You’ve got a brand new Joovv Go and everything you need for effective, safe, and convenient light
therapy treatments that deliver a wide range of clinically-proven health benefits.
Your Joovv Go delivers medical-grade irradiance (or light power) to your skin with visible red light
in the mid-600 nanometer range or invisible infrared light in the mid-800 nanometer range. These
specific wavelengths of natural light have been widely studied in peer-reviewed research and
found to be the most therapeutic.

Once your Joovv Go is charged, you can use it
just about anywhere or anytime. Here’s how:
Before You Start
For optimal results and safe use, follow these 3
steps before starting a treatment with the
Joovv Go.
Read the manual: Please read these
instructions in full before using the Joovv Go.
STEP 1
Charge your Joovv Go: To charge your Joovv Go, carefully plug the Type-C end of the USB
cable into the Type-C connector on the device, as show in Figure A. Plug the other end of the
cable into the USB Power Adaptor. Allow up to (3) hours to fully charge your Joovv Go. Once
the device is fully charged, all three indicator lights will light up in a solid color.
STEP 2
Check for photosensitivity: To check if you are photosensitive, turn on your Joovv Go and
expose an area of your forearm 6 inches from the device, for 3 minutes. If you experience
redness or discomfort, you may be photosensitive. In this case, please consult with a doctor
or healthcare provider prior to using the Joovv Go.

Starting a Treatment
Once your Joovv Go is charged, press the power
button to start a light therapy treatment, as shown in
Figure B. You can use it anywhere on your body. For
best results, use on bare skin and follow these steps:
Position your Joovv Go 2-6 inches from the
treatment area.
Press the power button for 2 seconds to start a
treatment. The Joovv Go will operate for 10
minutes, which is the recommended treatment
time.
To stop a treatment early, press and hold the power
button for 2 seconds, which will turn off your Joovv
Go.

To pair your Joovv Go, first download the Joovv app
from either the Apple Store or Google Play. Then
follow the prompts on the Joovv app to complete the
pairing process.
You can see the Bluetooth pairing status by the
indicator light next to the charging port, as shown in
Figure C. By default, Bluetooth will be off. To pair the
Joovv Go with your Bluetooth enabled device, press
and hold the power button for 10 seconds. The
Bluetooth indicator light will flash indicating it’s ready
to pair then will turn solid when successfully paired.
The Bluetooth will remain on until the treatment is
completed, or until the device is powered off. You will
need to repeat the steps above to enable Bluetooth
each time after the device has been powered on.

you’re having difficulties with the Joovv Go or have additional questions or concerns that aren’t addressed in this
manual, you can email [email protected] or go to www.joovv.com for additional online support.
Customer Service
Your Joovv Go requires no maintenance beyond basic cleaning. To clean the device, simply unplug it
and wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh cleaners or bleaches, as they may damage
the device. Make sure your Joovv Go is dry before use. The Joovv Go is intended for indoor use only.
If your Joovv Go doesn’t turn on: Make sure your Joovv Go is charged and the wall outlet you’re
using is working. Make sure you’re using the charging cable that came with your Joovv Go and that
the charging block is the supplied charger or it meets the following specifications: 5V, 3A. If you’re
still having trouble, your device may need to be serviced. Please email [email protected] with a
summary of your situation.
If you can’t pair with the Joovv app: Make sure your Joovv Go is charged. Check the Bluetooth
indicator light by the charging port. If the light is off, push and hold the power button for 10
seconds to start the pairing process. Follow the prompts on the Joovv app to completion.
If your treatment stops early: The battery is likely too low. Follow the charging instructions.
Troubleshooting
Joovv, Inc. (Joovv) warrants that the Joovv Go will function and perform within the specifications for one (1) year from
the date of delivery. The warranty covers all parts and labor during the warranty period with some exclusions. If
required, the buyer is responsible for return shipping to Joovv within the 1-year warranty period. The warranty shall not
apply to equipment that has been abused, modified, damaged, or fitted with substitute parts other than parts supplied
by Joovv. Joovv shall not be liable for any consequential loss or inconvenience caused by any failure of its products.
After the warranty period has concluded, the user is required to pay for all parts and labor charges. If the device is
repaired or replaced, either within or outside the warranty period, Joovv reserves the right to provide parts in different
colors than the original device. To obtain warranty service, please email [email protected] or visit www.joovv.com/
warranty to request an authorization number.

The Joovv Go and its production process have been cleared by the
Food and Drug Administration.
When you aren’t using the Joovv Go, store the device in a dry room,
making sure it’s protected from excessive moisture, heat, and dust.
For proper use and safety, read this manual, follow all instructions,
and DO NOT do any of the following with the Joovv Go.
DO NOT exceed 20 minutes of use in one therapy session.
DO NOT let children use the Joovv Go without adult supervision.
DO NOT use this device on infants.
DO NOT let sleeping, disabled, or unconscious persons use the
Joovv Go.
DO NOT use on open wounds.
DO NOT use in combination with liniments, salves, ointments, or
balms that contain heat-producing ingredients. A skin burn
could result.
DO NOT modify or attempt to repair this equipment. The Joovv
Go contains no parts that are serviceable by the user.
If this equipment is modified in anyway, appropriate inspection
must be taken to ensure continued safe use.
The Joovv Go is an electrical device. To avoid electric shock and
other electricity-related dangers, adhere to the following
instructions:
DO NOT drop your device in water or other liquids or place it
where it may fall into water or other liquids. Do not expose to
running water. If your device comes into contact or becomes
submerged into water or other liquid, unplug it immediately
from the electrical power outlet. If device is to be used in the
vicinity of water, we recommend using an electrical outlet
protected by Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter.
DO NOT wash electrical parts with water or other liquids.
DO NOT directly touch the device or touch the plugs or switches
with wet hands.
DO NOT apply or touch the device to, or with, wet or damp skin.
DO NOT pull, carry, or lift the device by its cord. If the cord
is damaged, don’t use the device.
DO NOT use on or near heated surfaces.
DO NOT operate this device in areas where it could be exposed
to flammable or combustible products or vapours. Explosion of
fire may occur.
DO NOT store your device in hot temperatures exceeding 140°F
(60°C).
DO NOT use your device if it is damaged. Continuous use of a
damaged device may result in electric shock or injury.
DO NOT use extension cords unless they are designed to carry
the total rated wattage of the device being powered.
DO NOT travel with the Joovv Go without the included carrying
case.
DO NOT unplug by pulling directly on the cord. Grasp the plug
itself, not the cord, when unplugging from an outlet.
DO NOT cover the cooling fans while operating the device.
We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider prior to
use if you believe you are sensitive to light. Cold and allergy
medications, pain medications, and medications used to treat
infections may cause light sensitivity. We also recommend
consulting with your healthcare provider prior to using the Joovv
Go if you are:

Recently had a steroid injection or use topical steroids
If you experience discomfort or have a concern about the device,
stop use immediately and contact your healthcare provider. Unplug
from outlet when not in use to avoid tripping hazards.
The symbol on the left, found on the Joovv Go or its
packaging, indicates that this device may not be
disposed of with other household waste. This device
requires disposal via a designated collection point for
the recycling of electrical waste. Please recycle your equipment at
the time of disposal to help conserve natural resources and protect
human health and the environment.

The Joovv Go is registered as a class II medical device with FDA.

Light therapy—or photobiomodulation (PBM)—is a non-invasive therapy that delivers natural
light to your skin and cells. Joovv uses only specific red and near infrared wavelengths that
have been found to be the most clinically therapeutic, without harmful UV rays, heat, or side
effects. Joovv uses medical-grade LEDs to deliver the light to your skin and cells, where it
produces a wide range of clinically-proven health benefits.
What is light therapy?
Light therapy works at the cellular level, in your mitochondria. They’re the powerhouses of
your cells, always hard at work making more ATP (adenosine triphosphate) energy to fuel
your body. The photons in red and near infrared light excite the electrons involved in cellular
respiration, breaking up nitric oxide bonds and letting hydrogen and water move through the
process. The more efficiently your cells create ATP energy through cellular respiration, the
better your cells function on all levels, and the better your body feels and performs.

For optimal cellular health, including deep
tissue, we recommend a 10-minute session
for each treatment area.
How long should I use my Joovv Go?
Eye protection isn't necessary, but we don't
recommend looking directly at the LEDs, as
it can be uncomfortable until your eyes are
accustomed to the light. We recommend
closing your eyes until you find that it’s
comfortable to open them.
Do I need to wear eye protection?
Near infrared (NIR) light is invisible to the
naked eye. The NIR Joovv Go model uses 850
nanometer LEDs that will not produce
significant visible light. Don’t worry, it’s still
working. There’s a slight glow from the LEDs
that you can see in dark conditions to verify
the LEDs are operating.
Why do the near infrared LEDs look
like they’re not working?
You can wear clothes, just make sure the
area of your body you're treating with the
Joovv Go is fully exposed to the light.
Can I wear clothes when using the
Joovv Go?
Do not use the Joovv Go on infants or allow
children to use the Joovv Go without adult
supervision. Children 12 and up may use the
previously-referenced treatment times.
Children under 12 should use half that time.
Is it safe for children to use the
Joovv Go?
Light therapy has been proven in thousands
of clinical studies to be very safe, with
minimal side effects. However, if you use
medications such as Tetracycline, Digoxin,
Retin A, and/or other photosensitizing drugs,
we recommended consulting with your
doctor or healthcare provider before using
the Joovv Go.
Will the Joovv Go interfere with the
medications I use?
Most people will see benefits like increased
muscle recovery, pain relief, and wound
healing fairly quickly. However, more
systemic benefits like enhanced skin health,
energy, sleep, etc. can take 8-12 weeks of
consistent use. By using your Joovv Go on a
daily basis, you can maximize your body’s
rate of response and healing.
