Inserting the batteries
1. Open the battery cover on
the underside of the scale.
2. Install 4 x 1.5V AAA batteries as
shown, making sure to match the
polarity with the diagram. Failure
to do so may damage the scale.
3. Replace the battery cover.
Kcal function
While weighing:
Positioning the scale,
turning on and off
• Always position the scale on a solid and
level surface for consistent results.
• Turn the scale on by pressing the Tare
/ Power Button . LCD Display will
display HELLO before displaying 0*.
• To turn the scale off, press and hold the
Tare / Power Button for 2 seconds.
Weighing mode selection
Once you have turned the scale on:
• Press the Mode Button to change
the unit of measurement between
g / oz / lb:oz / water-ml / milk-ml.
Weighing/measuring
and unit conversion
1. Position the scale as described above.
2. If using a bowl or other container,
place it on the Weighing Platform
before turning on the scale.
3. LCD Display will display 0*.
4. Add the item to be weighed/measured
to the bowl or other container or directly
onto the Weighing Platform .
5. The LCD Display will display
the weight/volume in your
chosen unit of measurement.
• To convert the measured weight
unit to volume and vice versa
press the Mode Button .
Add weigh/tare function
• To weigh consecutively without removing
the previous item from the scale press
the Power/Tare button to reset the LCD
to 0*before adding the next item.
*Exact zeroed display will vary depending on mode.

1. Weigh your item as described in “Weighing/Measuring”.
2. Press the corresponding Food Kcal Calculation Button under the LCD Display .
• The LCD Display will show Kcal.
• To return to weight measurement, press the Mode Button .
Error messages and unexpected behaviour
Error Problem Solution
Scale is not stable before weighing See ‘Positioning the scale’.
Items weighing over 2kg
are present on the weighing
platform before tuning on.
Remove items and
turn on again.
Scale is overloaded
(More than 10 kg).
Remove items and
turn on again.
Kcal amount is over 199999. Remove items and
turn on again.
• If the scale fails to power on please check that the inserted
batteries are sound and inserted with the correct polarity.
• If buttons fail to respond ensure there is no liquid on the buttons.
Cleaning
• When necessary, clean the
scale with a slightly damp
cloth. Never immerse the scale
in water or use chemical/
abrasive cleaning agents.
• All plastic parts should be
cleaned immediately after
contact with fats, spices,
vinegar and strongly flavoured
/ coloured foods. Avoid contact
with acidic citrus juices.
Care and storage
• The Scale is a high precision device.
Striking, shaking or dropping the scale
may result in inaccurate results.
• When not in use store in a cool, dry place.
• Remove batteries before
storing for long periods.
• Store the scale flat, never upright.
• Do not store other items
on top of the scale.
