Read this manual thoroughly before rst use, even if you are familiar with
this type of product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk
of re, electric shock and injury when correctly followed. If applicable, pass
these instructions on to the next owner of the appliance. Always follow basic
safety precautions and accident prevention measures when using an electrical
appliance, including the following:

Definitions
Whenever used, the following identify safety and property damage messages and designate a lever of
hazard seriousness
- This is the safety alert symbol. It alerts you to potential personal injury hazards. Obey all safety
messages that follow this symbol to avoid possible injury or death.
DANGER - Indicates an imminently hazardous situation, which if not avoided, will result in death or serious
injury. Usage of this signal work is limited to the most extreme situations.
WARNING - Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION - Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, could result in minor/moderate injury.
NOTICE - Addresses practices not related to personal injury, such as product and/or property damage.
Electrical safety and cord handling
• Make sure that your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the voltage
stated on the appliance rating label and that your outlet is properly grounded.
• Toprotectagainstreandelectricshock,donotimmersethecord,plugorthe
power base in water or other liquid.
• Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
• Do not spill liquids into the power base.

• Takecarewhenhandlingthesharpcuttingblades,whenemptyingthecupand
during cleaning and storage.
• Toavoidseriousinjuryandproductdamage,donottouchmovingparts(e.g.,the
blades)whiletheproductisinuse.Alwayskeephandsandutensilsawayfromthe
moving blades while operating the product.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.
• WARNING: Do not blend hot liquids!
• Donotusechemical,steelwoolorabrasivecleanerstocleantheunit,asthesewill
scratch the plastic surface.
• Theunithasnouser-serviceablepartscontainedwithin.Donotattempttorepair,
disassemble or modify the appliance.
• WARNING: This product is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
theother)toreducetheriskofelectricshock.Thisplugwilltintoa
polarizedoutletonlyoneway.Iftheplugdoesnottfullyintheoutlet,
reverse the plug. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the
polarized plug. Do not alter the plug. If you cannot insert the plug into
theelectricaloutlet,contactaqualiedelectrician.Donotattemptto
modify the plug in any way.
• This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of
reach of children.
• Appliancescanbeusedbypersonswithreducedphysical,sensoryormetal

Features
• The compact power base operates as soon as the blending assembly is pushed
down and turned counterclockwise.
• The High Speed Blending and Mixing System comes with two blade assemblies for
fastandefcientchoppingandblending.Bothbladesaremadeofstainlesssteel,so
they are dishwasher safe.
• The cross blade assembly is suitable for chopping and grating foods such as
vegetables,onions,cheeseandmeat,andforjuicingandblendingdrinks.Thecross
bladeassemblyissuitableforchoppingandgratingfoodssuchasvegetables,
onions,cheeseandmeat,andforjuicingandblendingdrinks.Themaximumvolume
of meat loading is 70g.
• Theatbladeassemblyissuitableforwhippingcreamandgrindinghardfoodssuch
as coffee beans and spices.
• Thesmallcupsareidealforchoppingandmixingdipsandpartyfoods,grating
cheese or blending smaller quantities of steamed fruit or vegetables for baby food.
• The large cups are ideal for blending milk or fruit-based drinks or individual portions
of smooth vegetable soup.
• A number of accessories make the appliance even more versatile.
• Usetheshakerlidforservingfoodyougratedinthesmallcup,suchasparmesan
cheese or ground spices.
NOTE:Donotusethecupsforstorageoffoodformorethanoneday(24hours).
For long time storage please transfer the food to a proper storage product.
• Screw the lip ring onto the blending cup for comfortable sipping and serve
milkshakes or smoothies straight from the blending cup.
• The cups are dishwasher safe.

Getting Started
Before rst use
• Unpack the appliance but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure
your new High Speed Blending and Mixing System is undamaged and in good
working order. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young
children,soensureallpackagingmaterialsareoutoftheirreach.
• Unwind the cord to its full length and inspect it for damage. Do not use the appliance
if the appliance or its cord have been damaged or are not working properly.
• Read this manual to familiarise yourself with all the parts and operating principles
of the appliance. Pay particular attention to the safety instructions on the previous
pages.
• Make sure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply.
• Disassemble the appliance and wash all parts except the power base with a soft
cloth or sponge in warm water and a little dish washing detergent to remove any
dust or other remnants from the manufacturing process. Rinse with clean water and
dry thoroughly.
CAUTION!
• Takecarewhenassembling,disassembling,cleaningandstoringtheHighSpeed
Blending and Mixing System. The blades are very sharp: handle with extreme
care!
• Always make sure the product is unplugged from the wall outlet before assembling
it.
• Beforeoperation,alwaysensurethatthesilicongasket,locatedontheinside
bottomedgeofthebladeassembly,issecurelyinplace.
Preparing food for processing
• Tomakebreadcrumbs,breakbreadintopiecesbeforeprocessing.
• Tocrumblebiscuitsorcrackersforuseincakesorpiecrusts,breaktheminto
pieces before processing into crumbs.
• Cut vegetables into 1” chunks before processing to ensure consistent chopping
results.

Using the High Speed Blending and Mixing System
1. Placethepowerbaseonaat,level,stablesurface.Ensuretheproductis
unplugged from the electrical outlet.
2. Fill the small or large cup with the food you wish to chop or blend.
3. Ensurethatthegasket(siliconring),locatedontheinsidebottomedgeoftheblade
assembly,isinplace.Thenscrewtheatbladeorcrossbladeassemblyclockwise
onto the top of the cup until secure.
4. Turn over the chopper/blender assembly so that the blades are on the bottom. Then
attach the assembled chopper by aligning the three tabs on the outside of the cup
with the three notches on the top inner edge of the power base.
5. Plug the product into an appropriate electrical outlet.
6. Tobeginprocessingfood,pressdownandturnthecupassemblycounterclockwise.
CAUTION:Topreventthemotorfromoverheating,limitcontinuousoperationto
5 seconds at a time.
7. Tostopprocessing,pressdownandturnthecupassemblyclockwise.Waituntil
the blades have stopped completely before lifting the cup from the power base.
8. Turnthecupassemblyover,unscrewthebladeassemblyandrinseitbrieyunder
thefaucet,takingcarewiththesharpblades.
