Safety information
Risk of personal injury!
• Keep children away from the appliance and store it out of
the reach of children.
• This appliance contains a Class 2 laser. NEVER direct the
laser beam at people or animals.
• NEVER look directly into the laser. The laser can cause
serious eye damage.
• Do NOT direct the laser beam at strongly reflective materials.
Reflected laser beams are also dangerous.
• In the event of the batteries leaking acids, wear protective
gloves.
There is a risk of receiving chemical burns!
Beware of appliance damage!
• NEVER subject the appliance to rain. Do not use the appliance
in wet or moist environments.
• Do NOT use the appliance at locations that have a risk of fire
or explosion, e.g. close to flammable fluids or gases.
• All adjustments intended to increase the laser power are
forbidden.
• To avoid damage to the appliance, arrange for repairs to
be carried out only by our Customer Services Department
or qualified specialists.
• Regularly check the condition of the batteries. Leaking
battery acid can cause damage to the Laser Spirit Level.
• Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the Laser
Spirit Level for an extended period.
• Always change all batteries at the same time and
always use batteries of the same type.
• Clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
• No liabilty is accepted by the manufacturer for damage
resulting from improper manipulation of the laser and
the fine adjustment devices as well as for damages
resulting from non-compliance with the safety information.

and angle-marking of domestic building modifications.

Commissioning
Inserting the batteries
• Unscrew the battery compartment cover eby turning the
knurled screw of the Laser Spirit Level to the left.
• Insert two batteries of type AAA / LR03 / Micro as marked in
the battery compartment of the Laser Spirit Level.
• Close and firmly secure the battery compartment cover e.
Laser Spirit Level
Switch-on: Turn the ON/OFF switch until it engages at the rear.
Switch-off: Turn the ON/OFF switch until it engages at the front.
Tripod
• Open the tripod gso wide that the securing ring stouches
the rubber ring at the end of the column.
• Turn the securing ring sclockwise until it is tight.
• Loosen the locking lever d, release the legs of the tripod gand
extend them to the desired length.
To neutralise the condition of the surface on which it stands, the
tripod gcan be exactly aligned with the help of the integrated
spirit level fand by adjusting the length of the legs.
Notice: The water bubble must be located in the middle of the
circular marking.
• Secure the legs of the tripod with the locking lever d.
• Screw the levelling plate ionto the thread of the central
column hof the tripod g.
Adjustment
• Bring the levelling plate iinto a horizontal position by turning
the adjustment screws uand use of the adjustment spirit level t.
Notice: The water bubble of the spirit level tmust be located
between the two markings.
• Place the Laser Spirit Level in the mounting base jand fix it
firmly with the securing clamp k. If need be, correct the
adjustment.

• Loosen the securing screw 2!, then swivel the levelling plate
icomplete with the Laser Spirit Level through 90° y, by means
of the 360° angle scale.
• Readjust the horizontal by turning the adjustment screws u
and with use of the adjustment spirit level t. A readjustment
may be necessary after the return swivel.
Notice: The water bubble of the spirit level wmust also be
located between the two markings.
• On the competion of successful adjustment, the laser beam
is always at the same height when the Laser Spirit Level is
swivelled by means of the 360° angle scale y.
• Height adjustment is accomplished by turning the crank o
on the tripod.
Operation

Normal operation (Fig. 1)
This measuring method is suitable for indicating
measuring points.
• Switch on the laser of the beforehand adjusted Laser Spirit
Level by turning the ON/OFF switch .
• Using the point laser, mark the distant measuring point. With
the 360° rotatable levelling plate ian all-round marking is
possible at the same time.
90° Angle option (Fig. 2)
This measuring method is suitable for the marking of
vertical lines.
• Insert the laser 90° deflection attachment ;into the laser
optic rof the beforehand adjusted Laser Spirit Level.
• The exactly by 90° deflected point laser produces a
vertical reference level to the laser beam.

Line projection (Fig. 3)
This measuring method is especially helpful with for example the
hanging of pictures.
• Insert the laser line attachment 2) into the laser optic rof the
beforehand adjusted Laser Spirit Level.
• A line is then projected on to the wall, with which previously
determined point-markings can be connected.
Caution: Due to a broader spread there is a reduction in the
brightness of the laser beam.
Cleaning and Care
Caution!
Under no circumstance may the Laser Spirit Level be submersed
in water or other liquids.
Do not use aggressive detergents or solvents.
These could cause damage to the appliance, especially to the
lettering.
• Clean all components of the appliance with a moist cloth.
• Clean the laser optic rwith a soft brush.
Storage
• Always store the appliance components in the transport case.
• If the appliance is not intended to be used for an extended
period, remove the batteries from the
battery compartment and store them separately.

Disposal
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic
waste.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre
or at your community waste facility.
Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt,
consult your local disposal facility.
Disposing of batteries!
Do not dispose of the batteries with household waste. Each con-
sumer is legally obliged to dispose of batteries or rechargeable
batteries at a collecting point in his town / district or at a retail
company.
This obligation is intended to ensure that batteries are disposed
of in an environmentally safe fashion. Only dispose of batteries
when they are fully discharged.
Dispose of the packaging materials in an environmentally
responsible manner.
