installation
location
When selecting a position for your unit you should make sure the floor is flat and firm, and the
room is well ventilated with an average room temperature of between 10"C and 43"C. Avoid
locating your unit near a heat source, e.g. cooker, boiler or radiator. Also avoid direct sunlight
as it may increase the electrical consumption. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also
cause the unit not to perform properly. This unit is not designed for use in a garage or outdoor
installation. Do not drape the unit with any covering.
levelling the unit
Adjust the two levelling feet at the front of the unit.
lf the unit is not level, the doors and magnetic seal
alignments will not be covered properly.
free space requirements
When installing the unit, ensure that 25 mm of
free space is left at both sides, 50 mm at the
rear of the unit and 25 mm at the top of the
unit. Please ensure there is more than twice
the width and depth distance space of the unit
to fully open the doors to a maximum angle.

installing the water filter
' choose a wall area with distance that is near the water tap and the unit.
' Do not install the water filter behind the unit, but should install it in an area that is convenient
for it to be replaced.
' To operate properly, connect the unit to the water mains with water pressure of 207-6gg
Mpa.
ADo not install the water filter on the unit body
once the area to install the water filter is determined, follow the steps below:
1' Screw the filter holders on the wall. Make sure the distance between the
filter holders is suitable to hold the water filter in place. The water filter
should be positioned vertically.

2' Measure the distance between the water filter and the water tap, and also the distance
between the water filter and the fridge. cut the water hose into 2 water hoses accordingly to
the measured distances.

installation
Remove the 2 clips from the water filter then pull out the 2 stoppers.
Fully insert the water hoses into the water-in and water-out ends of the
filter. Then re-attach the 2 clips, making sure each clip locks the water
hose firmly

3. To connect to the water tap, screw the adaptor to the
water tap outlet. Then connect the water.hose that is
connected to the water-in end of the water filter.
4. Open the water tap to flush the new water filter. ln
case the water colour is darkish, it is normal for first
use. Continue flushing until the water colour becomes
normal.
5. After the water colour becomes normal, connect to
the unit. Attach the one end of the adaptor to the
unit's water hose, then connect the wat6r hose that is
connected to the water-out end of the water filter into the other end of the adaptor,
It is important to connect the water hoses correctly to the water-in and water-out end
of the water filter.
6. After installation is completed, dispense several glasses of water before use.
A . Do not bend the water hoses.
. Do not put heavy things on top of the water hoses.
. After installation is completed, turn on the water tap. Check and make sure there is no
leakage in every connection points.
cleaning before use
Wipe the inside of the unit with a weak solution of bicarbonate soda. Then rinse with warm water
using a sponge or cloth. Wipe completely dry before replacing the drawers. Clean the exterior of
the unit with a damP cloth.

Connect the mains cable to the mains socket. The internal temperature of your unit is controlled by
an electronic control panel on the door. Before changing any setting, ensure the lock $ is OisaOteO

When using the unit for ths firsl time or affer an extended period of time:
. dispense several glasses of water to flush the lines before use
. discard the ice that the ice maker has produced for approximately one day

' To get water, press the wator button. lf you want icy cold water, dispense ice to your glass first
then dispense water.

. The first batch of ice cubes after first installation may be small. This is nortnal.
. lf you select Cubed ice after using the Crushed ice feature, a small amount of residual
crushed ice might be dispensed to your glass. This is normal.
. Place the glass close to and in line with the dispenser outlel to prevent the crushed ice
scattering or the water spilling.
. Do not immediately remove your glass from the dispenser. Wait for a while to prevent
spills.
. Do not pull the dispenser lever.
. Do not allow children to hang on the dispenser. This could cause injury
turning the ice maker on/off
lf you do not need the ice mal(er to produce ice, press the lce Off button. E will illuminate. This
can save water and energy consumption, and also prevent too much ice clumping in the ice
bucket. The ice maker will be locked.
To unlock the ice maker, press the lce Off button again E will extinguish

lf you will be away for a period of time, close the water tap as well as turn off the ice

When the ice maker dumps ice into the ice bucket, any sound you hear is part of normal
operation.

You may notice thal your unit makes some unusual noisos. Most of these are perfectly normal, but
you should be aware of them!
These noises are caused by the circulation of the refrigerant liquid in the cooling system. lt has
become more pronounced iince the introduction of CFC free gases. This is not a fault and will
not affect the performance of your unit. This is lhe compressor motor working, as it pumps the
refrigerant around the system.
tips for keeping food in the unit

preparations for freezi ng
Use quality food and handle it as liftle as possible. Freeze food in small quantities as it freezes
faster, takes less time to defrost and enables you to control the quantity you need better.
Leave cooked food to cool completely. Chill food before freezing if possible.
Consider how you will want to cook the food before freezing it.
Don't freeze food in metal containers if you may want to microwave it straight from the freezer.
Use special lreezer bags, freezer film, polythene bags, plastic containers, and aluminium foil
(heavy duty grade only). lf in doubt, double wrap your food. Don't use aluminium foil for acidic
foods, e.g. citrus fruits. Don't use thin cling film, glass, or used food containers without cleaning
Exclude as much air from the container as possible. You could buy a special vacuum pump
which sucks excessive air out of the packaging.
Leave a small amount of air space when freezing liquids to allow expansion.
You can use the space in the freezer most efficiently if you freeze liquids (or
solids with liquids, e.g. stew) in square blocks. This is known as "Preforming".
Pour the liquid into a polythene bag which is inside a square sided container.
Freeze it, and then remove it from the container and seal the bag.
Label your frozen foods as they will look the same when in frozen state. Use
special lreezer tapes, labels and pens with different colours. This allows you to
easily organise and to effectively use the freezer. Write the contents and date;
otherwise the frozen food might exceed the storage time and this could cause
food poisoning. Please refer to your food packaging for the recommended storage time.
You may also add the weight and cooking notes, e.g. "defrost first", "cook from frozen" and keep
a separate log of what is in each drawer. This will save opening the door and searching around
unnecessarily.
defrosting frozen food
1. Take the frozen food out from the unit and uncover the frozen food. Let it defrost at room
temperature. Don't forget that defrosting in a warm area encourages the groMh of bacteria and
low temperature cooking may not destroy dangerous bacteria.
2. Drain off and throw away any liquid lost during defrosting.
3. Always make sure there are no ice-crystals in the food before cooking, particularly with meat.
These crystals indicate that the food has not fully defrosted.
4. Cook food as soon as possible after defrosting.
5. Many microwaves and ovens have a defrost setting. To avoid bacterial build up, only use these if
you intend to cook the food immediately afterwards.
ANever re-freeze anything that has been defrosted unless you cook it again, to kill off harmful
bacteria. Never re-freeze defrosted shellfish. Re-seal packs properly after removing items.
This prevents drying or freezer-burn and a build up of frost on any remaining food.

Remove all the shelves and drawers.
Wipe the inside of the unit with a weak solution of bicarbonate soda and then rinse with warm
water using a sponge or cloth. Wipe completely dry before replacing the shelves and drawers.
Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior, and then wipe with a standard furniture polish. Make sure
that the doors are closed to avoid the polish getting on the magnetic door seal or inside the unit.
The grille of the condenser at the back of the unit and the adjacent components can be
vacuumed using a soft brush aftachment.
cleaning the ice bucket
lce may clump in the ice bucket if they are not dispensed for a period of time. lf this occurs, remove
all the ice and clean the ice bucket. lce may also not come out through the dispenser if they get
stuck in the chute. lf this occurs, clean the ice bucket and the chute.
Wash the ice bucket and the chute with a mild detergent, rinse well and dry thoroughly. Do not use
harsh or abrasive cleaners or solvents.
. To remove the ice bucket, lift it up then pull out slowly
. To re-install the ice bucket:
1. Make sure the ice bucket coupler and motor coupler are at a suitable
angle to connect correctly. lf not, turn the ice bucket coupler to the
right angle to match with the motor coupler.

ice bucket is held firmly by the bracket'

changing the internal LED light
The internal light is an LED panel that cannot be changed by the user. Please contact a qualified
service agent.
changing the water filter
You should change the water filter every 6 months or when the finer icon tp starts blinking. After
replacing the water lilter, press and hold the Filter Reset button for 3 seconds to reset the filter.
care when handling / moving your unit
Hold the unit around its sides or base when moving it. Under no circumstances should it ba lifted by
holding the edges of the top surface.

switching off for long periods of time
When the unit is not in use for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains supply, empty all
food and clean lhe appliance, leaving the door ajar lo prevent unpleasant smells.

Condensation may appear on the outside of the unit. This may be due to a change in room
temperature. Wipe off any moisture residue. lf the problem continues, please conlact a qualified
technician for assistance.
disposal
old units still have some residual value. An environmentally friendly method of disposal will ensure
that valuable raw materiars can be remvered and used again. The refrigerant used in your unit and
insulation materials require special disposal procedures. Ensure that no-ne of the pipei on the back
of the unit are damaged prior to disposal.
