This function is particularly useful when blind-
baking pastry. It may also be used to finish off
quichesorflanstoensurethebasepastryiscooked
through.
Grilling
- Mostfoodsshouldbeplacedonthegridinthe
grill pan to allow maximum circulation of air
andto liftthe foodout ofthe fatsand juices.
Foodsuchasfish,liverandkidneysmaybe
placeddirectlyonthegrillpan,ifpreferred.
- Foodshouldbethoroughlydriedbeforegrilling
tominimisesplashing.Brushleanmeatsand
fish lightly with a little oil or melted butter to
keepthemmoistduringcooking.
- Accompaniments such as tomatoes and
mushrooms may be placed underneath the
gridwhengrillingmeats
- Whentoastingbread,wesuggestthatthetop
runnerpositionisused.
- The food should be turned over during
cooking,asrequired.
How to use the Full Grill
1. SwitchtheovenON.
2. Select the double grill by pressing the
Oven
function
controluntilthesymbol appears
inthedisplay.
3. Ifnecessaryadjusttemperaturesettingusingthe
““or“ “controls.
4. Adjust the grid and grill pan runner position to
allowfordifferentthicknessesoffood.Positionthe
foodclosetotheelementforfastercookingand
furtherawayformoregentlecooking.
Preheatthegrillonafullsetting fora fewminutesbefore
sealingsteaksortoasting.Adjusttheheatsettingand
theshelfasnecessary,duringcooking.
Duringcooking,the coolingfanand thethermostat
controllightwilloperateinthesamewayasdescribed
forthefancookingfunction.

How to Use the Thermal Grilling
Thermalgrilling offersanalternativemethodof
cooking food items normally associated with
conventional grilling. The grill element and the
ovenfanoperateatthesametime,circulatinghot
airaroundthefood.Theneedtocheckandturn
the food is reduced. Thermal grilling helps to
minimisecookingsmellsinthekitchen.
Withtheexceptionoftoastandraresteaks,you
canthermallygrillallthefoodsyouwouldnormally
cookunderaconventionalgrill.Cookingismore
gentle,thereforefoodgenerallytakesalittlelonger
to cook with thermal grilling compared with
conventionalgrilling.Oneoftheadvantagesisthat
largerquantitiescanbecookedatthesametime.

3. If necessary, press “ “ or “ “ buttons. to
adjustthetemperaturesetting.
When using Thermal Grill, do not
select temperatures over 200°C.
4. Adjustthegridandgrillpanrunnerpositionto
allow for different thicknesses of food and
followtheinstructionsforgrilling.
