1.2 Useaccordingtotheintendedpurpose
Theunitisintendedexclusivelyforuseinindustrialmachines,constructionsandsystems.
Non‐conformingusagedoesnotcorrespondtotheprovisionsandlieswithinthesole
responsibilityoftheuser.Themanufacturerisnotliablefordamageswhichhavearisen
throughunsuitableandimproperuse.Pleasenotethatdevicemayonlybeinstalledin
properformandusedinatechnicallyperfectcondition(inaccordancetotheTechnical
Specifications).Thedeviceisnotsuitableforoperationinexplosion‐proofareasorareas
whichareexcludedbytheEN61010‐1standard.

1.3 Installation
Thedeviceisonlyallowedtobeinstalledandoperatedwithinthepermissible
temperaturerange.Pleaseensureanadequateventilationandavoidalldirectcontact
betweenthedeviceandhotoraggressivegasesandliquids.
Beforeinstallationormaintenance,theunitmustbedisconnectedfromallvoltage‐
sources.Furtheritmustbeensuredthatnodangercanarisebytouchingthedisconnected
voltage‐sources.
DeviceswhicharesuppliedbyAC‐voltagesmustbeconnectedexclusivelybyswitches,
respectivelycircuit‐breakerswiththelowvoltagenetwork.Theswitchorcircuit‐breaker
mustbeplacedasnearaspossibletothedeviceandfurtherindicatedasseparator.
Incomingaswellasoutgoingwiresandwiresforextralowvoltages(ELV)mustbe
separatedfromdangerouselectricalcables(SELVcircuits)byusingadoubleresp.
increasedisolation.
Allselectedwiresandisolationsmustbeconformtotheprovidedvoltage‐and
temperature‐ranges.Furtherallcountry‐andapplication‐specificstandards,whichare
relevantforstructure,formandqualityofthewires,mustbeensured.Indicationsabout
thepermissiblewirecross‐sectionsforwiringaredescribedintheTechnicalSpecifications.
Beforefirststart‐upitmustbeensuredthatallconnectionsandwiresarefirmlyseated
andsecuredinthescrewterminals.All(inclusivelyunused)terminalsmustbefastenedby
turningtherelevantscrewsclockwiseuptothestop.
Overvoltagesattheconnectionsmustbelimitedtovaluesinaccordancetotheovervoltage
categoryII.
Forplacement,wiring,environmentalconditionsaswellasshieldingand
earthing/groundingofthesupplylinesthegeneralstandardsofindustrialautomation
industryandthespecificshieldinginstructionsofthemanufacturerarevalid.Pleasefindall

1.4 Cleaning,MaintenanceandServiceNotes
Tocleanthefrontoftheunitpleaseuseonlyaslightlydamp(notwet!),softcloth.Forthe
rearnocleaningisnecessary.Foranunscheduled,individualcleaningoftherearthe
maintenancestafforassemblerisself‐responsible.
Duringnormaloperationnomaintenanceisnecessary.Incaseofunexpectedproblems,
failuresormalfunctionsthedevicemustbeshippedforbacktothemanufacturerfor
checking,adjustmentandreparation(ifnecessary).Unauthorizedopeningandrepairing
canhavenegativeeffectsorfailurestotheprotection‐measuresoftheunit.
