Install th indoor unit as far away from fluor sc nt
lamps as possibl .

vapor is produc d, for xampl in a kitch n.

damag d.
(b) Wh r corrosiv gas, such as sulfurous acid
gas is produc d.

 Do not unpack th unit b for r aching th
installation sit . Wh r unpacking is unavoidabl ,
count rm asur should b don aft r unpacking

to avoid damaging or scratching of th unit.
 Wh n moving th unit during or aft r unpacking,
b sur to avoid putting any pr ssur or str ngth
on th r frig rant piping, drain pip or th oth r
plastic parts, which may damag th unit.
 B for installing th unit, b sur to ch ck th
typ of r frig rant to b us d is R22 or R410A
which should b sam as outdoor unit.
 For th installation of th outdoor unit, pl as
r f r to th installation manual attach d to th
outdoor unit.
3 SELECTING INSTALLATION SITE
 If it has th possibility that th t mp ratur and
humidity insid th c iling might xc d 30°C and
RH80%, pl as r inforc th insulation on th
unit.
Us glass wool or poly thyl n foam as insulation
and its thickn ss is mor than 10mm.
3.1 INSTALLATION SITE REQUIREMENTS
 Th c iling is strong nough to b ar th indoor
unit w ight. If not, pl as r inforc th c iling
b for installation.
 Ensur optimum air distribution and nothing
blocks th air passag .
 Cond nsat wat r can b drain d out smoothly.
 No risk of flammabl gas l akag .
 Ensur suffici nt cl aranc for maint nanc and
s rvic . (R f r to Fig. 1)
 Piping b tw n indoor and outdoor units is within
th allowabl limit.

4 INDOOR UNIT INSTALLATION
4.1 Confirm th installation position
 R f r to Fig. 2 to s th unit’s diam t r and confirm th installation location.

4.2 Ch ck if th unit is horizontally l v l
 Mak sur that th unit is install d l v l using a
spirit l v l or a plastic tub fill d with wat r. (R f r
to Fig. 4)
(On thing to watch out for in particular is if th
unit is install d so that th slop is not in th
dir ction of th drain pip , which might caus
cond nsat wat r l aking.)

4.3 Install th susp nsion bolts
Shall nsur th unit b ing in horizontal l v l and
install d firmly. Install anchor bolt to fix unit
s cur ly if n c ssary.
5 REFRIGERANT PIPING WORK
 Ex cut insulation compl t ly on both sid s of th
gas piping and th liquid piping. Oth rwis ,
cond nsat wat r may b form d and dropp d
down.
 Pl as us th insulation mat rials that can
withstand t mp ratur of at l ast 120°C. R inforc
th insulation on th r frig rant piping according
to th installation nvironm nt. Oth rwis ,
cond nsat wat r may form on th surfac of th
insulation.
Pl as follow th b low it ms.
 Apply st r oil or th r oil to th flar s ction
(int rnal and xt rnal surfac ) wh n using a flar
conn ction.
 Only th flar nuts includ d with th unit can b
us d. Using diff r nt flar nuts may caus
r frig rant l akag .
 To pr v nt dust, moistur or oth r contaminant
from infiltrating th piping, ith r pinch th nd or
cov r it with tap .
 Do not allow anything oth r than th d signat d
r frig rant to g t mix d into th r frig rant circuit,
such as air, tc.
 Wh n brazing th r frig rant piping, p rform
nitrog n r plac m nt first, or p rform brazing
whil f ding nitrog n into th r frig rant piping,
and finally conn ct th indoor unit using th flar
conn ctions.
 Wh n brazing a pip whil f ding nitrog n insid
th pip , mak sur to s t th nitrog n pr ssur to
0.02MPa (0.2kgf/cm
2
) around.
 Do not us flux wh n brazing r frig rant piping.
Th r for , us th phosphor copp r brazing fill r
m tal (BCuP) which do s not r quir flux.
If chlorin or fluoric bas d flux is us d, it will caus
pip corrosion and contamination of r frig rant oil
5.1 Conn ct th piping

5.2 AIR TIGHT TEST
 Air tight t st should b don aft r th piping
conn ction compl t d.
 Op ration m thod:
(a) Fill in dry nitrog n into th r frig rant piping
and l t th pr ssur slowly ris to 4.3MPa.
(b) Th sp cifi d pr ssur should b maintain d
for 10 minut s, and th n soapy wat r or oth r
foaming ag nt ar appli d to th conn ction
positions, such as brazing s ams, scr w d
joints , tc. for l akag d t ction.
(c) If it has l akag , th n tight n or braz th
l akag point.
(d) Aft r it has b n confirm d that th piping
do s not l ak, th dw lling t st should b
p rform d. Fill in th dry nitrog n again and
l t th pr ssur slowly ris to 4.3MPa.
( ) Th pr ssur n ds to b maintain d for 6
hours and th n r cord th pr ssur valu
through th manom t r. 24 hours lat r, r cord
th pr ssur again.
(f) No pr ssur drop aft r 24 hours m ans it has
no l akag . Oth rwis , th l aking point must
b found and m nd d. Th n r p at th abov
(d) and ( ) st ps.
 Gas pr ssur is r l vant to ambi nt t mp ratur .
So t mp ratur should b consid r d wh n judging
th pr ssur variation. Th r lationship of pr ssur
and t mp ratur is shown b low.

5.3 Insulat th piping

pip with suffici nt thickn ss h at-r sistant
polythyl n mat rials.
 B sur to insulat th fi ld piping all th way to
th piping conn ction insid th unit. Any xpos d
piping may casu cond nsat wat r or b ing
scald d if touch d.
6 DRAIN PIPING WORK
 YDVC s ri s indoor unit drain pip is th fr
drainag .
 B sur th drain pip works w ll and smothly
b for making th duct conn ction. (It is not asy
to ch ck th drain pip wh n th duct has b n
conn ct d.)
6.1 Install th drain pip
 Mak sur th drain works prop rly.
 Diam t r of th drain pip should b larg r than or
qual to th on of th conn cting pip . (drain pip
conn ction diam t r of indoor unit is Ф20)
 Mak a wat r trap on th drain pip outl t from
indoor unit. Th wat r trap should m t b low
r quir m nts. (A, B ≥ 50mm)
 If c ntral drain pip has b n us d, k p th drain
pip short and sloping downwards at a gradi nt of
at l ast 2/100 to pr v nt air pock ts from forming.

drain pip and dropping down, th drain pip
should b insulat d.
6.2 Ch ck th drain pip
 Aft r piping work is finish d, ch ck if drainag
flows smoothly.

wat r into th drain pan to ch ck drainag
status.
 Th l ctric wiring works should b p rform d by
sp cially qualifi d l ctricians.
 If no l ctricians in sit , pl as flow th abov
st ps to do drainag confirmation aft r th syst m
t st running.
7 INSTALLING THE DUCT
 Mat rials for duct installation ar suppli d in th
fi ld.

poly thyl n foam, abov 25mm thickn ss)

outl t duct with indoor unit.
8 ELECTRIC WIRING WORK
8.1 G n ral introduction
 R f r to figur 11 for indoor unit l ctrical wiring.
 All fi ld suppli d parts and mat rials and l ctric
works must conform to local laws.
 Only copp r wir s can b us d.
 Pl as r f r to th wiring diagram attach d with
th unit wh n p rforming th l ctric work.

wir controll r for l ctric and d tail d instruction.
 All wiring works should b p rform d by sp cially
qualifi d l ctricians.
 Shall install th circuit br ak r that can shut off th
whol syst m.
 Do not turn on th pow r supply unl ss all th
work has b n don .

outdoor unit for sp cifications of circuit br ak r
switch and wir , tc.
 Th syst m incorporat s multipl indoor units.

8.6 Install th controll r
 Install th wir controll r on th pr -r s rv d sit
on th wall.
 Carcassing for communication wiring should b
r ady b for installation th controll r. Th
r comm nd d communication lin is RVSP2 ×
0.75. B sur to pull th wir s through th PVC
conduit.
Not : th communication wir and PVC conduit
ar th fi ld suppli d parts.
8.7 Conn ct th wir controll r and indoor unit
 Group control can b r aliz d through th wir
controll r. On wir controll r can conn ct to
max 4 indoor units.
 Th indoor units in on group should b
conn ct d in on and sam pow r supply to
guarant normal initialization of wir controll r
wh n pow r on.
