Warning

The user needs to refer to the important operang

1. Read the user manual carefully before aempng
to install the camera and keep the manual for future

3. Always keep the glass lens clean to obtain the best
picture quality. Clean only with dry cloth.
4. Do not install near water or heat sources such as
radiators or other apparatus that produce heat.
5. Do not install the camera in places with high humidity.
6. Do not install the camera in places highly exposed to
gas or oil.
7. Do not install the camera in places enclosed by metal.
This may shield the electromagnec waves and cause

10. Do not service the camera by yourself. Refer all
servicing to authorized personnel.

Set Up Your Camera Wirelessly Through Your Mobile Devices
To connect the IP camera to the WiFi network, perform the following:
IMPORTANT!
• Make sure the IP camera is powered on.
• Make sure your smartphone/tablet uses WiFi connecon, not mobile data network.
1. Scan the QR code on the IP camera with your smartphone/tablet. You will be directed to KViewLink app
download site.
2. Download and open the KViewLink app in your smartphone/tablet.
3. Tap to add a new IP camera.
4. Tap Skip to skip the introducon and access the connecon page.
5. Tap Smart WiFi.

6. When you hear the ding-dong sound form the IP camera, scan the QR code on the IP camera.

7. Enter the name for the IP camera and tap Connue.
8. Enter the password of the WiFi router and tap OK.
IMPORTANT! Your smartphone/tablet and IP camera must be connected to the same WiFi router.
Wait unl the conguraon is done. When you see the Live view, this indicates the setup is complete.

Congure the IP Camera Using the KViewLink App
To congure the IP camera sengs on KViewLink app, tap next to the IP camera you
want to set up. Then select Advanced Sengs and perform the necessary conguraons.
Congure the IP Camera Using the Web Client
Most funcons of IP camera can be congured through “Advanced Sengs” on KViewLink app. But there are some
funcon sengs, such as DST, image control, DDNS, footage downloading, IP Filter, and etc, are not available on the
KViewLink app. These sengs must be set on the Web Client. Prior accessing the IP camera’s Web Client through your
notebook, make sure the IP camera is connected to the WiFi network and your notebook is connected to the same
WiFi router as your IP camera.

NOTE:
• For more informaon on connecng the IP camera to the WiFi network, please follow the the instrucons wrien in
supplied Quick Guide.
To access the Web Client, perform the following:
1. Download and install the DeviceSearch soware to your notebook.
NOTE: The DeviceSearch soware is available at hp://kguardsecurity.server289.com/kguard/
KguardWEBSite/Ulity/IPcam/PLM00/.
2. Double-click the icon to open the remote tool.
3. The program lists the IP camera by IP address. Click on the IP camera IP address eld to open the IP camera
Web Client on your notebook default web browser.
NOTE: If you need to alter the connecon parameters, do the modicaons rst and then click Modify to
save the sengs.
Log In
1. Enter the user name and password.
2. Click Login to sign in.
NOTE: The default user name and password are “admin”and “123456”.

Live Screen
Aer you login to Web Client, the Live screen opens. On Live screen, you will see the live view from the IP camera,
access the Quick menu and funcons on the Task bar, select a screen mode, and congure local and remote sengs.

To access the common funcons, click the respecve icon shown on the task bar.
• Click to zoom in an area on the video.
• Click to start recording manually. The video recording starts and the icon changes from to . Click the
icon again to stop the manual recording. A dialog box appears on the screen.
The recording is saved to the default locaon in your notebook. To change the video saving locaon, refer to “Local
Sengs” on page 28. To open the recording folder, click “Open”.
• Click to capture a snapshot. A dialog box appears on the screen.

The snapshot is saved to the default locaon in your notebook. To view the snapshot, click “PreView”. To change the
snapshot saving locaon, refer to “Local Sengs” on page 28. To open the snapshot folder, click “Open”.
• Click to mute audio.
• Click to acvate microphone and send your voice to the IP camera.
NOTE: You can talk between the PC and IP camera if an audio device is connected.
Screen Mode
Select the streaming mode between MainStream, SubStream, and MobileStream for the remote live view on
notebook. Modicaons to the streaming mode do not aect the recorded video. You can also choose to display the
remote view in Portrait mode or Full Screen mode.

NOTE: Streaming mode sengs depend on the streaming parameters set in “Video Streaming” on page 19.
Quick Menu
To congure the IP camera breathing, adjust the color sengs, and start using Cruise mode, click the respecve icon
shown in the Quick menu.
• Click to disable the IP camera breathing eect. Click to enable IP camera breathing eect.
• Click to adjust the color sengs of the video.
- Hue ( ): Adjust the red and green balance of the video.
- Brightness ( ): Adjust the brightness level of the video.
- Contrast ( ): Adjust the level of dierence between the lightest and darkest
parts of the video.
- Saturaon ( ): Set the color intensity of the video.
- Sharpness ( ): Adjust the sharpness of the video.
NOTE: Click Default to reset all color sengs to the default values.

• Click to set preset points and use Cruise mode.
To add a preset point, perform the following:
1. Click the direcon arrows on the pointer pan to move the camera to the
desired direcon. 1

Control the video playback using the following buons:
• Click to playback video or to pause playback.

Task Bar
To access the common funcons of the playback, click the respecve icon shown on the task bar.
• Click to switch playback to full screen mode or click to switch playback to portrait mode.
• Click to back up a fracon of the video. To trim video, perform the following:
a) During the video playback, click on the Time Bar to mark the beginning of the video footage you wish to backup.
b) Click to start selecng the footage. The icon changes from to .
c) Click on the Time Bar to mark the end of the video footage you wish to backup.
d) Click to save the footage. A dialog box appears on the screen.
The footage is saved to the default locaon in your notebook. To change the video saving locaon, refer to “Local
Sengs” on page 28. To open the recording folder, click “Open”.
• Click to capture a snapshot.
• Click to download recording(s). Check the recording(s) you want to download and click Start download.
• Click to zoom in an area on the video.

Remote Sengs
Click Remote Sengs to congure IP camera sengs, such as video recording, network, storage, and etc.

• Click Default to restore the default values to the current menu items.
Display Menu
Select this menu opon to congure the display sengs.
Live
Congure Live display sengs.
Name: Enter the IP camera
name.
Channel Display: Enable or
disable displaying IP camera
name on the Live screen.
Time Display: Enable or
disable displaying current me
on the Live screen.
Flicker Control: Set IP camera
mode depending on your
geographical locaon.
NOTE: 50Hz corresponds to
PAL mode and 60Hz to NTSC
mode.
Transparency: Set the menu transparency level from 1 to 128.

Congure the image control sengs.
IR-CUT: Select the desired
built-in lter switch-over mode
to ensure the IP camera works
properly both in the daylight
and night.
IR-CUT Delay: Set the IR-CUT
switching me delay.
Flip/Mirror: Click the
respecve checkbox to ip or
mirror the video image.
Back Light: Enable to compensate the darkness of the subject when shoong against bright light sources. For
example, sunlight.
3D Noise Reducon: Enable to digitally minimize video noise and extend the storage.
Level: Set the 3D noise reducon level.
WDR (Wide Dynamic Range): Enable to allow automacally adjust the brightness and contrast of the video when
shoong in the darkness with bright light sources.
AGC (Automac Gain Control): Congure when shoong in changing lightning environments. The video image is
brightened in dark areas.
White Balance: Select the white balance level between Auto (automac adjustment), Manual (manual adjustment of
red and blue gain), or indoor (opmized according to the indoor environment).
Shuer: Set the shuer mode.
Time Exposure: Select the exposure me of the IP camera.

Privacy Zone
Set the privacy zone on the video.
Privacy Zone: Click the
checkbox to enable selecng a
privacy zone.
Drag the cursor over the
desired area where you want
the privacy zone to appear. The
marked area is then lled with
maroon color, indicang the
zone locaon.
To delete, click on the privacy
area and then click Delete.
NOTE: The privacy zone is not visible on Live view as well as in the video le.
Record Menu
Select this menu opon to congure the recording sengs.
Rec Parameters
Congure the recording parameters.
Record: Enable or disable the
video recording.
Pack Duraon: Set the me
interval how long video
material you want to save to
one video le.
Stream Type: Set the recording resoluon. The available opons include Main Stream (higher resoluon) and Sub
Stream (lower resoluon). To modify the streaming parameters, refer to “Video Streaming” on page 19.
Audio: Enable or disable the audio recording.
NOTE: Audio recording can only be enabled if Audio is enabled for the streaming mode. Refer to “Video Streaming”
on page 19.

Record Schedule
Set the recording schedule.
Week: Select a day of the week
when you want to set the
recording schedule.
Normal (green): Indicates
connuous recording.
Moon (yellow): Indicates
moon based recording.
Sensor (sensor): Indicates
wireless alarm sensor triggered
recording.
No Record: Indicates there
is no recording set for the
selected me slot(s).
Copy: Select the schedule of a day that you want to copy to another day (or All days). Then click Copy.
To set the recording schedule, drag the cursor over the upper (Normal), middle (Moon), or lower (Sensor) me
slot(s). In the example schedule, normal recording takes place from 12:00PM unl 21:30PM. Moon and sensor
based recording takes place from 21:30PM unl 12AM.
The recording begins when the system day and me matches with the set day and me in the schedule.
To delete a recording for the me slot, drag again the cursor over the desired me slot(s).
Record Snapshot
IMPORTANT! This feature is not supported with PLM00 IP camera.
Congure the snapshot capturing sengs.
Snapshot: Enable or disable
capturing snapshots.
Interval: Set the snapshot
capturing interval.
Snapshot Type: Set the snapshot capturing resoluon. The available opons include MainStream, SubStream, and
MobileStream.
NOTE: Streaming mode sengs depend on the streaming mode parameters in “Video Streaming” on page 19.

Network Menu
Select this menu opon to congure the network sengs.
Network Seng
Set the network parameters depending on your network type. The available opons include DHCP (automacally
obtaining parameters), PPPoE (requires user name and password), or stac (manual network conguraon).
If you are not sure in your network type or sengs, please contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
DHCP: This is the network type when a device on your network (usually a router)
assigns automacally all the network parameters for your camera.
PPPoE: You need an authencaon user name and password to the Internet. This
network protocol allows the device to be directly connected using a DSL modem.
Stac: Requires all the network parameters to be lled in manually.
Type: Select the network type
that you are using.
Client Port: Enter the port that
the IP camera will use to send
informaon through. If the
default port 9000 is already
taken by other applicaons,
please change it.
HTTP Port: Enter the connecon
port for the Web Client. If the
default port 80 is already taken
by other applicaons, please
change it.
Mobile Port: The default
value. No need to modify this
parameter.
IP Address: Enter the IP address
of the IP camera (for Stac type
network only).
Subnet Mask: Enter the subnet
address of the IP camera (for
Stac type network only).
Gateway: Enter the gateway
address for the IP camera (for
Stac type network only).
User Name/Password: Enter
the login credenals PPPoE
network connecon.
DNS1/DNS2: Enter the primary
and secondary (oponal) DNS
server address.
UPNP: Enable this funcon if
you need to connect to the IP
camera remotely through the
router using port forwarding.
NOTE: If your router does not
support UPnP, make sure the
port forwarding is completed
manually. Please see the
customized free guide on hp://
pororward.com/kguard.

WiSet
Set the default Wi network connecon sengs.
Wi: Enable or disable
connecng the IP camera to the
Wi network.
SSID: Enter the SSID of the
default Wi network manually
or double-click the desired SSID
shown in the table.
Pass Phrase: Enter a password for security-enabled Wi network.
Video Streaming
Congure the video streaming parameters.
NOTE: You can set a dierent streaming mode for live view and video recording.
MainStream:
SubStream:
Resoluon: Select the size of
the recorded video. The higher
the resoluon, the larger the
le size.
FPS: Set the number of frames
per second the IP camera will
record.
Audio: Enable or disable audio.
I Frame Interval: Set the
video compression interval
when transming the video
over Internet. The shorter the
interval, the beer the image
quality.
Bitrate Control: Select the
bitrate level and speed based
on the complexity of the scene.
For a simple scene, such as a
gray wall is suitable constant
bitrate (CBR) with lower speed.
For more complex scene, such
as a busy street is suitable
variable bitrate (VBR) with
higher speed.
MobileStream: Quality: If you want to set the
bitrate by yourself, then select
User_Dened mode and set
the bitrate. For a preset bitrate
(2048), select Pre_Dened
mode.

Email
Congure the email sengs.
Email: Enable or disable email
funcon.
SSL: Enable if your email server
requires SSL vericaon. If you
are not sure, please consult
your email service provider. For
example, if you are using Gmail
then this opon should be
enabled.
SMTP Port: Enter the SMTP port of your email server. For example, if you are using Gmail, the SMTP port is 465.
SMTP Server: Enter the SMTP server address of your email.
Sender: Enter your email address.
Sender Password: Enter the password of your email.
Receiver 1/Receiver 2/Receiver 3: Enter the email address(es) where you want to receive the event nocaons
from the IP camera.
Interval: Congure the length of the me interval between the nocaon emails from the IP camera.
DDNS
Congure the DDNS sengs. DDNS provides a stac address to simplify remote connecon to your IP camera. To
use DDNS, you need to open an account on the DDNS service provider’s web page. For example, KGUARD.ORG:
hp://www.kguard.org.
DDNS: Enable or disable DDNS
funcon.
Server: Select the preferred
DDNS server.
Host Name: Enter the host
name address. This will be the
address you type in the URL
box when you want to connect
remotely to the IP camera.
User Name/Password: Enter the user name and password you obtained when creang an account on the DDNS
service provider’s web page. For example, user name for KGUARD.ORG users is the email address you used when
creang the account on KGUARD.ORG web page.
Aer all parameters are entered, click Test DDNS to test DDNS sengs.
