The Airtight Joto-Vent can be rotated as shown
below to avoid the cross-beam colliding with an
anchor bolt. Make sure that the “Joto” logo is
always facing up.

Install the Airtight Joto-Vent by placing them closely, end-to-end, on top of the foundation
where there is NOT to be ventilation (illustrated in examples (1) and (2) below).

• Avoid storage under very high or very low temperatures. Do not store the
products outdoors. Doing so may lead to deformation of the products.
• Do not apply heat to the products and avoid unnecessary shock or impact
on the products.
•
Make sure to choose the correct products matching the foundation dimensions.
• Make sure the nished top of the foundation is at and smooth for proper
installation. Rough or uneven top surface of the foundation may deteriorate
air sealing.
•
Do not remove or dispose of the black foam material attached to the product.
• The product has a top side and a bottom side. It can be rotated, but not
ipped. Install the products with the “Joto” mark facing up.
CAUTION
• Wear appropriate protective gear such as gloves, hard hats, and protective
glasses while at work. Use appropriate cutting tools. Never use
inappropriate tools for cutting purpose such as sander to cut by friction.
Properly handle the tools per manufacturers' operations manual.
• Provide necessary personnel and equipment to ensure safety transportation
of the products.
• Do not throw or drop the products. Do not step on the products or put
anything on them. Doing so may lead to personal injury or property
damages.
• Be careful about sharp corners and edges of the products.
• Never burn, eat, or let children play with the products. Doing so may lead to
serious injury and or accidents.

●The product will lock together as shown below.
*Where necessary, the product can be cut to length.
●When cutting the product, stick the supplied
EPDM Foam Pad to the cut surface. When
connecting products as a butt joint, cut the
locking parts from the adjacent piece, and install
ensuring both pieces are in close contact.
●The Airtight Joto-Vent also locks together at 90-degree angles
to be used in corners.
●Use the supplied EPDM Foam Pad both on the top and below
the corner intersection as shown below.
●When cutting the product, stick the supplied
EPDM Foam Pad to the cut surface. When
connecting products as a butt joint, cut the
locking parts from the adjacent piece, and install
ensuring both pieces are in close contact.
