Identifying the parts of your Judge Desk Fan
Parts ,,and may vary visually between different
models but assembly and functionality is the same.

Desk Fan
Assembly
Your Judge Desk Fan is supplied ready for easy home assembly.
Base assembly
1. Position the Stand Base onto the Base Surround .
2. Secure with the supplied screws (6-8 depending on model/size).
Do not over-tighten the screws.
Blade and guard grille assembly
1. Unscrew the Guard Grille Retaining Ring from the front of the Motor Housing
by rotating it anti-clockwise.
2. The Front and Rear Guard Grilles are packed nested inside each other,
separate the two halves.
3. Position the Rear Guard Grille against the front of the Motor Housing
ensuring that the locating pegs on the Motor Housing are engaged correctly
in the holes in the Rear Guard Grille .
4. Screw the Guard Grille Retaining Ring firmly onto the Motor Housing by
rotating clockwise to tighten.
5. If necessary remove and discard the PVC sleeve on the Motor Spindle .
6. Place the Fan Blade onto the Motor Spindle , locating the slot at the back
of the Fan Blade on the drive pin that passes through the Motor Spindle.
7. Screw the Blade Retaining Knob onto the Motor Spindle by rotating it anti-
clockwise, and tighten firmly against the front of the Fan Blade .
8. Position the Front Guard Grille against the Rear Guard Grille so that the
holes in the rims that accept the small nut and bolt (supplied) are in line. Insert
the Bolt through the hole and screw on the Nut . Do not fully tighten at this
stage.
9. Push both Guard Grille Retaining Clips down into position ensuring that they
engage correctly on the rim of the Guard Grille .
10. Fully tighten the Small Nut and Bolt .

Desk Fan
Use
Always position your desk fan on a
dry level surface.
1. To tilt the head up or down to the
required position, first loosen the
Position Knob on the side of the
fan. Angle the head of the Fan then
secure by tightening the Position
Knob .
2. To engage/ disengage the head
oscillation, push in/pull out the
Clutch Knob .
3. Plug the Desk Fan into a suitable
power socket.
4. The fan is switched on using the
Push Buttons on the Base;
0= Off
1= Low Speed
2= Medium Speed
3= High Speed (JEA54 12” Model Only)
Cleaning
To clean the fan body
• Always unplug the fan before
cleaning or disassembling.
• Clean using a soft cloth, moistened
with a mild soap solution.
• Do not immerse fan in water or allow
water to drip into the fan housing.
• Do not use harsh chemical cleaners.
• Ensure the fan is completely dry
before further use.
To clean the blade
• Always unplug the fan before
cleaning or disassembling.
• Remove the Small Nut and Bolt .
• Open the Guard Grille Retaining
Clips to remove the Front
Guard Grille .
• Clean the Fan Blade with a soft
cloth, moistened with a mild soap
solution.
• Replace the Front Guard Grille and
secure using the Small Nut and Bolt
and Guard Grille Retaining Clips .
• Ensure the fan is completely dry
before further use.
To store
• Clean and dry the fan thoroughly,
store in the original box.

• Do not place the appliance in an open
window where it could come into
contact with moisture of any kind.
• Unplug the appliance from power
outlet when not in use, when moving
from one location to another, before
assembly or disassembly and before
cleaning.
• Do not touch any moving parts.
• Do not operate without fan grilles
properly in place.
• Do not operate in the presence of
flammable fumes.
• Do not place fan or any parts near an
open flame cooking or other heating
appliance.
• Do not switch on or attempt to
operate the appliance if it appears to
be faulty in any way - contact Judge

• Do not use outdoors.
• Never attempt to make any repair to
the appliance yourself - contact Judge

given in the warranty section.
• The use of attachments not
recommended or sold by the
appliance manufacturer may cause
hazards.
• DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART OF THE
APPLIANCE IN WATER.
• This product is intended for domestic
use only.
• Please retain your purchase receipt.

Electrical Guarantee covers the
product to be free of defects in
materials and workmanship for
a period of TWO YEARS from the
date of original retail purchase.
• During this period, JUDGE will,
at their option, repair or replace
defective parts of the product, or
replace the product, providing the
Use Care and Safety Advice have
been followed.
• The Guarantee does not cover
damage, defect or failure caused
by or resulting from accidents,
external damage, alteration,
modification, abuse, misuse or
misapplication.
• The Guarantee does not cover
any damage caused by taking
the appliance apart yourself,
or attempting to repair the
appliance yourself.
