Assemble the four legs by bolting one upper and one lower leg piece together. Position the
lower leg piece and the upper leg piece in a way that aligns the holes at the desired height.
Place a M8 flat washer on to one M8x20 bolt and feed thread through the aligned holes.
Place an M8 Spring washer and M8 Nylock nut and finger tighten.
Complete this step for all 4 legs.
(It’s recommended to use a minimum of 6x bolts per leg – preferably 9x bolts.)
3. INSTALLATION
It’s easiest to assemble the basic structure on the ground. This tub rack’s height is adjustable and can be
altered once its on the vehicle. Installation can be easier done at a lower height and later altered to suit your
requirements.

With your mate, remove the tub rack from your tub. Using the 3mm drill bit, drill pilot holes in
the previously marked positions. Widen the holes with a 10mm drill bit.
Grab a mate and position the rack where you want to mount it, make sure it is square
compared to the cabin. Using masking tape and a marker pen is a good way to mark your
mounting points on the tub. Use a marker, mark the centre of the holes on the lower legs –
these are the drill points for your tub. Repeat for each leg.
Add two support pieces to the top of the tub rack, connecting the two ends. Fit M8x20 bolts
washers and nuts and finger tighten. Now the rack will free stand and is assembled enough
to mount to the tub.
Slot the headboard piece and tailgate piece into the upper legs, adjust the width to suit your
vehicle. Add M8 bolts with washers and finger tighten with M8 Nylock nut.

NOTE 1. ENSURE ALL SUPPORT PIECES ARE USED
NOTE 2: PERIODICALLY CHECK AND RETIGHTEN BOLTS AS REQUIRED
With the feet tightened, you can adjust the overall height and fine tune the width.
Once paint has dried, the tub rack can be mounted again. Once mounted fit 8x M10 x 50
bolts to the vertical holes drilled and 4x M10 x 30 bolts to the horizontal holes drilled into the
tub. All bolts’ nuts and washers should be tightened on each leg to the tub rack. Remember
to use flat washer to spread the load of the bolt.
Using a deburring tool, you can clean up any of the holes you have drilled, as well as touching
up the paint to cover the fresh drilled metal to prevent rust.

3.2 ADDING A ROOF TOP TENT
If you are adding a Kings Rooftop Tent, we advise that the “front to back” support beams are aligned with the
mounting extrusion of the base of the tent (825mm apart). This provides a solid mounting base and an even
distribution of weight.
We recommend periodically checking all nuts and bolts.
Due to the size and mounting rail positioning, tents such as the the “Kwiky” should be used in conjunction with
a suitably sized flat rack or platform.
