GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Multibath SE is designed to be used in Hospitals, Nursing and
Residential homes and domestic properties.
This bath is used to assist the carers in the bathing of a person who gener-
ally has some reduction in mobility by raising and lowering the bath to a
convenient height. The traversing seat allows transfer in out and out of the
bath.
WARNING!
PROVISION MUST BE MADE TO BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE USER FROM THE
BATH SAFETLY IN CASE OF EMERGENCY OR POWER FAILURE. THIS MUST
BE FEASIBLE WHEN THE BATH IS IN ANY OF ITS RAISED POSITIONS.
(I.E A MOBILE HOIST IN CASE THE CEILING TRACK HOIST FAILS)
The Multibath SE is supplied with a TMV3 rated bath fill as standard.
This user manual should be read thoroughly before use and we would
recommend putting laminated user and safety instructions on the wall
adjacent to the bath for other carers/users. Please ask Kingkraft if you
would like some copies.
Only accessories manufactured by Kingkraft are intended for use in the
Multibath SE. If other accessories manufactured by others are used we
recommend a risk assessment is undertaken as to their safe use.

IMPORTANT
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

ANY PERSON WHO IS INCAPABLE OF FULLY HELPING THEMSELVES
MUST NEVER BE LEFT ALONE IN THE BATH-EVEN FOR A SHORT WHILE
This manual contains information on the standard Multibath SE. Special de-
signed baths by Kingkraft may differ from herein. Please contact Kingkraft if
you have any queries on how to use your product.
• Do not stand in the bath at any time
• Kingkraft products are intended for domestic and commercial use only
• Kingkraft baths are intended for bathing people only
• Do not exceed the maximum weight load 133kg (21st)
• Only one person should be in the bath at one time
• Only Kingkraft manufactured accessories have been tested by Kingkraft
for safe use with this bath under normal conditions of use.
• The bath is fitted with a handset, this should not be submerged in the
water, if it happens to fall in, quickly wipe it dry and seek advice if unsure
Note that UK regulations state, in general, no person should lift a mass
greater than 25kg unaided. Use appropriate lifting equipment if this is required
to help disabled people to get in and out of the bath.
RISK OF SCALDING
Although safety devices are fitted to minimise any risk of scalding, users
must be aware that these are not fail safe. The temperature of the unit must
be independently verified on each occasion it is used-this should be tested
ideally with a calibrated thermometer.
Refer to Kingkraft if the water is too hot or too cold and do not use the bath
until the problem has been corrected.

Cushions & supports
Our cushions are manufactured using PVC and foam filler or polystyrene beads.
There is a risk of floating, pleas ensure they are secured before use.
• Ensure that the bath bottom and mattresses/suckers are clean
• Place cushions/supports securely onto base / side of bath
• Run a small amount of water into the bath
• Press the mattress firmly onto the bottom of the bath
When removing for cleaning take care that each suckers is prised carefully away
from the bottom of the bath to avoid a tearing action. If the cushion rips around the
suckers, this will invalidate your warranty.

reason you need to move your bath or re-install. Installation guides are available

To fill the bath
If the bath has been supplied with a Opac TMV3
Mixer Tap -
Turn the right hand lever to start the flow of water, and leave in the desired
position until the bath is full to the level required. To stop the flow turn the lever in
the anticlockwise direction until the water stops. To change the temperature turn
the left hand lever until desired temperature is achieved.
If the bath has been supplied with a Rada Authomerm TMV3 Thermostatic
Mixer Tap -
Turn the main flow lever to the right hand side of the unit, which will begin the
water flow from the tap spout. To stop the flow, turn the lever to the middle
position, above the spout. The temperature can be adjusted by using the
temperature control knob on the top of the mixer tap.
If the bath has been supplied with a Rada Sense Digital Adjustable Mixer
Valve System -
The control panel can be mounted on the bath tub, a bracket or wall mounted
near to the bath.
Move your hand in front of the ‘bath fill’ symbol / sensor to start the flow of water.
The temperature of the water can be increased by holding / waving a hand in
front of the red ‘hot’ sensor on the right of the control panel. The temperature of
the water can also be reduced by holding / waving a hand in front of the blue
‘cold’ sensor on the left of the control panel. Lights will indicate where between
the minimum and maximum temperature the water temperature is currently set.

The above bath fill options are set by Kingkraft commissioning engineers
(if this has been specified) to a maximum temperature of 44 degrees when the
bath valve control is fully turned/set at its maximum. Always allow time for the
mixed water to run through the systems.
With some boiler systems there can be some temperature fluctuation when the
tap is first turned on, let this stabalise before continuing to fill the bath up or use
the shower.

Remember: the temperature of the water must be checked on every occasion
before a person is placed in the bath or the shower used.
WARNING!

If the bath has been supplied with a Rada Authomerm TMV3 Thermostatic
Mixer Tap -
Turn the main flow lever to the left hand side of the unit, which will begin

temperature by 2-5 degrees dependent on water pressures from the bath
fill maximum temperature.
Move your hand in front of the ‘shower’ symbol / sensor to start the flow of water.
To stop the shower, hold / wave a hand in front of the ‘shower’ symbol.
The above shower options are set by Kingkraft commissioning engineers
(if this service has been specified) to a maximum temperature of 39 degrees when the
shower valve control is fully turned/set at its maximum.

Maintenance
The Multibath SE requires annual servicing and 6 month LOLER test, please
contact Kingkraft for further advice.
Fault finding. If your bath is not going up and down but making a ‘beeping noise’,
firstly check that the power supply has not been turned offto the bath. If the
power supply is turned on, try the below.
If the bath will not respond to the pressing of the raise or lower buttons on the
handset switch, and you can hear a beeping sound coming from the bath, you will
have to follow the initialisation sequence to re-set the bath.
Failure of the mains power to the bath, or running the bath offthe back-up
battery only could lead to the synchronisation of the lifting columns becoming
compromised, causing the system to stop working until it is reset.
Initialisation procedure
(only required following loss of synchronising as above)
• Press both up and down button at the same time for at least 5 seconds. This
will activate the new manual mode. The buzzer will beep.
• After the 5 seconds the beep will change to a shorter / different kind of beep.
Release the up and down button and then press the down button only (this
has to be done within 5 seconds. If not the beep will stop and you have start all
over again from point 1)
• During pressing the down buttons all columns will drive inwards. The beep will
be continuous as long as the columns are driving inwards. Columns have to
be driven all the way down after which the beep will stop. The system is then
initialized and ready for use.
We recommend an annual service on all Kingkraft products. If any faults are found
in the unit, contact Kingkraft immediately.
Below is a table to help you keep record of when Kingkraft have attended.
However we will send a reminder letter when the service is due to the address
on our records.
