Electrical safety and cord handling
• Make sure that your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the voltage
stated on the appliance rating label and that your outlet is properly grounded.

Features
• The compact power base operates as soon as the blending assembly is pushed
down and turned counterclockwise.
• The High Speed Blending and Mixing System comes with two blade assemblies for
fastandefcientchoppingandblending.Bothbladesaremadeofstainlesssteel,so
they are dishwasher safe.
• The cross blade assembly is suitable for chopping and grating foods such as
vegetables,onions,cheeseandmeat,andforjuicingandblendingdrinks.Thecross
bladeassemblyissuitableforchoppingandgratingfoodssuchasvegetables,
onions,cheeseandmeat,andforjuicingandblendingdrinks.Themaximumvolume
of meat loading is 70g.
• Theatbladeassemblyissuitableforwhippingcreamandgrindinghardfoodssuch
as coffee beans and spices.
• Thesmallcupsareidealforchoppingandmixingdipsandpartyfoods,grating
cheese or blending smaller quantities of steamed fruit or vegetables for baby food.
• The large cups are ideal for blending milk or fruit-based drinks or individual portions
of smooth vegetable soup.
• A number of accessories make the appliance even more versatile.
• Usetheshakerlidforservingfoodyougratedinthesmallcup,suchasparmesan
cheese or ground spices.
NOTE:Donotusethecupsforstorageoffoodformorethanoneday(24hours).
For long time storage please transfer the food to a proper storage product.
• Screw the lip ring onto the blending cup for comfortable sipping and serve
milkshakes or smoothies straight from the blending cup.
• The cups are dishwasher safe.

Getting Started
Before rst use
• Unpack the appliance but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure
your new High Speed Blending and Mixing System is undamaged and in good
working order. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young
children,soensureallpackagingmaterialsareoutoftheirreach.
• Unwind the cord to its full length and inspect it for damage. Do not use the appliance
if the appliance or its cord have been damaged or are not working properly.
• Read this manual to familiarise yourself with all the parts and operating principles
of the appliance. Pay particular attention to the safety instructions on the previous
pages.
• Make sure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply.
• Disassemble the appliance and wash all parts except the power base with a soft
cloth or sponge in warm water and a little dish washing detergent to remove any
dust or other remnants from the manufacturing process. Rinse with clean water and
dry thoroughly.
CAUTION!
• Takecarewhenassembling,disassembling,cleaningandstoringtheHighSpeed
Blending and Mixing System. The blades are very sharp: handle with extreme
care!
• Always make sure the product is unplugged from the wall outlet before assembling
it.
• Beforeoperation,alwaysensurethatthesilicongasket,locatedontheinside
bottomedgeofthebladeassembly,issecurelyinplace.
Preparing food for processing
• Tomakebreadcrumbs,breakbreadintopiecesbeforeprocessing.
• Tocrumblebiscuitsorcrackersforuseincakesorpiecrusts,breaktheminto
pieces before processing into crumbs.
• Cut vegetables into 1” chunks before processing to ensure consistent chopping
results.

Using the High Speed Blending and Mixing System
1. Placethepowerbaseonaat,level,stablesurface.Ensuretheproductis
unplugged from the electrical outlet.
2. Fill the small or large cup with the food you wish to chop or blend.
3. Ensurethatthegasket(siliconring),locatedontheinsidebottomedgeoftheblade
assembly,isinplace.Thenscrewtheatbladeorcrossbladeassemblyclockwise
onto the top of the cup until secure.
4. Turn over the chopper/blender assembly so that the blades are on the bottom. Then
attach the assembled chopper by aligning the three tabs on the outside of the cup
with the three notches on the top inner edge of the power base.
5. Plug the product into an appropriate electrical outlet.
6. Tobeginprocessingfood,pressdownandturnthecupassemblycounterclockwise.
CAUTION:Topreventthemotorfromoverheating,limitcontinuousoperationto
5 seconds at a time.
7. Tostopprocessing,pressdownandturnthecupassemblyclockwise.Waituntil
the blades have stopped completely before lifting the cup from the power base.
8. Turnthecupassemblyover,unscrewthebladeassemblyandrinseitbrieyunder
thefaucet,takingcarewiththesharpblades.

CAUTION!
1. Topreventthemotorfromoverheating,donotoperateformorethan5seconds
continuously.
2. Whenblendingliquidingredients,donotllthecupstotheirmaximumcapacityto
avoidspillageandpossibledamageorinjury.Werecommendllingthecupsonly
to 3/4 of their capacity.
3. The container/cup must be properly in place before operating the appliance.
9. Unplug the High Speed Blending and Mixing System from the electrical outlet when
youhavenishedprocessingandwheneveritisleftunattended.
10. Removetheblended/choppedfoodfromthecupor,toservemilkshakes,
smoothiesorotherdrinksstraightfromthecup,screwonthelipringfor
comfortable sipping.

Q: When blending fresh fruit juice, why do I end up having a lot of pulp and little
liquid?
A:Mostfruitisverybrous,whichmeansyouwillgetalotofpulp.Forbestresults,
combinedensefruitandvegetableswithjuicyones:orangewithcantaloupe,for
example,orcarrotwithwatermelon,bothgreatcombinations.
Q: Why does the High Speed Blending and Mixing System not crush ice, it just
spins it around?
A:Youmaybeoverloadingyourcup.Bigger,homemadeicecubesneedsomeroom
tomovearoundsotheycanreachtheblade.Smaller,lessdensecubeswillcrush
mucheasier.Forbestresults,addalittleliquidtotheice.
Q: Is it OK to put the High Speed Blending and Mixing System in the
dishwasher?
A:Yes,alloftheHighSpeedBlendingandMixingSystemaccessories(cups,blades,
lidsandthelipring)aredishwashersafe.However,thesilicongasketsontheblade
assembliescancomeloosesoalwaysensureafterwashingthattheyaretted
rmlyinplace.Theonlythingthatcannotgointhedishwasheristhepowerbase.
Never immerse it in water or other liquid!
Q: What do I do if the cup leaks while I am using the High Speed Blending and
Mixing System?
A: Your High Speed Blending and Mixing System is designed to provide a watertight
sealforthelifeoftheunit.Ifyoundthat,occasionally,liquidseepsoutwhile
youareusingyourHighSpeedBlendingandMixingSystem,checktomakesure
thatthebladeassemblyhasbeenscrewedtightlyontothecup.Andifitisrmly
fastened,checkwhetherthesilicongasketismissing.Aclearsilicongasketlinesthe
insiderimofeachbladeassembly.Occasionally,itwillfalloutinthedishwasheror
sink. Check to ensure that the gasket is in the blade assembly.

• Always wash soiled parts immediately after use for easier cleaning. Letting food dry
onthebladeassemblywillmakecleaningmoredifcult.
• Washallpartsexceptthepowerbaseinwarm,soapywater;rinse,anddry
thoroughly(orwashtheminadishwasheronthetoprack).
• Asthesealsonthebladescancomelooseafterwashing,alwaysensurethesilicon
gasketsarettedrmlyintoplaceaftereachcleaning.
• Clean the power base by wiping it with a damp cloth. Remove any stubborn spots by
rubbing with a damp cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.
• Toavoiddamagingtheproduct,donotuseabrasivecleanersorscouringpadsto
clean any parts of the product.
• Whenallpartsarecompletelydry,reassembletheproductbeforestoringtheproduct
inacool,dryplace,outofchildren’sreach.
• This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Only have the unit serviced by
qualiedservicepersonnel.

1 scoop strawberry ice-cream
1/8 cup chocolate syrup
2 tbsp sugar
1/2cupstrongcoffee(FrenchorItalianroast)
1/2 cup ice cubes
2ripestrawberries(optional)
Whippedcream(optional)
Placeice-cream,syrupandsugarintothelargecupwiththecrossbladeassemblyand
blend for a few seconds.
Addthecoffeeandicecubesandblenduntiltheiceiscrushednelyandall
ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Pourthefrappeintochilledglasses,garnishandenjoy.
Optional garnish: Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a fresh strawberry slice.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie
1handfulstrawberries,freshorfrozen
1banana,peeledandsliced
1 cup ice cubes
1 splash of orange juice
Reserve one strawberry and place all remaining ingredients into the large cup with the
cross blade assembly.
Blend for a few seconds until smooth.

1/4 cup Italian dressing
Place all ingredients into the large cup with cross blade assembly and blend for
5seconds.Removethecupfromthepowerbase,coverwithastoragelid(orcling
wrap)andchilluntilreadytoserve.
Basil Pesto
2 cups packed fresh basil leaves
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup pine nuts
2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
Saltandfreshlygroundpepper,totaste
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Combinethebasil,garlicandpinenutsintothelargecupwithcrossbladeassembly
and pulse until coarsely chopped. Add 1/2 cup of the oil and process until fully
incorporated and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Ifusingimmediately,addalltheremainingoilandpulseuntilsmooth.Transferthe
pesto to a large serving bowl and mix in the cheese.
