Assembly Time: Approximately 45 minutes
Note: The 26-3300 kit comes mostly assembled from the factory. Some assembly is required.
Important: Your Kolpin RZR XP 1000 Quick-Mount Winch Kit is exclusively designed or your vehicle. Please read the
installation instructions thoroughly be ore beginning. Installation is easier i the vehicle is clean and ree o debris. For
your sa ety, and to ensure a satis actory installation, per orm all installation steps correctly in the sequence shown.
Additional time may be required to accommodate other installed accessories.
RZR PREPARATION:
1. Shi t vehicle transmission into “PARK”. Turn ignition
key to “OFF” position and remove rom vehicle ignition.
2. Remove driver seat by pulling strap to disengage seat.
Tilt orward and remove rom vehicle. (See illustration
1-1).
3. Disconnect black negative (-) cable rom battery irst,
then disconnect red positive (+) cable rom battery.
(See illustration 1-2).
4. Remove the ront lower ascia by removing the two
screws and two bolts shown. (See illustration 1-3).
5. Remove the upper ascia plastic cover that surrounds
lower portion o ront bumper by removing the plastic
push rivets rom each side. Removal allows easier
access install winch assembly to vehicle. Save parts or
reinstall later. (See illustrations 1-3 and 1-4).

RZR PREPARATION (continued):
6. Remove the ront drive protection plate and tow strap
by removing the our bolts. (See illustration 1-5).
7. Remove the center hood by removing the two screws
and remove hood towards the rear. Save parts or
reinstall later. (See illustration 1-6).
8. Remove the center instrument panel by removing the
two screws as shown. Li t up and remove center
instrument panel. Save parts or reinstall later. (See
illustration 1-7).
9. Remove the RZR winch assembly rom the packaging.
RZR WINCH INSTALLATION:

10. Locate the red and black wires (items #10 and #11) on
the winch assembly. I they are secured in a bundle with
plastic tie, cut the tie to allow the cables to be routed
under right side bumper as shown below.

11. Locate the upper winch mounting holes on vehicle
rame and install two M10 bolts (item #26). Loosely
install bolts into rame leaving 4-5 threads exposed.
(See illustrations 1-8 and 1-9). Note, starting the
bolts halfway installed is needed for next step of
installing winch assembly.

12. While holding the winch, pull the harness
(item #10 and #11) o the winch through the
opening in the chassis, just above ront
gearcase. Pull the rest o the harness to the
le t side o the vehicle, in ront o the
suspension as shown. (See illustration 1-10).
13. Install winch assembly by hanging the key
holes o the mounting bracket (item #1) on
previously installed hal way M10 bolts (item
#26) as shown. (See illustrations 1-11, 1-12
and 1-18). Note, do not tighten fasteners at
this step.
14. Install and hand tighten the two lower M10
bolts (item #26) thru the mounting bracket
(item #1) and into the vehicle chassis. (See
illustrations 1-13 and 1-18). Note, do not tighten
fasteners at this step.
15. Pull the winch rope (item #7) thru the opening in the
top mounting bracket as shown. (See illustration
1-13).

16. Loosely install the two M10 carriage screws
(item #17) thru the rear side o the upper
bracket square holes as shown. (See
illustration 1-14).
17. Install lower mounting bracket plate (item
#27) below the winch. Make sure the tab on
the bottom o the plate its into the slot in
the ront chassis. The upper hole slots will
align with carriage screws and allow screws
to it thru acing towards ront. (See
illustrations 1-15 and 1-16).
18. Loosely install two M10 bolts (item #26) into
the lower holes. (See illustrations 1-15, 1-16
and 1-18). Note, do not tighten fasteners
at this step
19. Pull the winch rope thru the lower plate
opening as shown. (See illustration 1-15).

20. Install the roller airlead (item #13) onto the
carriage screws and asten using M10 locknuts
(item #18). (See illustrations 1-17 and 1-19).
Note, make sure that the bi er roller is
positioned on the bottom.
21. Tighten all M10 asteners to speci ication. (See
illustrations 1-17 and 1-18).
22. Route the synthetic rope cable thru the roller
airlead and attach the clevis hook (item #6) and
rubber bumper (item #14) onto the thimble end
as shown. (See illustration 1-9).

RZR POWER CABLE HARNESS ROUTING
INSTALLATION:
NOTE: See the Electrical Connections Reference Guide
section of the instruction manual for detailed photos of
each part and their respective connections.
23. Use edge clip (item #19) and attach to edge o radiator
mount. (See illustration 1-20). Note, do not close and
tighten plastic cable tie at this time.
24. Route red and black power cables (items #10 and #11)
rom winch assembly up through ront gearcase area,
thru edge clip cable tie (item #19) and up along radiator
le t side towards hood opening as shown. Use cable
ties (item #2) to secure the harness. (See illustrations
1-21, 1-22 and 1-23).
25. Continue routing red and black harness cables (items
#10 and #11) up and over the ront le t upper radiator
support as shown. Secure cable bundle with plastic
cable tie (item #2). (See illustration 1-22).
26. Route red and black cables down towards dash wall
grommet.

27. Route red and black cables through
the grommet in the ront loor panel
and up to the pulse bar area. Secure
wire bundle with plastic cable tie (item
#2) as shown. (See illustration 1-24).
28. Remove M6 nuts rom the negative
and positive Pulse bar stud terminals.
Save or reinstall later.
29. Install the winch red and black power cable
connections to the Polaris Pulse Bar
terminals with the two M6 nuts previously
removed. Tighten to speci ication.

RZR CORDED REMOTE SWITCH INSTALLATION:

Reference Guide section of the instruction manual for
detailed photos of each part and their respective
connections.
30. Install remote switch (item #22) on vehicle dash.
Locate the knock-out pattern inside the glove box and
knock-out center hole plug. (See illustrations 1-27).
Note, as alternate, the corded dash remote could
be mounted on any surface by drilling a 1” (2 mm)
diameter hole into the dash location. Drill two
holes for screws with /32” (4.0mm) drill bit over
embossed dots as shown in figures.
31. Feed the corded remote harness thru the large hole
and install the dash socket (item #22) using the
supplied M5 lat washers (item #25) and small screws
(item #24) into the dash as shown. (See illustration
1-28). Note, the screws have thread-forming feature
and will cut threads into plastic dash panel.
32. Torque screws to the speci ication listed, being care ul
not to overtighten.
33. From behind the dash, route the supplied vehicle
harness (item #22) through the grommet on the ront
panel and along same route o red and black power
cables towards winch contactor.
34. Plug the RZR Pulse accessory power harness into
the Pulse Bar as shown. The open end o the red
wire will plug into the 3-way accessory power
splitter harness (item #23). (See illustration 1-29).

RZR CORDED REMOTE SWITCH
INSTALLATION (continued):
35. Connect the red wire rom Corded Remote
harness (item #22) to Pulse Harness (item
#20) using the 3-way accessory splitter (item
#23). (See illustration 1-30). Note, the
power accessory splitter harness will
also be used to connect to the Dash
Mount switch.
36. Connect the white harness connector (item
#22) to the winch contactor connector as
shown. Access is gained by reaching thru
the ront le t wheel and above the ront
gearcase to reach white contactor
connector. Use cable ties (item #2) to secure
the harnesses. (See illustrations 1-10,1-23
and 1-31).
RZR DASH MOUNT SWITCH INSTALLATION:

37. Install dash mount switch (item #1) to desired location
on your dash. You can pop out the panel blank cover
since the vehicle has marked rectangular prede ined
switch location. (See illustrations 1-32 and 1-34). Note,
if you do not use pre-defined cutout, you can use
the cut-out dimensions shown below to cut-out the
switch location in your desired location. Illustration
1-33 is not to scale, use measuring tape to confirm
actual cutting.

38. Connect the dash mount switch (item #1) to the RZR
Vehicle Dash Switch Harness (item #21). Connect
green wire to the “Out” pin, red wire to the middle pin
and black wire to the “In” pin as shown. (See illustration
1-35).
39. Insert the dash switch harness and switch assembly
thru the panel hole as shown. The switch will clip into
the dash panel. (See illustrations 1-34 and 1-36).
40. From inside the dash, connect the red lead wire rom
dash switch harness into the Accessory Power Splitter
Harness (item #23) red wire receptacle, as mentioned
in previous step 35. Then route white connector end o
the RZR Vehicle Dash Switch Harness (item #21) along
the red and black power cables towards the winch pig-
tail (item #22) and the white connector will plug into the
winch contactor. (See illustrations 1-10, 1-23 and 1-31).

RZR FINAL INSPECTION:
41. Con irm that all wiring is correct.
42. Con irm that there are no exposed wires or terminals.
43. All loose wires need to be wrapped tight, and secured
away rom moving parts and heat sources.
RZR REINSTALLATION:
44. Reconnect the red (positive) and black (negative) ca-
bles to battery terminals at this time using original hard-
ware.
45. Re-install the seat.
46. Re-install the center hood.
47. Re-install the center instrument panel
48. Connect the corded winch remote switch (item #22) to
the dash socket.
49. With vehicle key in the ON position, check winch or
proper operation.

GEAR SELECTION:
Your winch is equipped with two di erent ger settings:
“FREE” and “LOCK”.
1. FREE: Used to rapidly extend the rope/cable ( aster than
when in the “LOCK” position).
2. LOCK: Used to recover the rope/cable.
To shi t between FREE and LOCK relieve all tension rom
the rope/cable, then rotate gear selector knob (located on
end o winch) clockwise to engage LOCK mode, or counter-
clockwise to engage FREE mode.
Note, see kit contents for replacement knob PN.
SWITCH OPERATION:
When properly installed, the handlebar switch allows you to
operate the winch while seated on the vehicle. Proper switch
operation is shown. (See illustration 1-42).

This warranty does not apply to parts that have been damaged by accident, alteration, abuse, improper maintenance, normal wear, or
other causes beyond the manu acturer’s control. In order to protect you and your ATV, certain parts o the winch/plow system and/or
hardware are designed to ail when the equipment is over-stressed. Parts that are lost due to loosening and improper maintenance
are not covered under warranty. This warranty does not cover removal or reinstallation labor ees o the winch/plow system and
related components.
Peripheral products such as engines, electric motors, and actuators may carry an original manu acturer’s warranty. Most hardware is
general in nature and is easily obtained locally. Be sure to replace with minimum metric class 8.8 speci ication.

TROUBLESHOOTING
I your winch is not unctioning properly, below is a short guide that can help you diagnose and correct the problem.
NOTE
For urther technical support, contact our help line at
1-877-956-5746.
Symptom Possible Causes Recommended Solution
Winch will not
operate
Contactor not receiving power Turn vehicle key on.
Connections between components not in
proper order
Check connections. Connect wired handlebar switch
connection rom vehicle main wire harness directly to
contactor to make sure a direct connection will operate the
winch. I connections are not in the order shown in the pictures
in the last page, the whole system may not unction or only
certain parts o it will unction.
Loose battery cable connections Tighten nuts on all cable connections.
Keyed power circuit (orange wires) not
properly powered
Check usebox or 10A accessory circuit. Check voltage in
certain places, especially orange wires coming out o the main
harness by the steering post.
Contactor mal unctioning
Tap contactor to loosen contacts. Apply 12 volts to coil
terminals directly. A clicking indicates proper activation.
De ective switch assembly Replace switch assembly.
De ective motor
Check or voltage at armature port with switch pressed. I
voltage is present, replace winch assembly.
Nested and bounded cable within winch
assembly
Move ree spool knob to the “ ree spool” position. Manually pull
cable out o winch until end is met and then re-spool cable
back into winch.
Water has entered motor
Allow to drain and dry. Run in short bursts without load until
completely dry.
Contactor powered, but not winch
I you can hear a clicking sound when you press the winch
control but the winch does not make any sounds, check the
connections between the winch and the contactor.
Winch not in proper gear
Move ree spool knob to the "locked spool" position, then
recheck. I problem persists, a quali ied technician needs to
check and repair.
Winch
operates too
slowly
Insu icient current or voltage
The battery is weak, recharge. Run winch with vehicle motor
running (battery should have a strong charge).
Loose or corroded battery cable
connections
Clean, tighten, or replace.
Winch
overheating
Winch running time too long Allow winch to cool down periodically.

Tap contactor to loosen contacts.
