Important safety notice
Photosensitive seizure warning
A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including
flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people who have no history of seizures or
epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these “photosensitive epileptic seizures” while
watching video games. These seizures may have a variety of symptoms, including altered vision, eye or face
twitching, jerking or shaking of arms or legs, disorientation, confusion, or momentary loss of awareness.
Seizures may also cause loss of consciousness or convulsions that can lead to injury.
Immediately discontinue playing and consult a doctor if you experience any of these symptoms. Parents should
watch for or ask their children about the above symptoms.

In this screen you can create, select or edit a participant. You can either choose to do a rapid assessment
clicking on (in this case the measurement is not saved in the database) or to work
with a patient profile (in this last case the database of the patient will be updated after the measurement of
the day).
In order to create a participant, click on . You can delete a participant by clicking on .
You can select an existing participant on the Participant selection zone.
Participant ’s history
When you are in the patient’s profile you can do an exercise and check the participant's previous results in the
database. To do that, click on any of the existing exercises. The exercises are organized by their respective K-
FORCE device.

Control the exercise state through the Buttons "Reset" and "Go/Stop".
Check one limb at a time. It is very important to properly choose the correct limb side (right or left) as this will
affect the database results.
You can stop an exercise even before completing the total amount of repetitions asked in the first place. Just
click on "Stop". The work done will be saved in the database
Check your results in the database as shown previously.

K-FORCE Grip
K-FORCE Grip is used for the evaluation of hand grip strength. You can
assess maximum isometric strength as well as fatigue. Grip strength is
very important in sports and in rehabilitation for grabbing, lifting and
throwing and should be assessed often after hand trauma or surgery.
The device has an ergonomic elliptic shape for a better grabbing with
an external diameter from 40 to 45 mm and can record grip strength
up to 70 kg.
Benefits
K-FORCE Grip is equipped with electronic force
transducers and gives you real-time biofeedback
on your tablet or smartphone through the K-
FORCE app. Therefore, you can set strength
objectives to your patient and motivate him
through the process of rehabilitation. You will,
then, follow-up your patient's progress through
the K-FORCE interactive database.
The device is small, lightweight and mobile. Consequently, it can be used also by ambulant
professionals, such as physiotherapists and personal trainers.

K-FORCE Plates
K-FORCE Plates is an innovative product for rehabilitating balance and assessing lower
limb muscular symmetry and strength. K-FORCE Plates is easy to install and to connect.
The K-FORCE app's protocols evaluate important balance and lower limb
strength factors such as: left and right lower limb loading, balance
proprioception, center of pressure control and behavior, max. strength
and symmetry. Each plate has a surface of 320 x 160 mm and can
record forces up to 300 kg (600 kg for the pair).
Benefits
K-FORCE Plates is equipped with electronic force transducers and transmits real-time acoustic and optic bio-
feedback on your smartphone or tablet through the K-FORCE app. This product exploits the new technologies
of Internet of Things and Rehab-Gaming.
This device turns rehabilitation into a game, while giving
important metrics to the therapist or trainer.
It also measures the progress in lower limb strength as
well as symmetry through its intuitive app.
K-FORCE Plates are lightweight and can be used also by
ambulant professionals, such as physiotherapists and personal trainers.

Installation
Install K-FORCE Plates according to the exercise programmed.
On the floor
This configuration is ideal for balance exercises. You can lay K-FORCE Plates on the ground either one touching
the other or at distance. This increases the difficulty level of balance exercises, as you can work on your lower
limbs muscular force on the same time.
Figure 7, Configuration of K-FORCE plates on the floor
On vertical surface
K-FORCE Plates can be attached on a vertical surface in order to measure upper limbs muscular strength, or
even on weight lifting machinery such as a Leg Press Machine. To this end, use Velcro sticks with at least 200
cm2surface. For your safety, please make sure that K-FORCE plates are well fixed on vertical surfaces before
using.

Static balance exercise
In this exercise of weight distribution, you can set some parameters, such as:
•level of difficulty
•distribution target to be achieved
•work time
•pause time
•number of repetitions
K-FORCE Plates also monitor the execution of the exercise (waiting for input, exercise stopped, break time,
working time).
This exercise is useful to work on the load of each limb as well as on weight distribution. The device provides
real-time acoustic and optic bio-feedback.
While your device is connecting, don't load the device, don't step on the device, don't move the device,
don't put force on the device.
The blue strip represents the target to reach, and the orange cursor shows the real-time weight distribution
and load applied on K-FORCE plates.
You can monitor the evolution of performance after each exercise, the
score obtained measured against the target set. Monitor the progress of
the exercise using buttons "Reset" and "Go/Stop".
Check the results in the database.

Dynamic Balance Exercise
You can exercise dynamic balance in motion aided by bio-feedback.
While your device is connecting, don't load the device, don't step on the device, don't move the device,
don't put force on the device.
You can select various scenarios to make the rehabilitation and exercising as playful as possible. Example:
collect all the necessary ingredients to produce a vegetable soup. You'll obtain important metrics, such as
exercise success, trajectory of the center of pressure, exercise timing, problematic balance zones.
