SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: Avoid personal injury and product damage by complying with the following important
operating and maintenance instructions.
Avoid Electric Shock
WARNING: To reduce risk of electric shock, perform only the instructions that are included in the
operating instructions. Refer all servicing to qualified service technician.
Do not apply power to the DVB-T Digital Modulator until all components have been installed and all
wiring has been properly terminated. Failure to do so may result in damage to the product and void
manufacturer’s warranty.
Do not attempt to terminate, change or un-install any wiring without first unplugging the Power Cord
from the DVB-T Digital Modulator.
The power supply voltage must not exceed the supplier recommended VAC, otherwise the modulator
could suffer irreparable damage and subsequent invalidation of the warranty.
Note:
•Do not connect the modulator to the power if the power cord is damaged
•Do not plug the modulator into the mains supply until all cables have been connected
•Do not cut the cord
Servicing
WARNING: Avoid electric shock! Opening or removing the cover may expose you to dangerous
voltages. Do not open the cover of this product and attempt service. Refer all servicing to a qualified
technician only.
Cleaning, Water, Moisture, Open Flame
WARNING: Do not expose any component to moisture. Doing so can create electrical hazards or
render the component unusable. Exposure to moisture will also void the warranty on the system.
To protect this product against damage from moisture and open flames, do the following:
•Before cleaning, unplug this product from the AC outlet. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
Use a dry cloth for cleaning
•Avoid placing the modulator next to central heating components and in areas of high humidity
•Do not expose this product to moisture
•Do not place this product on a wet surface or spill liquids on or near this product
•Do not place or use candles or other open flames near or on this product

DIGITAL MODULATOR - 4 x HDMI INPUTS TO DVB-T MPEG4
Ventilation
WARNING: To protect this product against damage from overheating, do the following:
•This product has openings for ventilation to protect it from overheating.
To ensure product reliability, do not block or cover these openings
•Do not open this product
•Do not push objects through openings in the product or enclosure
•If the modulator has been kept in cold conditions for a long time, keep it in a warm room no less
than 2 hours before plugging it into the mains.
•Do not place the modulator on top or underneath a PVR device, as this could cause overheating
Placement
WARNING: Avoid personal injury and damage to this product! An unstable surface
may cause this product to fall. To protect this product against damage from breakage,
do the following:
•Place this product close enough to a mains AC outlet to accommodate the length of
the product power cord
•Route all power supply cords so that people cannot walk on, or place objects on,
or lean objects against them. This can pinch or damage the cords. Pay particular
attention to cords at plugs, outlets and the points where the cords exit the product
•Make sure the mounting surface or rack is stable and can support the size and
weight of this product
•Move any appliance and cart combination with care. Quick stops, excessive force,
and uneven surfaces may cause the appliance and cart to overturn
Disconnecting
WARNING: Avoid electric shock! Always turn off the modulator then disconnect the power cable
prior to disconnecting the HDMI leads and RF output lead. Avoid product damage! Never attempt to
service or repair the modulator, always refer any hardware faults to a qualified service technician.
Grounding Terminal
WARNING: This product is equipped with an external grounding terminal, attach one end of an
approved sized earth wire to the grounding terminal, then, attach the other end of the earth wire to
an earth ground, such as the equipment rack that is grounded or directly to the CET.
Important Notice
Please read this manual carefully, troubleshooting must be done via reading each chapter and following the
instructions and procedures. The guide is applicable to all HDMI DVB-T Modulators within our product range.

1.1 Product Overview
Digital modulators integrate encoding and modulation (DVB-T) to convert HDMI audio video signals into an
RF output. This product is equipped with 4 HDMI inputs. The HDMI audio video input source signals could
be from a variety of sources, for example: Satellite receivers, PC's, OTT boxes, CCTV cameras, Blu-Ray / DVD
players and any other device with an HDMI output. The RF output signals are to be received by TV's or STB's
with the corresponding DVB-T MPEG4 standard. Our modulators are wildly used in shopping centres, theatres,
hotels, resorts and hospitals just to name a few. They are also used for advertising, monitoring, training and
education in companies, schools, universities, colleges and TAFE. It’s the ideal choice to offer HD channels.

2.5 Grounding Requirement
•All functioning devices must have good grounding as it is the basis of reliability and stability of the devices.
Also, they are the most important guarantee of lightning arresting and interference rejection. Therefore, the
system must follow this important Australian Standard and ACMA rule
•The grounding conductor must adopt copper conductor in order to reduce high frequency impedance, and
the grounding wire must be as thick [As per the Australian Standard] and short as possible
•Users should make sure the 2 ends of grounding wire are crimped or soldered to avoid corrosion / oxidisation
•It is prohibited to use any other device or cable as part of grounding the devices
