Kivic SM HUD beams the various contents on the roads in front of the driver by
connecting with Android Smartphone and iPhone wirelessly. Hence, the driver can
check the information such as time, vehicle speed, message, incoming call and GPS
information while driving. Kivic SM HUD is a must-have item for safe driving to make
the driver focus on the front road without handling the Smartphone.
Also, Kivic SM HUD support interface for Backup Camera(Purchase separately) and
driver can monitor rear side of the car by Kivic SM HUD combiner.

Installation
The ideal location of Kivic SM HUD is on your
dashboard in the middle of the cluster panel.
For more secure installation, use wire clip.
In Kivic SM HUD, a small plastic lens called
“Combiner” is used instead of windshield
itself.
The distance between the display engine
and the combiner can be adjusted up to 30
mm. When the distance is adjusted to the
shortest, the driver’s eye have to be adjusted
more to the short distance.
Kivic SM HUD support Backup camera interface. Backup camera can be separately
purchased and be connected with Backup camera interface in Kivic SM HUD.

Using Kivic SM HUD with App
Search “Kivic HUD” in iPhone “App Store” or Google “Play Store” and Install “Kivic HUD”
App on your smartphone. Then the App will be created on your smartphone screen.

In order to make wireless screen mirroring/casting from your smartphone to Kivic SM
HUD, your smartphone should support Airplay Mirroring.
Turn on “Bluetooth” on your iPhone and activate “HUD Control” App. Run 1) and 2)
in order. Then “HUD Control” App screen changes as shown below in 3).
The “noti󽗉cation mode” is displayed on the HUD combiner.
In case displaying the same screen of iPhone on the HUD combiner, mirroring of
iPhone onto HUD combiner is necessary.
In case using Bluetooth audio embedded in car or standalone Bluetooth speaker, activate “BT Sound”
on the screen (refer article 3).

Upon connecting mirroring between iPhone and HUD, sound can be heard with
Bluetooth audio embedded in car or with a standalone Bluetooth speaker.

In case of Android smartphone with OS version is higher than 5.0, follow the
procedures 1)~3) and the same screen on smartphone is displayed on the HUD
combiner.
Run 1) and 2) in order, then “HUD Control” App screen changes as shown below
in 3) within ten seconds with vibration sound. The same screen on smartphone is
displayed on the HUD combiner.
In case user prefers “notification mode” screen on the combiner, please turn off
“KIVIC CAST” button. For using Mirroring, please do “KIVIC CAST” mode ON.
Settings → Connections → Mobile hotspot and tethering → Mobile hotspot
Choose “Allowed devices” and turn o󽗈 “Allowed devices only”

Kivic SM HUD displays various types of information from your smartphone, such as
OS mode of your smartphone, time, speed, and notification as below. All the data
displayed on HUD screen is serviced via BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy).
Also Kivic SM HUD basically o󽗈ers wireless screen mirroring/casting through mobile
hotspot. By using screen mirroring/casting feature of Kivic SM HUD, you can use any
navigation App on your HUD screen.
