Thank you for choosing the KODA iD811Universal Docking Station. Please read this manual carefully and follow the
safety instructions. Please note: all technical data in the manual has been compiled and arranged with the greatest
care, and reproduced under the most effective measures of control. However, we cannot exclude the fact that it may
contain mistakes. For this reason, we can offer no guarantee nor accept legal responsibility or liability for any
consequences resulting from erroneous information.
SAFETY NOTICE AND INTENDED USE
Important Safety Instructions
• Before you use this device for the first time, please read the corresponding notes in this manual even if you are
familiar with handling electronic devices!
• Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference! If you sell or pass these devices on to another person, it is
imperative that you also hand over this manual!
• Do not allow children to play with electrical devices when not under supervision. Children may not be aware of
the presence of potential risks!
• Install the cables in a safe way! Avoid tripping over them!
• Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or place it near sources of heat!
• Protect the cables and devices from dust, dirt and abrasive liquids!
• The equipment and cables must not be splashed by water. Do not place any recipients containing liquids (such
as vases or beverages) onto or next to the devices!
• No fire sources (such as candles) should be placed onto or next to the device!
• The wall outlet must be within easy reach and next to the place of use. Only use the supplied power adapter
TARGA Model KSAFC1200050W1UK. Do not place heavy objects on the cable or power supply. Position the cable
so that it cannot obstruct or catch anyone. Always make sure there is sufficient ventilation of the power adapter.
• Before stormy weather when there is the danger of lightning, disconnect the device from the power supply.
• Never open the casing of the device, of the power adapter or other accessories: there are no serviceable parts! If
the casing is opened, your life is in danger due to electric shock. Do not use the device if the casing is damaged.
If this happens, it must first be examined by a technical expert. If you notice any smoke, unusual noise or strange
smells, switch off the device immediately and pull the plug from the power supply. Contact customer service. It
is very dangerous to continue using this device under these conditions. Disconnect the power supply immediately
if liquid gets into the device and seek the help of customer service or a technical expert.
• WARNING: Notice on Mains Disconnection
In order to completely disconnect the device from the mains, the power plug must be pulled out from the wall
outlet. For this reason, the device should be positioned in a way that assures unobstructed access to the power
socket so that the power plug can be immediately pulled out in an emergency situation. To avoid the danger of
fire if the device is not going to be used for a long while (eg. during holidays), it should always be disconnected
from the power socket.
• Warning! Do not expose batteries to heat or fire. Do not short-circuit the batteries, disassemble them or try to
recharge them. They may explode and cause serious injury. Store batteries out of children's reach. If batteries are
swallowed, there is the danger of choking or poisoning.

Intended Use
The KODA iD811 Universal Docking Station may only be used with the provided connectors. The product should
only be used indoors and in dry areas. The device is only for private use. It is not destined for industrial use. Targa
accepts no liability for damages caused by the non-intended use of the KODA iD811 Universal Docking Station.
OPERATING NOTICE
With the KODA iD811 Universal Docking Station you can transform your iPod into a Multimedia Center. Use the
Universal Docking Station to recharge the iPod rechargeable battery, exchange data and playback music or videos
via your connected audio device.

Selecting a Docking Adapter
Several adapters for different iPods are
delivered with your KODA iD811 Universal
Docking Station. Choose the suitable
adapter for your iPod and plug it into your
docking station port. You can then install
your iPod.
Connecting the Device
• Connect the supplied power adapter (model KSAFC1200050W1UK) to the KODA iD811 Universal Docking Station
and the mains.
• To display images or videos on the TV device, enable the TV-OUT function on your iPod.
• To view images on the TV device, press "ENTER" twice on the remote control after you have opened the photo
library on the iPod.
• Press and hold down the "Play" button on the remote control to stop the playback.
• Press the "Power" button on the remote control to stop playback and power off the docking station. After powering
up again you will find the device in playback mode.

Downloading and Synchronizing the iPod on your Computer
• Power on the computer (the current version of the iPod software must be installed).
• Connect the USB port of the computer to the USB port of the docking station with a standard USB cable (not
supplied).
• Place the iPod in the docking station.
Removing the Docking Station from the Computer
Please do the following:
• Do not remove the iPod from the docking station while you synchronize the data. You must stop the device in the
operating system of the computer before you remove the iPod.
• Double-click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the Windows task bar.
• The "Safely Add/Remove Hardware" menu appears.
• Select the docking station and press "Stop", then confirm with "OK".
• If the message "The USB Mass Storage Device can now be safely removed from the system" appears, confirm
with "OK".
Charging the iPod with the Power Adapter
• Connect the supplied power adapter (model KSAFC1200050W1UK) to the KODA iD811 Universal Docking Station
and the mains.
• Place the iPod in the docking station
• The iPod rechargeable battery will be charged.
Changing the Battery in the Remote Control
Change the battery in the remote control when it no longer responds or its range is
reduced. (usually after one or two years' use). Only use lithium battery model CR2025,
3V. Check the polarity of the battery. The positive pole (+) is shown on the back of the
cover of the remote control.
OPERATING THE DEVICE
Image and Film Display
• Connect to the mains and place the iPod in the docking station.
• Connect the RCA Audio / Video cable (yellow, white and red plugs) to the docking
station (yellow, white and red sockets) and TV device. Make sure that the colors of
the connectors match.
• Press the "Power" button on the remote control to power on the docking station.
• Navigate with the "< and > and Enter" buttons on the remote control to start viewing
images or video playback.
• Warning: The preview function (THUMBNAIL) of your iPod is not supported.
Music Playback
• Connect to the mains and place the iPod in the docking station.
• Connect the RCA Audio cable (white and red plug) to the docking station (white and
red sockets) and the audio device.
• Press the "Power" button on the remote control to power on the docking station.
Power on the audio device and enable the corresponding input on the audio device.
• Start playback with the remote control to play music via your audio device.
Please note that playback is not possible with a USB connection of the docking
station!

Previous / Backwards Skip title backwards, keep button pressed for fast backwards (audio only)
Volume up (+) / Volume down (-) Adjust volume of docking station (iPod volume is not adjusted)
TROUBLESHOOTING
If any malfunction occurs, immediately shut down the device and check with that noted in the following table. If the
problem persists, please contact the TARGA Hotline.
1. Image display cannot be started with the remote control.
You cannot start image display directly with the remote control. You must start image display using the switch of
the iPod. You can then use the remote control to operate the image display. For more information concerning the
iPod, please see the iPod documentation.
2. The remote control doesn't respond.
So that the remote control can be used optimally, use only the latest software for your iPod and/or computer. The
latest software can be found on the iPod website. If these measures do not help, remove the power cable from the
docking station for approximately one minute and then connect it again. This will reset your system.
3. No sound.
Check that the cable connections are correctly connected to the device.
Check that the iPod is correctly positioned in the docking station.
Check whether the iPod is set to "Playback".
Check that the connected audio device is powered on, that the correct source has been selected and that the volume
of the audio device is properly adjusted.

4. The iPod rechargeable battery doesn't charge up in the docking station.
Check that the iPod is correctly positioned in the docking station.
Check that the mains cable is correctly inserted into the docking station.
Check that the power adapter is correctly inserted into the wall outlet.
Check that the USB cable is correctly inserted into the docking station.
Check that the USB cable is correctly inserted in the computer.
5. The remote control doesn't function.
Check that the iPod is correctly positioned in the docking station.
Try to use the remote control in different positions. Check that the direct signal path of the remote control (infrared)
to the docking station is not blocked.
6. WARNING: To completely switch off the KODA iD811 Universal Docking Station, remove the iPod and unplug the
power cord.

Conformity
This device has been tested for compliance with the basic and other relevant requirements of the
EMC Directive 89/336/EEC and the Low Voltage Directive 72/23/EWG.
Disposal
The European Directive 2002/96/EC applies to this product. All electric and electronic devices must
be disposed of separately from household waste at established bodies. Avoid hazards to the
environment and dangers to your personal health by disposing of the device properly. For further
information about proper disposal, contact your local government, disposal bodies or the shop
where you bought the device.
Disposal of Batteries
Batteries containing heavy metals must not be thrown into the domestic waste. You can return them to your dealer,
manufacturer or a representative for correct recycling or disposal free of charge.

have packaged the unit safe for transport and in plain packaging, please send it for warranty
processing, with the RMA noted on the outside of the package, to the address given to you

Bedankt dat u hebt gekozen voor het KODA iD811 universeel dockingstation. Lees deze handleiding aandachtig door
en respecteer de veiligheidsinstructies. Opmerking: alle technische gegevens in de handleiding zijn met de grootst
mogelijke zorg verzameld en samengebracht en met de hoogst mogelijke controlemaatregelen gereproduceerd. We
kunnen echter niet garanderen dat ze geen fouten bevatten. Daarom wordt er geen garantie gegeven, noch
verantwoordelijkheid of aansprakelijkheid aanvaard voor de gevolgen van foutieve informatie.
VEILIGHEIDSWAARSCHUWINGEN EN BEOOGD GEBRUIK
Belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies
• Lees, voordat u het apparaat voor de eerste keer gebruikt, de betreffende opmerkingen in deze handleiding, zelfs
als u bekend bent met de bediening van elektronische apparatuur.
• Bewaar deze handleiding op een veilige plaats, zodat u deze later kunt raadplegen. Als u dit apparaat verkoopt of
aan iemand anders geeft, moet u hem of haar ook deze handleiding verstrekken.
• Laat kinderen niet zonder toezicht met elektrische apparaten spelen. Kinderen zijn zich mogelijk niet bewust van
de risico's.
• Installeer de kabels op een veilige wijze. Zorg dat u er niet over kunt struikelen.
• Stel het apparaat niet bloot aan direct zonlicht en plaats dit niet in de buurt van warmtebronnen.
• Bescherm de kabels en het apparaat tegen stof, vuil en agressieve vloeistoffen.
• Er mag geen water op het apparaat en de kabels terechtkomen. Plaats geen met vloeistof gevulde voorwerpen
(zoals vazen of glazen) op of naast het apparaat.
• Plaats geen brandende voorwerpen (zoals kaarsen) op of naast het apparaat.
• Het stopcontact moet zich in de buurt van het apparaat bevinden en gemakkelijk bereikbaar zijn. Gebruik alleen
de meegeleverde netvoeding KSAFD1200120W1EU. Plaats geen zware voorwerpen op de kabel of voeding.
Installeer de kabel zodanig dat niemand er last van heeft of erover struikelt. Zorg altijd voor voldoende ventilatie
van de netvoeding.
• Haal de stekker van het apparaat uit het stopcontact als er onweer op komst is met kans op bliksem.
• Open nooit de behuizing van het apparaat, de netvoeding of andere accessoires: er bevinden zich in het product
geen onderdelen die door de gebruiker onderhouden kunnen worden. Als de behuizing is geopend, loopt u het
risico op elektrische schokken. Gebruik het apparaat niet als de behuizing is beschadigd. Als dit gebeurt, moet u
het apparaat laten nakijken door een technische deskundige. Als u merkt dat het apparaat rook, geur of vreemde
geluiden produceert, schakelt u het apparaat onmiddellijk uit en trekt u de stekker uit het stopcontact. Neem
contact op met de klantenservice. Het is zeer gevaarlijk om het apparaat in deze omstandigheden te blijven
gebruiken. Trek de stekker direct uit het stopcontact als er vloeistoffen in het apparaat zijn gekomen en roep de
hulp in van de klantenservice of een technische deskundige.
• WAARSCHUWING! Opmerking over loskoppeling van het elektriciteitsnet
Als u het apparaat volledig van het elektriciteitsnet wilt loskoppelen, trekt u de stekker uit het stopcontact. Hiertoe
moet het apparaat zo zijn opgesteld dat u vrij toegang hebt tot het stopcontact, zodat u de stekker er in
noodgevallen direct kunt uittrekken. Vermijd het risico op brand als u het apparaat langere tijd niet gebruikt
(bijvoorbeeld tijdens vakanties). Haal de stekker altijd uit het stopcontact.
• Waarschuwing! Stel de batterij niet bloot aan hitte of vuur. Sluit de batterijen niet kort, demonteer ze niet en
probeer ze niet opnieuw op te laden. Ze kunnen exploderen en ernstig letsel veroorzaken. Berg batterijen op buiten
het bereik van kinderen. Kinderen kunnen stikken of worden vergiftigd als batterijen per ongeluk worden ingeslikt.

Beoogd gebruik
Het KODA iD811 universeel dockingstation mag alleen worden gebruikt met de meegeleverde kabels. Het product
mag alleen binnenshuis en in droge ruimten worden gebruikt. Het apparaat is alleen bestemd voor privé-gebruik.
Het is niet bestemd voor industrieel gebruik. Targa aanvaardt geen aansprakelijkheid voor schade die voortvloeit uit
onbedoeld gebruik van het KODA iD811 universeel dockingstation.
INSTALLATIEOPMERKINGEN
Met het KODA iD811 universeel dockingstation kunt u uw iPod veranderen in een multimediacentrum. U kunt het
universele dockingstation gebruiken om de oplaadbare batterij van de iPod op te laden, gegevens uit te wisselen en
muziek of video af te spelen via een aangesloten audioapparaat.
De inhoud van het pakket
Een dockingadapter selecteren
Er worden diverse adapters voor
verschillende iPods bij het KODA
iD811 universeel dockingstation
geleverd. Kies de juiste adapter voor
uw iPod en steek deze in de poort van
het dockingstation. Vervolgens kunt u
de iPod installeren.
Het apparaat aansluiten
• Sluit de meegeleverde netvoeding (model KSAFD1200120W1EU) aan op het KODA iD811 universeel
dockingstation en het stopcontact.
• Als u foto's of video op de tv wilt weergeven, schakelt u de TV-OUT-functie van de iPod in.
• Als u foto's op de tv wilt weergeven, drukt u tweemaal op ENTER op de afstandsbediening nadat u de
fotobibliotheek op de iPod hebt geopend.
• Houd de afspeelknop op de afstandsbediening ingedrukt om de weergave te stoppen.
• Druk op de aan/uit-knop op de afstandsbediening om de weergave te stoppen en het dockingstation uit te
schakelen. Als u het dockingstation opnieuw aanzet, staat het apparaat in de weergavemodus.

Gegevens downloaden en de iPod synchroniseren met uw computer
• Zet de computer aan (de huidige versie van de iPod-software moet zijn geïnstalleerd).
• Verbind de USB-poort van de computer met de USB-poort van het dockingstation met een standaard USB-kabel
(niet meegeleverd).
• Plaats de iPod in het dockingstation.
Het dockingstation uit de computer verwijderen
Doe het volgende:
• Verwijder de iPod niet uit het dockingstation terwijl u de gegevens synchroniseert. U moet het apparaat stoppen
via het besturingssysteem van de computer voordat u de iPod verwijdert.
• Dubbelklik op het pictogram 'Hardware veilig verwijderen' op de Windows-taakbalk.
• Het menu 'Hardware veilig toevoegen/verwijderen' verschijnt.
• Selecteer het dockingstation en klik op 'Stoppen'. Bevestig de bewerking met OK.
• Als het bericht 'Het USB-apparaat voor massaopslag kan nu veilig uit het systeem worden verwijderd' wordt
weergegeven, bevestigt u dit met 'OK'.
De iPod opladen met de netvoeding
• Sluit de meegeleverde netvoeding (model KSAFD1200120W1EU) aan op het KODA iD811 universeel
dockingstation en het stopcontact.
• Plaats de iPod in het dockingstation.
• De oplaadbare batterij van de iPod wordt opgeladen.
De batterij in de afstandsbediening opladen
Laad de batterij in de afstandsbediening op als deze niet meer reageert of als het bereik
afneemt (gewoonlijk na één of twee jaar). Gebruik alleen de lithiumbatterij CR2025, 3
V. Controleer de polariteit van de batterij. De positieve pool (+) wordt aangegeven op
de achterkant van het klepje van de afstandsbediening.
HET APPARAAT BEDIENEN
Foto's en film weergeven
• Sluit het apparaat aan op het stopcontact en plaats de iPod in het dockingstation.
• Sluit de RCA-audio/videokabel (gele, witte en rode plug) aan op het dockingstation
(gele, witte en rode poort) en op de tv. Zorg dat de kleuren van de aansluitingen
overeenkomen.
• Druk op de aan/uit-knop op de afstandsbediening om het dockingstation aan te
zetten.
• Gebruik de knoppen <, > en Enter op de afstandsbediening om foto's weer te geven
of de video te starten.
• Waarschuwing: de voorbeeldfunctie (THUMBNAIL) van uw iPod wordt niet
ondersteund.
Muziek afspelen
• Sluit het apparaat aan op het stopcontact en plaats de iPod in het dockingstation.
• Sluit de RCA-audiokabel (witte en rode plug) aan op het dockingstation (witte en
rode poort) en op het audioapparaat. Zorg dat de kleuren van de aansluitingen
overeenkomen.
• Druk op de aan/uit-knop op de afstandsbediening om het dockingstation aan te
zetten. Zet het audioapparaat aan en selecteer het juiste invoersignaal.
• Start de weergave met de afstandsbediening om de muziek af te spelen via het
audioapparaat.
Denk eraan dat afspelen niet mogelijk is via de USB-aansluiting van het
dockingstation!

PROBLEMEN OPLOSSEN
Als er zich een fout voordoet, zet u het apparaat direct uit en controleert u wat er aan de hand is volgens de
onderstaande tabel. Als het probleem zich blijft voordoen, neemt u contact op met de Targa hotline.
1. Beeldweergave kan niet worden gestart met de afstandsbediening.
U kunt de beeldweergave niet starten met de afstandsbediening. U moet de beeldweergave starten met de schakelaar
op de iPod. Vervolgens kunt u de weergave regelen met de afstandsbediening. Raadpleeg de documentatie van de
iPod voor meer informatie over de iPod.
2. De afstandsbediening reageert niet.
Om te zorgen dat de afstandsbediening optimaal kan worden gebruikt, dient u alleen de nieuwste software voor uw
iPod en computer te gebruiken. U vindt de nieuwste software op de iPod-website. Als deze maatregelen niet helpen,
haalt u het netsnoer ongeveer één minuut uit het dockingstation en sluit u het opnieuw aan. Het systeem wordt
hierdoor opnieuw ingesteld.
3. Geen geluid.
Controleer of de kabels correct zijn aangesloten op het apparaat.
Controleer of de iPod correct in het dockingstation is geplaatst.
Controleer of de iPod is ingesteld op afspelen.
Controleer of het aangesloten audioapparaat aanstaat, of de juiste bron is geselecteerd en of het volume van het
audioapparaat correct is ingesteld.

4. De oplaadbare batterij van de iPod wordt niet opgeladen in het dockingstation.
Controleer of de iPod correct in het dockingstation is geplaatst.
Controleer of het netsnoer correct op het dockingstation is aangesloten.
Controleer of de netvoeding correct in het stopcontact is geplaatst.
Controleer of de USB-kabel correct op het dockingstation is aangesloten.
Controleer of de USB-kabel correct op de computer is aangesloten.
5. De afstandsbediening werkt niet.
Controleer of de iPod correct in het dockingstation is geplaatst.
Probeer de afstandsbediening op verschillende posities te gebruiken. Helder licht en andere omstandigheden kunnen
de werking verstoren.
Controleer of het directe signaalpad van de afstandsbediening (infrarood) naar het dockingstation niet is
geblokkeerd.
6. WAARSCHUWING! Als u het KODA iD811 universeel dockingstation wilt uitschakelen, verwijdert u de iPod en
haalt u het netsnoer uit het stopcontact.

Conformiteit
Dit apparaat is getest en uit de tests is gebleken dat dit voldoet aan de basisvereisten en andere
relevante vereisten van EMC-richtlijn 89/336/EEC en de laagspanningsrichtlijn 72/23/EWG.
Afvalverwijdering
De Europese richtlijn 2002/96/EC is van toepassing op dit product. Alle elektrische en elektronische
apparaten moeten worden gescheiden van huishoudelijk afval en bij de juiste
afvalverwerkingsinstantie worden ingeleverd. Voorkom risico's voor het milieu en uw eigen
gezondheid door het apparaat op de juiste manier als afval te verwerken. Voor meer informatie over
een juiste afvalverwerking neemt u contact op met de plaatselijke overheid, de gemeentereiniging
of de winkel waar u het apparaat het gekocht.
Verwerking van batterijen
Batterijen die zware metalen bevatten mogen niet in de gewone vuilnisbak worden gegooid. U kunt ze terugbrengen
naar de leverancier, de fabrikant of een vertegenwoordiger, zodat deze zonder kosten correct gerecycled en
verwijderd kunnen worden.
