* After removing the case, perform disassembly for repair as follows.
1) Removing the front panel

2. Remove the nine screws (@).
3. Remove the front panel in the direction of arrow.

. Disconnect the control cable from CN901 and CN902
. Remove the two screws (@), then remove the PCB
. Remove the two screws, then remove the lead plate (@).

Remove the two knobs (@), and two screws (@).
Note: When checking the electrical operation, connect
the ground of front panel side with the ground of
main side.
Disconnect the head lead from CN301 and CN302 of
PCB-REC/PLAYBACK (@), then cut the wire band.

Remove the two hooks while moving the main chassis
in the direction of arrow (GJ), then remove the rear panel
in the direction of arrow (@).
5) Removing the repairing chassis
1. Cut the four parts (@) of the repairing chassis. (®)

turn
the
repairing
chassis

degree,
then lock to the main chassis by two screws (M3 x8).

2-1. Initial state setting
The initial state is set in the following cases:
1) When the backup memory is erased.
2) When the AC plug is inserted into the wall outlet while
holding down the selector TUNER key.
2-2. Test frequency in initial state
The frequency preset for each channel in the initial state is as
shown in the table.

PHONO

pressed

the
indicators
and
power
on.
The
volume
control
motor
drive
test
can
be
per-
formed
in
the
test
mode
with
the
selector
TAPE
B
key.
The
volume
is
increased
when
this
key
is
pressed
with
the
VOLUME
knob
at
minimum.
The
volume
is
decreased
after
about
14
seconds,
then
the
key
is
set
to
off
after
about
14
seconds.
