
station, allow it to cool down
and tighten the soldering tip.
