Unpacking and Installations
KUT-NC08 is a product made by KARAK Electronics Co., Ltd based on the experience and
technology accumulated for more than 30 years, and can fully meet your demands.
Before using, please read through this operating manual well in order to fully utilize the function of
this product, and also use the product of KARAK Electronics for a long time with the correct way of
use.
Please be careful not to install the product at following places, as it may cause the trouble.
• Places exposed to direct sunlight, or places close to heating units such as steam, heater, stove
etc.
• Places poorly ventilated, or with much moisture or dust.
Features
• This device is a Network-based Digital Controller for Public Address System, developed by applying
the AoIP Technology which is the cutting-edge digital technology.
• It is used as a main equipment to manage the transmission of Diversified sound source,
Broadcasting control, and Equipment condition etc. at the Network of Public Address System
composed of KARAK Electronics' Network.
• It can be composed as Ring or Tree Network, and the Reliability of Network is guaranteed by Ring
Redundancy.
• Main Information can be checked through the VFD display window.
• It provides 8 Channel for Audio Inputs. (2 Channels for Internal Use)
• Flexible Broadcasting Control and System Check are available as it is equipped with
DiPANOS Program of GUI environment.
• General Ethernet Port supports Auto-MDIX, and there is no need to consider separate Cabling.
• Output condition of each Channel can be checked through the Monitor Speaker.

Operating elements of Front panel
1. USB Terminal
It is a terminal to connect various USB Media.
It is useful in playing the sound source in USB storage media.
2. POWER LED
It shows the Power Supply status. The Light is switched on when the Power Source is
normally authorized.
3. HDD
It shows the status of HDD Access. It brinks at time of HDD Read/Write.
4. RESET
It is a button for RESET of Network Block. Network Block is reset if the button is pressed.
5. DISPLAY
It is a window to show Main Information. Please refer to the "Menu Explanation"
for more detailed explanations.
6. ROTATING SWITCH
It is a Rotating Switch to select Main Information Menu.
You can select the Display Menu by rotating the switch.
7. GUIDE FOR RACK MOUNT
It is a Guide to fix to the Rack in case of Rack Mounting.

Operating elements of Rear panel
1. This is an Input Terminal of Audio Signal of JK-55.
2. This is a Switch to select the Input of MIC/LINE.

3. This is an Ethernet RJ45 Port to be connected with KRNET.
(Used for the composition of Tree Network only.)

5. This is a Power Source Authorization Switch.

6. This is a Terminal through which 24V Power is supplied by Lead Storage Battery
in case of Power Outage.
7. This is a RGB Output Terminal to connect Monitor.
8. This is a USB Port. It is composed of total 4 Channels.

9. This is an Ethernet Port to be connected with the Network where Internet is available.
10. This is a Power Switch of Embedded Controller.
11. This is an IP Setting Switch. KUT-NC normally set this as '03'
12. This is an Input Terminal of AC Power Source.

Setting IP Address
System may not be normally operated if you change it thoughtlessly without understanding
of the site, as IP Address is decided according to the site design.
1. There are 2 IP Setting Switches.
2. This means 1 digit of each hex.
3. Input Range is 0~255.
4. {(1st Switch Number * 16) + 2nd Switch Number} means the 4th Digit Value
of IPv4 IP Address.
5. If you divide the 4th value of required IP Address by 16, the Quotient is the first
Switch Value, and the Remainer is the second Switch Value.
Setting Example)
①Set the IP with “192.168.100.3”.
Quotient of is 0 , and Remainder is 3.
So, first is „0‟, second is „3‟.
②Set the IP with “192.168.100.50”.
Quotient of is 3, and Remainder is 2.
So, first is „3‟, second is „2‟.
③Set the IP with “192.168.100.179”.
Quotient of is 11, and Remainder is 3.
So, first is „B', second is ‟3„.
※Network IP is 192.168.100.xxx basically.
※This is the Number Table corresponding to each number of Rotary Switch.

System Start
1. Connect Keyboard, Mouse, Touch USB.
2. Connect Monitor RGB Cable.
3.ConnectJK-55oftheSourcetoinput,and
settheMIC/LINE.
4. Set the 4th Value of IP with Switch.
*Referto"SettingIPAddress"formoredetails.
5. Connect with KRNET.
*Referto"System Connecting"formoredetails.
6. ConnectwithNetworkwhere Internet
isavailable.

7. Connect the Power Cable and press
the Switch for Power supply.
8. Checkif POWERONLEDislit upnormally.
9. In case POWER LED does not brink
normally, press the POWER S/W
and check the LED again.
10.Check if IP address is normally displayed
as you set.

The Network Controller(KUT-NC08) is warranted to be free from defects in materials and
workmanship in normal use for a period of one(1) year from the date of original purchase.
During that period, as it option, repair or replace materials at no charge. Product must be delivered to
your dealer or an authorized service center at freight prepaid with the original sales receipt or other
proof purchase.
Warranty excludes finish, normal wear and tear, failure due to abuse or operation outside the specified
ratings.
Warranty applies to original purchaser only.
Warranty gives you specific rights which vary from state to state. For more Information regarding
warranty or service please contact to your dealer.
