Instructions for Use
The BUSTER Kennel Mats have been designed to fit
standard kennel sizes. They are made of tough nylon that
can be scrubbed and cleaned using all common veterinary
disinfectants and parvocides. This helps reduce the need for
conventional washing and tumble drying of bedding, hence
reducing electricity usage. The BUSTER Kennel Mats eliminate
the need to line kennels with newspaper and help reduce
clinical waste.
Inserting Gel Packs
Each BUSTER Kennel Mat comes with one or more gel packs
depending on size. Open the Velcro flap on one end of the
mat. This will expose two zips. Unzip the zipper closest to the
attachment of the flap. This will reveal a pocket running the
length of the mat. Insert the activated and warmed/cooled gel
pack(s) into the pocket. For the larger sizes of mat there are
Velcro dividers in the main pocket that prevent the gel packs
from rucking up. Once all the required gel packs have been
inserted close the zipper and replace the Velcro flap.
Cleaning
Remove large amounts of debris or faecal material.
The BUSTER Kennel Mat can be scrubbed with all the
common veterinary disinfectants and parvocides. Once clean,
rinse with clean water. Allow to drip dry. It is recommended
that periodically the sealed foam pouch (accessed via
the second zip under the Velcro flap) is removed and the
BUSTER Kennel Mat cover soaked over night in disinfectant
or parvocide. The cover should be rinsed thoroughly in clean
water before being allowed to drip dry. Wipe the sealed foam
pouch with disinfectant or parvocide. Re-insert the foam
pouch into the cover.
DO NOT MACHINE WASH THE COVER AS THIS WILL
AFFECT ITS WATERPROOF PROPERTIES

Activation of the BUSTER Gel Pack
1. Remove the BUSTER Gel Pack from its packaging.
2. Submerse in luke warm water.
3. Squeeze vigorously under water.
4. Continue for about 3 minutes or until the cells are fully
expanded.
Alternatively the BUSTER Gel Pack can be placed in a washing
machine on a rinse cycle. Multiple packs can be activated in
this way.
After several uses the gel packs may need some reactivation.
Should this be required, repeat steps 2-3.
Instructions for Use.
Cold
1. Make sure the activated BUSTER Gel Pack is free of
moisture.
2. Place flat in a freezer or the freezer compartment of a fridge.
Leave for 24 hours or until the pack is sufficiently chilled.
3. Place the frozen/chilled gel pack into the special pockets
in the BUSTER Kennel Mats. Alternatively wrap in a towel
if not using with the kennel mats. Do not allow the animal
to come into direct contact with the freezer gel packs.
Hot
1. Microwave on full power for 2 minutes.
2. Check the temperature of the BUSTER Gel Pack at
various sites. If still too cold microwave for a further
30 seconds. If too hot allow to cool before use.
3. Place the BUSTER Gel Pack into the pockets in the
BUSTER Kennel Mats. Alternatively wrap in a towel if not
using with the BUSTER Kennel Mats. Do not allow the
animal to come into direct contact with the
BUSTER Gel Pack.
ALWAYS CHECK THE TEMPERATURE OF THE BUSTER GEL PACKS BEFORE USE.
The gel packs are non toxic if consumed.
