When operating this unit, please observe the following basic safety procedures:
• Use only the AC/DC adapter provided with the unit. The use of other AC/DC
adapters may result in electrical shock, fire, or cause serious damage to the unit.
• Do not use the unit if the power cord is damaged or if the plug socket contact is
loose. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electrical shock or fire.
• Do not use this unit in areas where it may be exposed to water or any other liquids.
• Unplug the unit from the wall outlet before cleaning.
• To reduce the risk or electrical shock, do not disassemble this product. Opening or
removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks. Incorrect
reassembly can cause electrical shock when the unit is used again.
• When service or repair is required, take the unit to a qualified service technician.
• Do not operate the unit in areas with high temperatures or high humidity as these
conditions may prevent it from working properly.
• When not in use for an extended period of time, remove the power plug from the
wall outlet.

2.1 Powering Up
Connect the AC/DC adapter to the Kolibri Bishop and plug the adapter plug into the power
outlet. Turn the Kolibri Bishop on by ipping the ON/OFF switch on the rear of the unit.
The unit will beep and conduct a short self-test. The screen will display the default value
screen, indicating it is ready to operate. The value mode can be changed to count mode
by pressing the FUNC button.
2.2 Inserting the Bill
To ensure top performance, we have listed the following steps on proper use of the
Kolbri Bishop:
I. Avoid inserting a bill that is:
• Crumpled
• Torn
• Heavily worn
• Covered with adhesive
• Stapled
• Wet or heavily stained
II. Ensure the bill is flat and corners
are not folded (the Bishop checks
the size of a bill and may reject a
bill that is folded or has folded corners).
III. Insert the bill face up, all the way
to the left side and straight,
exactly as shown.

3.1 Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure accurate operation of the unit and will prolong its
service life. Use an air duster to remove dust from the sensors. Insert approximately
¹/4of an inch of the duster nozzle through the front bill insertion slot to blow away any
debris that may have accumulated inside the unit.
Do not insert the nozzle more than ¹/4of an inch into the unit as it may damage the
sensor mechanisms inside the Kolibri Bishop unit.

3.3 Warranty
The Bishop is warrantied for a period of oner year from the date of purchase. In
most cases a unit malfunction can easily be corrected by performing a thorough
cleaning.
• Customer should allow the manufacturer the time an opportunity to test and
diagnose the machine to determine warranty and non-warranty claims.
• After receiving and unpacking the unit, customer shall keep the package and
its user manual. Warranties are canceled in the event the device is transported
in a non-original packaging or operation/maintenance conditions are not met.
• Company is not responsible for unit malfunction due o improper maintenance,
storage, or transportation including, but not limited to mechanical damage.
• Manufacturer is entitled to introduce updated software, not described in the
current user manual.
Non-Warranty Service:
The manufacturer can perform maintenance and cleaning for an extra fee. For a
non-warranty repair or maintenance quotation, contact our Technical Support team.
Warranty service is not available int he following cases:
• Cleaning of the unit from dust and mud.
• Operation or maintenance rules requirements set in the user manual are not met.
• There is mechanical damage to the unit or the sealed portion of the unit have
been opened or tampered with.
• There are foreign objects or liquid inside the unit.
The warranty does not cover shipping to Kolibri’s technical service center.
