GENERAL POINTS
This hair dryer, specially designed for hotel use, is equipped with a
rocker switch in the handle which prevents its use except when held in
the hand. A soft pressure on the handle is needed to switch on the hair
dryer. It has six operating levels.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are
present, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTION BEFORE USING.
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER.
DANGER –As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are
electrically live even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death by electrical shock:
Always “unplug it” immediately after using.
Do not use while bathing.
Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a
tub or sink.
Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
If an appliance falls in to water, “unplug it” immediately. Do not
reach into the water.
WARNING –To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury to
persons:
An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in.
Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by,
on, or near children or individuals with certain disabilities.
Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this
manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer.
Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it
is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged in any
manner or dropped into water. Return the appliance to a service
center for examination and repair.
Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft
surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be
locked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
Keep the cord away from hot or heated surfaces. Do not wrap the
cord around the appliance.
Never use while sleeping

Never drop or insert any object into any opening or hose.
Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products
are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
Do not place the heated unit directly on any surface while it is hot
or still plugged in.
Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.
Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other heat-sensitive areas.
Attachments may be hot during use. Allow them to cool before
handling.
Do not place appliance on any surface while it is operating or
while switch is turned on.
While using the appliance, keep your hair out of it. Keep your hair
away from the air inlets.
Do not operate with a voltage converter.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage
appliance on the same circuit.
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it
still do not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.
To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion
marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should
be serviced and the line cord replaced.
Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could
place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and
cause it to fray and break.

DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY
DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR
STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
HOW TO USE THE ALCI
This appliance is equipped with an ALCI (appliance leakage current
interrupter) safety device specifically engineered for safety. It is for
household use and may be plugged into a standard AC electrical outlet
(ordinary household current).
HOW ALCI SAFETY DEVICE WORKS
The ALCI safety device in this unit is built into the plug. This device will
make it is inoperable under some abnormal conditions, such as
accidental immersion in water. If the appliance is immersed in
water, do not attempt to reset the ALCI safety device.
The ALCI safety device is equipped with a test button so that its
operation can be checked.
TO USE:
1. Press the Reset button on the ALCI safety device.
2. Plug your ALCI into an AC outlet then press the Test button.
3. The Reset button will pop out. This verifies the safety device is
operating properly. If the Reset button does not pop out, do not
use the unit. Return it immediately for service.
4. Press the Reset button to reactivate the ALCI safety device. Your
hair dryer is ready for use.
Repeat this procedure every time you use the hair dryer to confirm that
the safety device is ready is operational.
SPECIAL ATTENTION
If the unit detects an electrical shock hazard, it will immediately
shut off. To restore power, press the Reset button on the
ESP/ALCI safety device to reactivate the circuit.
This appliance is designed with a protective coating around the
heating coils. When operating the first few times, you may notice
momentary smoking when turning unit off. This represents no
danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in the unit. This
smoke should dissipate within a short time.

Never block the air intake grille, as this will cause the unit to
overheat. Should this happen, a built-in safety system will
operate, and the unit will be shut off automatically. Turn the unit
Off and clear any obstruction from the air intake grille. Wait 10
minutes before operating the appliance has sustained extensive
damage. Do not try to repair it. See warranty for instructions.
Never touch heating section as it may be hot and can burn you.
To avoid possible scalp or hair burns, use very hot and fast
setting only when hair is wet. Reduce to lower heat as hair dries.
Do not keep appliance directed at one place; keep it in constant
motion. This is especially important if drying a wig, which could be
damaged by heat.
For maximum airflow, hold dryer not closer to the head than six
inches.
To extend the life of the dryer, it is recommended to switch it to
the coolest setting for a few seconds before shutting it off.
Untwist the cord from time to time to avoid tangling.
HOW TO USE THIS HAIR DRYER
This hair dryer, specially designed for hotel use, is equipped with a
rocker switch in the handle which prevents its use except when held in

AIR CONCENTRATOR: The air concentrator attaches to the end of
the dryer barrel. It allows airflow to be directed on a small section hair
at a time when hair is styled and shaped with a vent brush or comb. It
can also be used to build body and fullness into fine, thin hair by
directing the airflow against the natural growth pattern of the hair.
Attachment will be hot during use. Allow it to cool before handling.
ION GENERATOR: This dryer is equipped with a built-in ion generator
that automatically generates negative ions when the unit is operating. It
is ideal for overall hair conditioning.

CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance requires permanently lubricated and will not require any
additional lubrication. It contains no user serviceable parts.
CLEANING:
1. Unplug iron and let it cool completely before cleaning.
2. Wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not allow
water or any other liquid get into appliance.
STORAGE:
Unplug appliance and left it cool; store in a clean, dry place.
Do not warp the cord around unit; it could cause the cord to wear
prematurely and break.
Do not put any stress on cord where it enters the handle, as it
could cause cord to fray and possibly break.
Never hang unit by the power cord.
Before returning unit for service: Clean the removable air intake
grille as well as the fixed grille attached to the unit with a small brush or
a vacuum cleaner brush attachment. Then try to operate unit again.
APPLIANCE GUARANTEED FOR 3 YEARS
Faulty connection or any damage resulting from wrongly usage or
which is in contradiction to the instructions in this leaflet will
render the guarantee void.
