OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ThisisthesafetyalertsymbolusedfortheOPERATINGINSTRUCTIONSsectionofthismanualtoalertyoutopotential
personal injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death.
TheEngineSlingisdesignedtobeusedwithaportableshopcranetohandleandpositionenginesandotherlargevehicle
components. The drive screw adjusts the sling's lift point in relation to the mounting chains to compensate for off-center loads,
or adjusts to a certain angle for component removal or installation.
1. Attachtheshopcrane'shookorattachmentdevicetotheovallinkatthetopofthesling'sliftingblock.Makesuretheconnection
is secure.
2. Lift only on the areas of the engine or component as specied by the vehicle manufacturer. Make sure that all four chains are
securely fastened to the load.
3. Before lifting make sure that all fuel and electrical lines and components are clear of the load.
4. Lift the load just high enough to locate the center of balance or the desired angle in which the load can be removed. This
adjustment is accomplished by turning the sling's drive screw in a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation.

1. AlwaysstoretheEngineSlinginawellprotectedareawhereitwillnotbeexposedtoinclementweather,corrosivevapors,
abrasivedust,oranyotherharmfulelements.TheEngineSlingmustbecleanedofwater,snow,sand,grit,oil,greaseorother
foreign matter before using.
2. TheEngineSlingmustbelubricatedperiodicallyinordertopreventprematurewearingofparts.Ageneralpurposegreasemustbe
applied to the threads on the screw.
3. EveryEngineSlingownerisresponsibleforkeepingitslabelcleanandreadable.
4. Do not attempt to make any repairs unless you are a qualied repair person that is familiar with this equipment.
Important:AnyEngineSlingfoundtobedefectiveasaresultofwornpartsduetolackoflubricationisnoteligibleforwarranty
consideration.
K-Tool International warrants that all jacks and service-related equipment will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a
period of 2 years following the original date of purchase. This warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser only. If any jack or
service-related item proves to be defective during this period, it will be replaced or repaired, at K-Tool International’s option, without
charge. This warranty does not apply to damage from accident, overload, misuse or abuse, nor does it apply to any equipment which
has been altered or used with special attachments other than those recommended. This warranty does not cover repairs made by
anyonewhoisnotaK-ToolInternationalProfessionalLiftingEquipmentAuthorizedRepairCenter.
AllHDandXDjacksorservice-relatedequipmentwillbereplacedorrepairedatK-ToolInternational’soptionduringthe2yearwarranty
period.
During the 2 year warranty period, all alleged defective products must be shipped, freight prepaid, along with proof of date-of-purchase,
to your nearest K-Tool International Professional Lifting Equipment Authorized Warranty Center. Be certain to include your name,
address and phone number along with proof-of-purchase information, and a brief description of the alleged defect. The product will be
returned to the customer, freight prepaid.
ManyallegeddefectivesmaysimplybehandledbycallingyournearestServiceCenterforparts.Seepages13-15foralistingof
authorized warranty service centers.
In no event shall K-Tool International be liable for incidental or consequential damages. The liability on any claim for loss or damage
arisingoutofthesale,resaleoruseofajackorrelatedserviceequipment,shallinnoeventexceedthepurchaseprice.SOMESTATES
DONOTALLOWTHEEXCLUSIONORLIMITATIONOFINCIDENTALORCONSEQUENTIALDAMAGES,SOTHEABOVELIMITATION
MAYNOTAPPLYTOYOU.
