Bedienungsanleitung kiddyfix
1. Eignung
Wir freuen uns, dass Sie sich bei der Wahl eines Kinderrückhaltesystems für
die ISOFIX-Plattform kiddyfix (A) in Verbindung mit einem kiddy Kindersitz
entschieden haben.
Der kiddyfix (A) ist ein Sicherheitsprodukt und darf nur in Fahrzeugen mit
ISOFIX-Verankerungen und in Verbindung mit dem entsprechenden
Kindersitz benutzt werden.
Richten Sie sich bei der Verwendung im Fahrzeug nach den
Empfehlungen des Benutzerhandbuches des Fahrzeuges.
Der kiddyfix (A) ist in Kombination mit dem kiddy Kindersitz entsprechend
der aktuellsten Version der Zulassungsnorm ECE-R44/04 geprüft und zuge-
lassen worden. Das System erhielt die Bauartgenehmigung der Klasse
„semiuniversal“.
Aus der beiliegenden Fahrzeugtypenliste können Sie entnehmen, in welchen
Fahrzeugen und auf welchem Sitzplatz der kiddyfix (A) benutzt werden kann.
Achten Sie hierbei darauf, dass die Fahrzeugtypenliste ständig erweitert und
aktualisiert wird. Bei Fragen steht Ihnen Ihr Fachhändler zur Verfügung. Die
aktuelle Typenliste können Sie ebenfalls unter

Lesen Sie unbedingt die Bedienungsanleitung des kiddyfix (A)und
des kiddy Kindersitzes und befolgen Sie alle Warnungen und
Weisungen.
Bewahren Sie beide Bedienungsanleitung Ihres kiddyfix und des
Kindersitzes immer im Bedienungsanleitungsfach an dem entspre-
chenden Kindersitz auf. Sie ist dann bei eventuellen Fragen immer
vor Ort.

2. Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
Benutzen Sie auschließlich vom Hersteller zugelassene kiddy
Kindersitze und Originalzubehörteile und nehmen Sie keine
Veränderungen am Produkt vor!
Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall immer mit dem Fachhändler, dem
Importeur oder dem Hersteller in Verbindung.
Prüfen Sie vor der Erstmontage im Fahrzeug immer
die Fahrzeugtypenliste und das Handbuch Ihres
Fahrzeuges bzw. kontaktieren Sie Ihre
Vertragswerkstatt.
Der kiddyfix (A) ist ein Sicherheitsprodukt und gewährleistet die
Sicherheit dann, wenn er entsprechend den Vorschriften benutzt
wird.
Überprüfen Sie vor jeder Fahrt, ob die ISOFIX-Konnektoren (A) mit
dem Fahrzeug verbunden und das Stützbein/-fuß (F/G) entspre-
chend eingestellt sind. Überprüfen Sie ebenfalls die Verrastung des
Kindersitzes auf Ihrem kiddyfix (A).
3. Vor der ersten Benutzung
Ihr kiddyfix (A) ist ein Kindersicherheitsprodukt, welches über eine Elektronik
verfügt, die die Benutzung sehr einfach macht.
Die Verriegelungen werden bei korrekter Verrastung durch akustische
Signale sowie optische Anzeigen bestätigt.
Das Entnehmen der kiddy Babyschale ist ebenfalls sehr komfortabel. Nach
dem Entriegeln per Knopfdruck kann die Babyschale einhändig abgenom-
men werden.
Selbstverständlich sind alle Funktionen auch manuell handhabbar. Wenn Ihr
kiddyfix (A) ohne Batterien benutzt wird oder dieselben sich entleert haben,
bleibt die Sicherheit Ihres Kindes immer noch gewährleistet.

Nur bei ausgeklappten Stützbein (F) ist der Stromkreislauf geschlossen und
die elektronischen Funktionen arbeiten.
3.1 Einlegen / Austauschen der Batterien
Öffnen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel (D) indem Sie ihn nach oben hin aufklap-
pen (Abb. 1).
Nun müssen Sie den Batteriehalter entfernen, indem Sie die Öffnungslasche
nach hinten drücken und den Halter vorn herausheben.
Schieben Sie nun den Batteriehalter nach hinten und nehmen Sie Ihn ab
(Abb. 2).
Sie benötigen 8 hochwertige AAA Batterien um Ihren kiddyfix (A) in Betrieb
zu nehmen.
Legen Sie die Batterien in die 8 Fächer ein.
Achten Sie auf die korrekte Polung. Die Markierungen unten im Fach zeigen
Ihnen wie die Batterien eingelegt werden müssen (Abb. 3).
Legen Sie nun den Batteriehalter über die Batterien wieder ein. Schließen
Sie den Batteriefachdeckel (D).
Bewahren Sie Batterien außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf.
Setzen Sie das Produkt oder die Batterien keinesfalls Feuer aus.
Verwenden Sie keine alten Batterien oder Batterien die Leckagen
oder Risse aufweisen. Leere Batterien können überall im
Fachhandel, wo Batterien erhältlich sind, kostenfrei entsorgt werden.

4. Montage im Fahrzeug
Kontrollieren Sie vor dem Einbau, ob Ihr Fahrzeug mit
ISOFIX-Verankerungen (Metallhalterungen zwischen
Sitz und Rückenlehne) ausgestattet ist und prüfen Sie
die Fahrzeugtypenliste und das Fahrzeughandbuch!
Verwenden Sie niemals eine andere als in diesem Handbuch oder
auf dem Produktaufkleber beschriebene Befestigung!
4.1 Montageschritte
Vor der Montage im Fahrzeug muss das Stützbein (F) herausgeklappt wer-
den.
Ziehen Sie hierzu am gelben Stützfußgriff (I) an der Vorderseite (Abb. 4;
Ziff. 1), schieben Sie den Stützfuß (G) ein wenig nach innen und klappen
das Stützbein (F) heraus (Abb. 4; Ziff. 2).
Damit ist der Stromkreis für die elektrische Entriegelung und die akustischen
Signale geschlossen. Ihr kiddyfix ist jetzt automatisch eingeschaltet.
Überprüfen Sie nun durch Drücken der beiden gelben ISOFIX Entrastknöpfe
(E) am Stützbein (F) oben seitlich, ob das Verankerungssystem Ihres
kiddyfix geöffnet ist (Abb. 5).
Stecken Sie beide Führungstrichter (M) auf die Halterungen zwischen Sitz
und Lehne des Fahrzeugsitzes (Abb. 6).
Schieben Sie nun die gelben Konnektoren (L) auf die Metallhalterungen und
drücken Sie fest dagegen.
Die korrekte Verrastung wird Ihnen durch ein akustisches Signal sowie die
grüne ISOFIX Anzeige (E) bestätigt (Abb. 7).
Überprüfen Sie durch Ziehen, ob beide Konnektoren (L) sicher verrastet
sind.

Als abschließender Schritt der Montage muss der Stützfuß (G) eingestellt
werden.
Betätigen (1) Sie hierfür den gelben Stützfußgriff (I) und ziehen Sie den
Stützfuß (G) soweit heraus, bis er fest auf dem Fahrzeugboden steht und
beide Stützfußanzeigen (H) grün anzeigen (Abb. 8).
Heben Sie die Plattfrom ggf. leicht nach oben an.
Kontrollieren Sie die korrekte Verrastung der Mechanik, indem Sie, ohne den
Stützfußgriff (I) zu betätigen, versuchen, den Stützfuß (G) einzufahren.
Wenn sich der Stützfuß (G) nicht mehr bewegt, ist er korrekt verrastet.
Ihr kiddyfix muss immer mit ausgeklapptem und korrekt eingestelltem
Stützfuß (G) benutzt werden!
Nun können Sie Ihren kiddy-Kindersitz entsprechend dessen
Bedienungsanleitung auf Ihrem kiddyfix (A) montieren.
Überprüfen Sie vor jeder Fahrt, ob alle Systeme korrekt verrastet bzw.
eingestellt sind.
5. Demontage
Nehmen Sie als erstes den kiddy-Kindersitz entsprechend dessen
Bedienungsanleitung von der kiddyfix Plattform (A) ab.
Nun können Sie mit dem Ausbau der Plattform (A) beginnen.
Halten Sie beide ISOFIX-Entrastknöpfe (E) gedrückt und ziehen Sie gleich-
zeitig die Plattform (A) von den Halterungen nach vorn herunter (Abb. 9).
etzt können Sie den Stützfuß (G) einfahren und das Stützbein (F) unter die
Plattform (A) klappen. Wenn Sie den Stützfuß (G) nun herausziehen
(Abb. 10), bleibt er unter der Plattform (A) verankert.

Wenn das Stützbein (F) eingeklappt ist, ist der Stromkreislauf unterbrochen.
Die Elektronik schaltet automatisch aus.
Als letzten Schritt ziehen Sie die Führungstricher (M) von den
Metallverankerungen herunter.
6. Einstellung des Schlittens
Der Schlitten (C) oben auf der Plattform (A) ist nach vorn und hinten ver-
schiebbar. Nach hinten lässt sich der Schlitten (C) frei verschieben, wenn ein
kiddy Kindersitz auf der Plattform montiert ist.
Falls Sie den Schlitten (C) nach vorn bewegen möchten, müssen Sie die bei-
den seitlichen Schlittenhebel (K) nach oben ziehen (Abb. 11; Ziff. 1) und den
Schlitten (C) gleichzeitig nach vorn bewegen (Abb. 11; Ziff. 2).
7. Was tun bei Funktionsstörungen der Elektronik?
Der Kindersitz lässt sich nicht elektronisch entriegeln oder die akustischen
Signale bleiben aus:
A: Öffnen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel (D) und checken Sie, ob alle Batterien
korrekt eingelegt sind.
B: Setzen Sie die Elektronik zurück (Reset) indem Sie den Stützfuß (G) ein-
fahren und anschließend das Stützbein (F) ganz in die Plattform (A) hinein
einklappen und wieder ausklappen. Nun startet die Elektronik neu.
C: Die Batterien sind leer oder haben sich entladen! Legen Sie 8 neue
Batterien (AAA) ein und achten Sie auf die richtige Polung.

8. Pflege / Wartung
Kunststoffteile können mit einem milden Reiniger oder mit einem feuchten
Tuch gereinigt werden. Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall scharfe
Reinigungsmittel (z.B. Lösungsmittel).
Ihr kiddyfix darf auf keinen Fall unter fließendem Wasser gesäubert werden,
da er elektrische Bauteile besitzt!
Bewegliche Teile sollten auf keinen Fall mit Schmiermitteln behandelt wer-
den.
9. Verhalten nach einem Unfall
Nach einem Unfall, bei dem die Geschwindigkeit größer als 10 km/h ist,
muss Ihr kiddy unbedingt vom Hersteller auf eventuelle Beschädigungen hin
überprüft und ggf. ausgetauscht werden.
10. Garantie
Für Ihren kiddy gewährleisten wir eine Garantie von 2 ahren für
Fabrikations- oder Materialfehler. Die Garantiezeit beginnt am Tag des
Kaufes. Für die Bearbeitung der Reklamation wird der Kaufbeleg benötigt.
Die Garantieleistung beschränkt sich auf sachgemäß behandelte und in sau-
berem und ordentlichem Zustand zurück gesendete Produkte.
Die Garantie erstreckt sich nicht auf:
- Natürliche Abnutzungserscheinungen und Schäden durch
übermäßige Beanspruchung
- oder Schäden durch ungeeignete oder unsachgemäße
Verwendung sowie die Funktionsfähigkeit der Batterien
Im Garantiefall wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Fachhändler.

Directions for use kiddyfix
1. Suitability
We are pleased that you have decided on the kiddyfix ISOFIX platform (A) in
combination with a kiddy child safety car seat as your choice of a child
restraint system.
The kiddyfix (A) is a safety product and may only be used in vehicles with
ISOFIX anchors and in combination with the respective child safety car
seats.
For use in your vehicle, please also follow the manufacturer’s
recommendations in your owner’s manual.
The kiddyfix (A), in combination with the kiddy child safety car seat, has been
tested and approved in accordance with the latest version of the Safety
Standard ECE-R44/04. The system type approval in the “semi-universal”
class.
You can find out from the attached vehicle type list, in which vehicles and on
which seat the kiddyfix (A) can be used. Please note that the vehicle type list
is continuously expanded and updated. Please contact your specialist dealer
with any queries. The current vehicle list can also be downloaded from
http://www.kiddy.de/content/files/kiddyfix.pdf.
It is imperative that you read the kiddyfix (A) and kiddy child car
safety seat instruction manuals and comply with all warnings and
instructions.
Always store both instruction manuals in the instruction manual com-
partment of the respective child safety car seat. It will then always be
handy when needed.

2. General safety instructions
Use only kiddy child car safety seats and original accessories appro-
ved by the manufacturer and do not make any modifications to the
product!
In case of any doubt, always contact your specialist dealer, the
importer or manufacturer.
Prior to first installation in the vehicle, always check
the vehicle type list and the vehicle user manual, or
contact the authorised workshop.
The kiddyfix (A) is a safety product and only guarantees safety when
used in accordance with regulations.
Inspect the ISOFIX connectors (A) before every trip to ensure that
they are connected to the vehicle and the supporting leg and base
(F/G) is properly adjusted. Also ensure that the child car safety seat
is latched onto the kiddyfix (A).
3. Prior to first use
Your kiddyfix (A) is a safety product equipped with electronics that makes it
very easy to use.
The locking action is confirmed by sound and optical display when correctly
latched on.
Removal of the baby car seat is equally unproblematic. After release by
pressing of the button the baby car seat can be removed using one hand.
Naturally, the functions can also be manually activated. When your kiddyfix
(A) is used without batteries or if they have discharged, your child’s safety is
still guaranteed.

The power circuit is only closed and the electronic function only operational
when the support leg (F) is folded out.
3.1 Insert / replace batteries
Open the lid of the battery compartment (D) by lifting it upwards (Fig. 1).
Now remove the battery clip by pushing the opening tab to the back and lif-
ting out the clip. Now slide the battery clip to the back and remove it (Fig. 2).
You need 8 high-quality AAA batteries to operate your kiddyfix (A).
Insert the batteries in the 8 compartments.
Make sure the polarisation is correct. The markings on the bottom of the
compartment indicate how the batteries must be inserted (Fig. 3).
Now replace the battery clip. Close the lid of the battery compartment (D).
Store batteries out of children’s reach.
Never expose the product or the batteries to fire.
Do not use old batteries or batteries showing leaks or cracks. Empty
batteries can be disposed of free of charge at specialist dealers,
where batteries are sold.

4. Installation in vehicle
Prior to installation, check whether your vehicle is
fitted with ISOFIX brackets (metal brackets between
the seat and backrest) and consult the vehicle type list
and vehicle user manual!
Never use another attachment (bracket) than described in this manu-
al or on the product label!
4.1 Installation steps
The support leg (F) must be folded out prior to installation in the vehicle.
For this purpose, pull the yellow support base handle (I) at the front (Fig. 4,
No. 1), slide the support base (G) slightly inwards and fold the support leg
(F) out (Fig. 4, No. 2).
This closes the power circuit for the electric release and the sound signals.
You kiddyfix is now automatically switched on.
Now check whether the anchoring system of your kiddyfix is released by
pressing both yellow ISOFIX unlatching buttons (E) at the top on the sides of
the support leg (F) (Fig. 5).
Press (click) both funnels guides (M) onto the brackets between the seat and
backrest of the vehicle seat (Fig. 6).
Now slide the yellow connectors (L) onto the metal brackets and press
tightly against it.
Proper latching is confirmed by a sound signal as well as the green ISOFIX
display (E) (Fig. 7).
Test whether both connectors (L) have latched in by pulling on it.

The final installation step is to adjust the support base (G).
To achieve this, activate (1) the yellow support base handle (I) and pull the
support base (G) out until it stands firmly on the floor of the vehicle and both
support foot displays indicate red (Fig. 8).
Lift the platform slightly up if necessary.
Check that the mechanical parts latch in correctly by trying to retract the sup-
port base (G) without activating the support base handle (I). If the support
base (G) is not moving, it is properly latched.
Your kiddyfix must always be used with folded out and correctly adju-
sted support base (G)!
Now you can install your kiddy child safety car seat according to its
instruction manual on the kiddyfix (A).
Prior to every trip, check whether all systems are correctly latched, or
adjusted.
5. Dismantling
First remove the kiddy child safety car seat from the kiddyfix platform (A) as
explained in its instruction manual.
Now you can start with dismantling the platform (A).
Keep both ISOFIX unlatch buttons (E) pressed in and simultaneously pull the
platform (A) from the brackets downwards to the front (Fig. 9).
The support base (G) can now be retracted and the support leg (F) folded in
under the platform (A). When the support base (G) is pulled out now
(Fig. 10), it remains anchored under the platform (A).

When the support leg (F) is folded in, the power circuit is interrupted. The
electronics switches off automatically.
The last step is to pull the funnel guides (M) from the metal anchors.
6. Adjusting the carriage
The carriage (C) on the top of the platform (A) can be slid forwards and back-
wards. The carriage (C) can be freely slid backwards when a kiddy child
safety car seat is installed on the platform.
If you want to move the carriage (C) forward, you must pull both side carria-
ge levers (K) upwards (Fig. 11, No. 1) and simultaneously move the carriage
(C) forward (Fig. 11, No. 2).
7. What to do in case of malfunctioning electronics?
The child safety car seat cannot be released electronically or the sound
signals do not function:
A: Open the battery compartment lid (D) and check whether the batteries are
inserted correctly.
B: Reset the electronics by retracting the support base (G) and then comple-
tely folding the support leg (F) into the platform (A) and out again. Now
restart the electronics.
C: The batteries are flat or have discharged! Insert 8 new AAA batteries and
make sure of correct polarisation.

8. Upkeep and servicing / Maintenance
Plastic parts can be cleaned with a mild detergent or with a damp cloth.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. solvents).
Because it contains electric components, your kiddyfix may under no circum-
stances be cleaned under running water.
Movable parts should never be lubricated.
9. Steps to take after an accident
After an accident resulting from a speed of more than 10km, it is imperative
to have your kiddy be checked by the manufacturer for possible damage and
then replaced if necessary.
10. Warranty
For your kiddy we extend a warranty against defects in materials and work-
manship for up to 2 years. The guarantee period commences on the day of
purchase. The purchase receipt is needed for the processing of any com-
plaints. The guarantee is limited to products, which have been handled
appropriately and are returned in a clean and sound condition.
The guarantee does not extend to:
- normal wear and tear and damage due to excessive load
during use
- damage due to inappropriate or improper use as well as the
functionality of the batteries
Please contact your specialist dealer immediately in the event of a warranty
claim.
The kiddy team wish you and your child a good and safe trip at all
