Overview
UMG Modular 300 is an user media gateway of the Khomp gateway lineup. This intermediate device is able to
translate the telephony signaling protocols E1 (ISDN and R2) and SIP while supporting the GSM, FXS and FXO technologies,
thus interconnecting the digital, analogical, mobile and IP networks to the telephony and communication unified platforms,
based on SIP.
Developed to be used in small-sized scenarios in the expansion process, with high-performance assurance, this
modular equipment makes available 46 channels, divided in 3 slots in order to combine the interfaces which are more
convenient to the model of business in which it will be applied. Moreover, its has a size that makes it easy to install as well as
an user friendly web interface for its configuration and monitoring
With a robust architecture based on DSP dedicated to handling telephony critical tasks, as well as features for
signaling and cancelling echoes, resulting in high quality audio, the UMG Modular 300 can be seen as an extremely effective
gateway. It also features transcoding support in all channels as well as support to the main signaling and CODEC system in the
industry, in addition to providing call control and routing, according to the programmed rules.
