purchased is a safe and
powerful heater, designed to heat a
room after a few minutes of operation.
Ceramic heater technology has been
in use for many years and has been
proven as an excellent source for
safely heating whole rooms, while
saving on heating bills.
Additionally, this Ceramic heater
includes an overheat protection
system a safety tip-over switch, and
an inlet air overheat protection
system designed to ensure your
safety.
Before using your new MAXIHEAT
Ceramic Heater, please take a few
minutes to read these instructions,
review the product’s limited warranty,
and complete and mail the Warranty
Registration Card.

from the front of the heater and away
from the side and rear.
IMPORTANT
INSTRUCTIONS
When using this appliance, basic
precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury to persons,
including the following:
1. Read all the instructions before
using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To
avoid burns, do not let bare skin
touch hot surfaces. If provided,
use handles when moving this
heater. Keep flammable and
combustible materials, such as
furniture, pillows, aerosol, bedding,
papers, clothes, and curtains at
least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of
the heater and keep them away
from the sides and rear.
3. Extreme caution is necessary
when any heater is used by or
near children or invalids and
whenever the heater is left
operating and unattended.
4. Do not operate the heater with a
damaged cord or plug, or after the
heater malfunctions, has been
dropped, or damaged in any
manner. Return the heater to an
authorized service facility for
examination, electrical or
mechanical adjustment, or repair.
5. Do not use outdoors (this heater is
not tested nor has it been
approved for use in wet/outdoor
environments).
6. This heater is not intended for use
in bathrooms, laundry areas, or
similar indoor locations. Never

7. Do not run the cord under
carpeting and do not cover the
cord with throw rugs, runners or
the like. Arrange the cord away
from high traffic areas and where it
will not be tripped over.
8. To disconnect heater, turn controls
to OFF, then remove plug from the
electrical outlet.
9. Do not insert or allow foreign
objects to enter any ventilation or
exhaust opening as this may
cause an electric shock, fire, or
damage to the heater.
10. To prevent a possible fire, do
not block air intakes or exhaust
openings in any manner. Do not
use on soft/pliable surfaces, like a
bed, where openings may become
blocked. Place the heater on flat,
dry surfaces only.
11. A heater has hot and arcing or
sparking parts inside. Do not use
heater in areas where gasoline,
paint or flammable liquids are
used or stored.
12. Use this heater only as
described in this manual. Any
other use not recommended by
the manufacturer may cause fire,
electric shock, or injury to persons.
13. Never clean this heater while it
is plugged in. Do not immerse the
heater in water. To disconnect,
turn control to OFF, then remove
the plug from the electrical outlet
by grasping it and pulling. Never
yank on the cord.
14.This heater includes an overheat
protection system that shuts the
heater off when its components are
getting excessively hot. If the
heater shuts off, immediately turn
the heater OFF and inspect for any
objects, on or adjacent to the
heater, which may cause high
temperatures. DO NOT OPERATE
THE HEATER UNTIL IT IS RESET.
To reset the heater, turn it OFF,
unplug it from the electrical outlet,
and wait five to ten minutes for the
unit to cool down before plugging it
back in and turning the heater on.
15. Always unplug the heater when
not in use.
16. Avoid the use of an extension
cord because the extension cord
may overheat and cause a risk of
fire. However, if you have to use
an extension cord, the cord should
be No.14 AWG minimum size and
rated not less than 1875W.
17. Do not let children play with any
parts of the packing (such as
plastic bags).

Operating Instructions
1. Plug the power supply cord into a
wall outlet. (110/120VAC, 60Hz).
The LCD will turn on and will
display the room temperature.
Important: This appliance has a
polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other) to reduce the risk of electric
shock. This plug is intended to fit in a
polarized outlet only one way. If the

plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.
2. TURNING THE HEATER ON:
To turn the heater ON, press the
MODE button. The heat setting will
be set to AUTO automatically.
Press the MODE button again to
set to HIGH, press a third time to
set to LOW and a fourth time to set
the FAN only.
3. TURNING THE HEATER OFF: To
turn the heater OFF, press the
MODE button and hold for about 3
seconds.
4. SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
Under AUTO mode:
To set the desired temperature:
Press the “+” button once until the
LCD temperature scale starts
flashing.
Press the “+” again to increase the
temperature or the “–“ button to
decrease the temperature.
The desired temperature will set and
execute after the LCD stops flashing.
This is your ideal setting. The heater
will start automatically when the room
temperature drops below this set
point and will turn off when the set
point is reached.
The default temperature setting is
preset from the factory at 71 degrees
Fahrenheit.
NOTE: THE AUTO MODE WILL
NOT OPERATE IN THE FAN ONLY
SETTING.
5. SETTING THE TIMER
Under AUTO mode:
To set the Timer:
1. Press the TIMER button until the
Set Time starts flashing. The
default value is 3 hours.
2. Press the “+” button to increase the
set time or the “–“ button to
decrease the set time.
The Timer can be set from 1 hour to
12 hours. The Timer will set and
execute after the LCD display stops
flashing. The heater will shut OFF
automatically when the set time is
reached.
3. To turn the Timer OFF, follow step 1
and press the “–“ button to set the
time to 0. The Timer feature will
turn off when the LCD stops
flashing.
NOTE: WHENEVER YOU CHANGE
THE TEMPERATURE (+/-) THE
AUTO MODE WILL ACTIVATE.
Oscillating Base
To operate the oscillating base
featured on this heater, press the
“Osc.” button located on the control
panel of the heater.

Maintenance
1. Always turn OFF the heater and
disconnect the cord from the
electrical outlet before cleaning
your heater.
2. Light accumulated dust may be
removed from the heater with a
soft cloth or vacuum cleaner.
3. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the
heater occasionally with a damp
cloth (not dripping wet), using a
solution of mild detergent and
water. Dry the case thoroughly
before operating the heater.
Caution: Do not allow water to run
into the interior of the heater
as this could create a fire or
electric shock hazard.
4. The fan motor is factory lubricated
for life and will require no further
lubrication.
5. Store heater in a clean dry place
when not in use.
Warning: Any other servicing
needed must be performed by an
authorized service representative. Do
not attempt to service the unit
yourself.
Avoid the use of an extension cord
because the extension cord may
overheat and cause a risk of fire. If
this heater is used with an extension
cord, the cord should be 14 AWG
minimum size and rated no less than
1875 watts.

lLCD Display –When the unit is plugged in, the LCD will glow and indicate
the room temperature. It will also show you the set value when you set
the desired temperature and Timer.
lSafety Tip-Over Switch –Your heater is designed to automatically shut-off
when tipped forward or backwards. When returned to normal upright
position, heat will automatically resume. This is a safety feature to avoid
the possibility of fire should the unit be accidentally tipped over.
lOverheat Shut-Off Protection System-Your heater includes a protection
system that shuts off the heater if it overheats for any reason.
lInlet Air Overheat Protection System–This heater will automatically shut
off if the inlet air duct gets obstructed and causes the unit to overheat.
Note: There may be a trace of smoke or odor when the unit is first operated.
Do not be alarmed. This indicates a drop of oil fell on the interior coils during
the manufacturing process. It will quickly evaporate and should not re-occur.

MaxiHeat Ceramic Heater
One Year Limited Warranty
KING OF FANS, INC. referred to hereafter as KOF, warrants as limited herein to the original
purchaser of the retail that each new Ceramic heater shall be free of defects in material and
workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. This one (1) year
warranty is limited to the heating elements and electric control circuit board.
In the event of malfunctions or failure of your MaxiHeat Ceramic heater, simply deliver or send the
heater, postage prepaid along with PROOF OF PURCHASE, within the warranty period of one (1)
year, to KING OF FANS, INC. at the address specified below. KOF reserves the right to inspect the
claimed defective part or parts to determine if the defect or malfunction compliant is covered by
this warranty. KOF shall, within sixty(60) days after receipt of the product, at its opinion, repair
and/or replace the defective part or parts free of charge. This warranty shall only cover defects
arising from normal usage. KOF assumes no responsibility whatsoever if the Ceramic heater
should fail during the warranty period by reason of:
1. Misuse, negligence, physical damage or accidents.
2. Lack of maintenance (see instruction for proper maintenance).
3. Repair by any unauthorized party during the warranty period.
4. Damage caused by connection to an improper input voltage (see specification label on
the bottom of your heater).
KOF makes no further warranties or representations, express or implied except those contained
herein. No representations or dealer is authorized to assume any other liability regarding the
Ceramic heater. The duration of the implied warranty granted under State law, including warranties
of merchantability and fitness for particular purpose are limited in duration should the duration of
the express warranty grant it hereunder. KOF shall in no event be liable for direct, indirect, special
or consequential damages.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and/or the above
limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you
may have other rights,which vary from state to state.
The purchaser should complete and return within fifteen (15) days from the date of purchase the
warranty registration card supplied with each unit.
Should you Baseboard heater fail to operate under the terms of this limited warranty, return it
postage prepaid along with PROOF OF PURCHASE to:

Calentador de cerámica MAXIHEAT
ha sido utilizada por varios años y ha
demostrado ser un excelente y
seguro sistema para calentar amplios
espacios, mientras ahorra dinero en
sus cuentas de electricidad.
Adicionalmente, este calentador
incluye un sistema de protección en
caso de sobrecalentamiento,

3. Sea muy cuidadoso cuando use

4. No opere el calentador con
cables dañados, después de una
mal funcionamiento, o si este ha
se ha caído o dañado de alguna
manera. Lleve el calentador a un
centro de servicio autorizado para
que sea examinado, ajustado o
reparado.
ADVERTENCIA! Para reducir el riesgo de
incendio, choque eléctrico, o lesiones

5. No utilize en exteriores.
6. Este calentador no esta
diseñado para usar en baños,
zonas de lavandería o áreas
interiores similares. Nunca ubique
el calentador donde pueda caer a
una tina u otro lugar que contenga
agua.
7. No coloque el cable por debajo
del tapete. No cubra el cable con
alfombras, tiras de tapete o
similares. Instale el cable de forma
que quede lejos de áreas de
tráfico pesado para evitar
accidentes.
8. Para desconectar el calentador,
apague los controles, y luego retire
el enchufe del interruptor de
enchufes.
9. No inserte o permita que entre
ningún objeto extraño en la
abertura de ventilación y
combustión ya que esto puede
causar choque eléctrico, Incendios
o dañar la unidad.
10. No bloquee sus entradas y
salidas de aire con el fin de
prevenir incendios. No usar sobre
superficies suaves/flexibles como
camas, para evitar que este se

Use el calentador en una
superficie plana y seca

11. Un calentador tienes partes

12. Utilice este calentador solo como
se describe en este manual. Usos
no recomendados por el manual
pueden causar choque eléctrico,

13. Nunca limpie este aparato
mientras este conectado. No lo
sumerja en agua. Para
desconectarlo primero apáguelo
(OFF), luego desenchúfelo de la
pared halando directamente del
enchufe. Nunca hale del cable
para desenchufar.
14. Este calentador incluye un
sistema de protección en caso de
recalentamiento que apaga el
aparato cuando alguna de sus
partes se pone excesivamente
caliente. Si el calentador se apaga
solo, inmediatamente apegüelo del
control (OFF) y revise si algún
objeto sobre o adyacente al
calentador pudo haber causado
una alta temperatura. NO OPERE
EL CALENTADOR HASTA QUE
NO SE REAJUSTE. Para
reajustarlo, apegüelo,
desconéctelo de la pared y espere
de 5 a 10 minutos a que la unidad
se enfrié antes de conectarla y
encenderla de nuevo.
Evite el uso de cables de extensión
ya que este cable se puede
recalentar y causar riesgo de
incendio. Sin embargo, si usted
tiene que usar un cable de extensión,
este debe ser de tamaño mínimo N0.
14 AWG y no ser para menos de
1875 vatios.

Instrucciones de Operacion
1. Enchufe el cable de suministro de
energía en un enchufe de pared
(110/120VAC, 60Hz). La pantalla
de LCD se encenderá y mostrará
la temperatura ambiente.
Importante: Este articulo tiene
enchufe polarizado (un aspa es mas
ancha que la otra). Para reducir el
riesgo de choque eléctrico, el
enchufe esta diseñado para ajustarse
a salidas de electricidad de una sola
forma. Si el enchufe no se ajusta
perfectamente a la salida de
electricidad gire el enchufe e
inténtelo de nuevo. Si continua sin
ajustar, contacte un electricista
calificado para recibir ayuda. No trate
de anular este dispositivo de
seguridad.
2. Encendido del calentador:
Encienda el calentador ON, y
presione el boton de MODE. La
calefaccion se programara
automaticamente en AUTO.
Presion el boton de MODE de
nuevo para programarla en ALTO
(HIGH), presione una tercera vez
para programarla el BAJO (LOW) y
una cuarta vez para dejar solo el
ventilador en funcionamiento.
3. Apagado del Calentador: Para
apagar el calentador (OFF),
presione el boton de MODE y
sostengalo por 3 segundos aprox.
4. Programacion de la temperatura
Presion el boton “+” una vez hasta
que la escala de temperature del
LCD comienze a titular.
Presione “+” de Nuevo para
incrementar la temperature o
“–“ para disminuirla.
La temperature deseada quedara
programa despues de que el LCD
pare de titular. El calentador se
encendera automaticamente cuando
la temperature ambiental desceinda
por debajo del punto seleccionado y
se apagara cuando la temperature
escogida sea alcanzada de nuevo.
La temperature programada de
fabrica es de 71 grados Fahrenheit.
NOTA: EL MODO DE AUTO NO
FUNCIONA CUANDO EL
CALENTADOR ESTA SOLO COMO
VENTILADOR.
5. Programacion del Timer
Bajo el modo de AUTO:
Programcion del timer:
1. Presione el boton de TIMER hasta
que el tiempo empice a titular en la
pantalla. La programacion de
fabrica.
2. Presione “+” para incrementar el
tiempo del timer o “–“ para
disminuirlo.
CUIDADO
Este articulo no esta diseñado
para usar con cables de
extensión. Enchufe el cable
directamente a un enchufe de
pared apropiado.

El timer puede ser programado desde
une hora hasta doce horas. El timer
quedara programado despues de que
el tiempo deje de titular en el LCD. El
calentador de apagara
automaticamente cuando el tiempo
programado de halla cumplido.
3. Para pagar el calentador OFF, siga
el paso 1 y presione “–“ para llevar
el tiempo a 0 (cero). El timer se
apagara cuando el LCD pare de
titular.
NOTA: CADA VEZ QUE USTED
CAMBIE LA TEMPERATURA (+/-),
EL MODO DE AUTO SE ACTIVARA.
Base Giratoria
Para operar la base giratoria de este
calentador, presione el boton de
“Osc.” Localizado en el panel de
control.
Mantenimiento
1. Siempre retire el enchufe de la
salida de energía de la pared y
espere a que el artículo se enfrié.
2. Retire acumulaciones pequeñas
de polvo con un paño o
aspiradora.
3. Limpie las superficies externas del
calentador ocasionalmente, con un
paño humedecido (que no gotee)
en una solución de detergente
suave y agua. Seque las
superficies antes de usar el
calentador.
Cuidado: No permita que entre agua
en el interior del aparato ya que esto
puede crear incendio o choque
eléctrico.
4. El motor viene lubricado de por
vida desde la fabrica y no requiere
lubricación extra
5. Guarde el calentador cuando no
esta en uso en un lugar seco y
limpio.
ADVERTENCIA: Cualquier tipo de
servicio necesario debe ser realizado
por un representante autorizado de
servicio. No intente realizarse algún
tipo de servicio por usted mismo.
Evite el uso de un cable de extensión
ya que este pueda causar
recalentamiento y crearse un
incendio o choque eléctrico. Si usted
debe usar un cable de extensión,
este debe ser al menos NO. 14AWG
para 1875 voltios.

lPantalla LCD –Cuando la unidad esta enchufada a la pared, la pantalla
LCD estará endendida indicanto la temperatura ambiental. Esta también
le mostrará los valores que que usted ha programado en temperatura y
tiempo (timer).
lInterruptor de Seguridad en caso de vuelco –Su calentador esta
diseñado para que se apague automáticamente en caso de vuelco hacia
adelante o hacia atrás. Cuando este vuelva a su posición vertical correcta,
automáticamente reasumirá. Este es un dispositivo de seguridad para
evitar posibles incendios cuando la unidad se voltee.
lProtección de apagado en caso de recalentamiento –Su calentador tiene
un sistema de protección que lo apaga en el momento en que este se
recaliente por alguna razón.
lSistema de Proteccion en caso de Estancamiento del Aire -Este
calentador se apagara automaticamente si el ducto que permite la salida
del aire es obstruido causando que el aparato se recaliente.
Nota: Puede haber señales de humo u olor a quemado cuando la unidad es
utilizada por primera vez. No se alarme. Esto indica que aceite cayo en el
elemento de calefacción durante su proceso de fabricación. Este se evapora
rápidamente y no debe volver a ocurrir.

KING OF FANS, INC. Referida de aquí en adelante como KOF, garantiza al comprador original
que cada calentador Cerámico está libre de defectos de materiales y fabricación por un período
de (1) año desde la fecha de compra original. Esta garantía de (1) año está limitada a los
elementos, el motor y el panel de circuitos eléctricos.
Si su Calentador Maxi-Heat se daña, simplemente llévelo o envíelo, correo prepagado junto con
prueba de compra, dentro del período de garantía de (1) año, a KING OF FANS, INC. A la
dirección abajo. KOF se reserva el derecho a inspeccionar las piezas reclamadas como
defectuosas para determinar si el defecto o daño esta cubierto por esta garantía. KOF deberá,
dentro de sesenta (60) días luego de recibir el producto, a su discreción, reparar y/o remplazar las
piezas defectuosas libre de cargo. Esta garantía sólo cubre defectos provenientes del uso normal.
KOF no asume responsabilidad alguna si el calentador falla por razones de:
1. Mal uso, negligencia, daño físico o accidentes.
2. Falta de mantenimiento (lea las instrucciones).
3. Arreglos por personas no autorizadas durante el periodo de garantía.
4. Daño causado en conexión al uso inapropiado de la entrada de voltaje. (vea las

KOF no hace otras garantías o representaciones expresas o insinuadas excepto las contenidas
