To optimise the performance of this product, please read these operating instructions carefully to familiarise
yourself with the basic operations of this unit. Please retain them for future reference.This unit has been tested at
the factory before being shipped to you.
To prevent or reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture. To prevent a fire
hazard, do not expose the unit to any naked flame sources. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or if it is
unlikely to be used for long periods of time.
When installing the unit, please ensure you leave enough space around the unit for ventilation. Slots and openings
in the unit are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating.
To prevent fire hazard, the openings should never be blocked or covered.
Always handle the power cable by the plug. Never pull out the plug by pulling on the cable. Never touch the power
cable when your hands are wet as this could cause an electric shock. Do not tie a knot in the cable. The power
cable should be placed such that it is not likely to be stepped on. A damaged power cable can cause a fire or give
you an electrical shock. Checkthe power cord periodicaly, if you ever find that it is damaged, replace it before
using the unit again. Contact your retailer for a replacement.
The voltage of the available power supply differs according to country or region. Be sure that the power supply
voltage of the area where this unit is to be used meets the required written on the unit.
The lightning flash symbol inside a triangle is to alert the user to the presence high voltage within the
unit’s enclosure that may be of sufficient power to constitute a risk of electrical shock to persons.
Caution: to prevent the risk of electric shock, do not attempt to open the unit. No user-serviceable parts
inside. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
The exclamation mark inside a triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating
and maintenance instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.
Select the installation location of your unit carefully. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or locations subject to
vibration and excessive dust. Do not use the unit where there are extremes in temperature (below 41ºF / 5ºC or
exceeding 95ºF / 35ºC).
Unpacking and safety Please unpack your new product carefully. Your new product should reach you in perfect
condition. Please check that no damage has occurred during transit. If any damage is found, do not operate your
unit. Please contact the retailer you purchased it from immediately. If there is any damage to the mains cable do
not use the device. Always disconnect the unit from the mains supply when carrying out any cleaning of the unit.

MENU
Pressing the menu button will scroll through the various menu options available. Keep pressing the menu button
until the desired menu is displayed, then press enter to confirm your selection. Use the up / down buttons to
change the menu or value, press enter to confirm.
Addr
This menu is to set the DMX control starting address. Select Addr using the menu button and press enter to select.
Use the up / down buttons to select the DMX starting address, 001-512 then press enter to confirm your selection.
NOTES - The star cloth has 3 DMX control options; 3 channel, 5 channel, 7 channel DMX control. See DMX chart
for channel functions and CHnd menu function.
Disp
Selecting this option with the menu button allows you to rotate the LED display 180 degrees. Press the menu
button to confirm selection, then use the up/down buttons until “YES” is displayed, press enter to confirm. The
display will now be rotated. This will allow the correct viewing of the display if the control box is mounted upside
down.
NOTE –This changes the display and the order of the control buttons, remember that the control buttons will be
opposite to the functions stated on the screen printing of the unit.

Nanu
Selecting this menu will allow manual control of the RGB LEDs.
Press the menu button until Nanu is displayed, press enter to confirm.
R*** will display, using the up / down buttons will control the brightness of the red LEDs, 000-255.
00 = off, 255 = full brightness. Press enter to confirm
G*** will be displayed using the up / down buttons will control the brightness of the green LEDs, 000-255.
00 = off 255 = full brightness. Press enter to confirm
B*** will be displayed using the up / down buttons will control the brightness of the blue led’s, 000-255
00 = off 255 = full brightness. Press enter to confirm
Colo
This menu allows the user to select one of the 99 colour effects built into the controller. Use the menu button to
select Colo, press enter to confirm. C*** will display. Use the up/down buttons to select the desired program 001-
099. Press enter to confirm.
Fade
The fade menu allows the user to select one of the built in fade programs. This will fade from one colour to
another. Use the menu button to select fade, press enter to confirm. FF** will display. Use the up/down buttons to
select the desired program 01-099. Press enter to confirm
Junp
This menu allows the user to select one of the 99 built in programs that flash between colours. Use the menu
button to select fade, press enter to confirm. ju** will display. Use the up/down buttons to select the desired
program 01-099. Press enter to confirm.
Fl ** will display. This will change the speed of flash of the junp program selected. Use the up/down buttons to
select the desired program 00-04, press enter to confirm.
Flsh
This menu allows the user to select one of the 52 built in flash speeds. This changes the rate of flash speed when
using the Colo function. Use the menu button to select Flsh, press enter to confirm. fl** will display. 00 = no flash,
052 = fast flash. Use the up/down buttons to select the desired program 00-051. Press enter to confirm.
Auto
When selecting the Auto mode it will run through the built in programs automatically. Use the menu button to select
auto, press enter to confirm.
Soun
Sound activated mode. Use the menu button to select soun, press enter to confirm. Sd** will display, 01 =
minimum sensitivity, 030 = maximum sensitivity. Use the the up/down buttons to select the desired sensitivity 01-
030. Press enter to confirm. The programs will now be activated by the beat of the music
Slau
Use the menu button to select slau, press enter to confirm. This puts the unit into slave mode. When connecting
several units together via a DMX cable but NOT using a DMX controller. Use the first unit as a MASTER unit and
select one of the desired programs or functions above, set all other connected units to slave mode and link with a
DMX lead. All connected slave units will follow the master unit.
NOTE - only one unit must be set as a master unit and all others as slaves.
CHnd
This menu allows the user to select how many DMX channels will control the unit. Press the menu button until
CHnd is displayed, then press enter to confirm. 3ch/5ch/7ch will be displayed, use the up/down buttons to select
the desired amount of DMX control channels required. Press enter to confirm. There are options for 3ch, 5ch and
7ch control. See DMX protocol charts for functions of the DMX channel.

DMX
When using an external DMX controller to control the unit, select the required amount of control channels using the
CHnd menu. When using several units with a DMX controller there are 2 options. Controlling several units exactly
the same. Make sure all units are set to be controlled from the same amount of channels (example 7ch, use the
CHND menu). Then set the DMX starting address required on each unit (example 001, use the addr menu). All
units must have the same starting address and all units will operate at the same time, with the same function from
the DMX controller.
Individual control of units
Make sure all units are set to be controlled from the same amount of channels (example 7ch, use the CHND
menu). Each unit will require its own individual DMX starting address. Set the DMX starting address on each unit
(example 001 on the first unit, 008 on the second unit, 16 on the third unit and so on). Ensure each channel is 7
channels apart from the previous one. No DMX channels should cross over (use the addr menu to set DMX
starting address). The value will change depending on the number of control channels selected in the CHnd menu.
