The surround system reproduces video software program carrying the ([](pasv sean] mark with similar acoustic effects to
movie theaters.
The DOLBY PRO LOGIC mode controls the audio signals of the Front Left/Right, Center and Rear surround channels using the
built-in directivity enhancer circuit ta reproduce the feeling of sound motions realistically.
The DOLBY 3 STEREO mode can reproduce the motions of sound even when only the front and center speakers are used, by
providing proper acoustic position using the directivity enhancer circuit.
THEATER LOGIC
This mode adds presence sound components to the signals output from the directivity enhancer (Left, Center, Right and
Surround channels}, allowing movie software programs to be played with a similar feeling of presence to movie theaters ina
listening room at home.

Cannecting system control cords after connecting a KENWOOD audio component system lets you take advantage of convenient
system control operations.
There are two KENWOOD system control modes. Make connections according to the groups of terminal symbols shown below.
XSE Mode: tets you combine XS), XT, and: XSE terminats
(SLIB) Mode: for (SLIB) terminals only
This unit is anly compatible with the [XS8] mode and cannot be cannected in the [SL16} mode. ;

ABOUT THE SYSTEM CONTROL OPERATIONS
Remote Control
Lets you operate source components with the system re-
mote supplied with this unit. i
Automatic Operation (Except [XR] equipment)
When this unit is connected to KENWOOD system compo-
nents such as a cassette deck and CD player through system
control cords and the input source is selected with the IN-
PUT SELECTOR, the selected component starts to play auto-
matically. Inversely, playing a component automatically
selects that source as the input to this unit. The automatic
operation atso occurs when the provided remote control is
used. (Except for TAPE 2 and video components}
Synchronized Recording (Except [XR] equipment)
Lets you synchronize recording with the start of playback
‘when recording from CD, MD, LD, or anaiog discs. connected to the TAPE 2 (MONI) jacks.
