PRODUCT ASSEMBLY
When measuring the length of the pole required, allow for the stack back of the curtain at each end when fully opened.
Mark the position of the brackets approximately 10cm from the edge of the window. For poles longer than 180cm, the centre support
brackets must be used. Position halfway between the end brackets.
Mark the line between the top edges of the brackets using a spirit level.
This product can be fitted either be fitted to a wall or the ceiling.
1.
Positioning
Measure the exact length of pole required and cut square using a hack saw. Smooth the cut edges, inside and out.
For longer runs, the pole may be made up of two lengths, joined by the connector. When cutting, the two lengths should be equal
so that the connector is at the middle point.
2.
Shortening and
lengthening the pole
Place each base plate on its positioning mark. Mark the screw holes for each plate.
Drill the screw holes.
Fix the brackets with the screws supplied.
Refit the cover over the bracket.
Important - To ensure that the pole will be level, drill and fix only one screw hole for each bracket. When you have made any
final adjustments for the exact position required, the remaining screw holes may then be drilled and fixed.
3.
Fixing the base plates
and brackets
Once the pole is cut to the required length and before offering up the pole to the brackets, load the curtain eyelets on to the
pole. If the pole is over 1.8m, ensure you divide the curtains either side of the centre bracket provided.
Now offer up the pole to the brackets, dropping the pole into the cup, and securing with the grub screw, using the allen key
provided.
Push the finials on to the ends of the pole.
Important - When the pole is to be made from two lengths joined together, avoid putting the joint under pressure, making sure it
is well supported at all times. Ideally, two people are required to handle a connected pole.
