XENON
LAMP
ATTENTION:
The
xenon
lamp
isa
highpressure
lamp.
Handle
it
with
care.
EXPLOSION
HAZARD!
The
lampprotectioncover
must
be
fittedbefore
working
on
or
around
the
lamp.
Wear
a
faceprotectionshield
while
fitting
the
lamp
protectioncover.
Procedures:
fS
-
disconnect
mains
cable
onthe
Instrument
-to
remove
the
rear
panel
unscrew
the
four
screws
(A).
Screw
one
into
(B)and
remove
the
rearpanelcarefully
by
pulling
onthe
screw
(B).
-
wearfaceprotection
remove
the
lamp
housing
by
screwing
outthe
screws
(C)
-
carefullyscrew
inthe
lamp
withprotective
cover,
anöde
(+)onthe
top,into
the
lamp
holder
Turn
the
centralscrew
(D)
with
thehex
wrench
so
that
the
glass
ridge
(E)onthe
lamp
points
tothe
right.Perform
a
coarse
positioning
ofthe
lamp
with
help
ofthe
table
(chap.
1.5.2)
-
Wind
the
cathodeconnection
cable
(K)
around
the
lamp
and
with
the
knurled
nut
clamp
it
onto
the
cathode
(-).
-
Remove
carefully
the
lamp
protectioncover
Screwdown
the
cover
tothe
lamp
housing.
Tighten
all4
screws
(C)
equally.
-

with
the
adjusting
screws

that
the
highest
light
intensity
is
seen
onthe
card.

SFM25isa
highperformanceSpectralfluorometer
to
measure
in
the
wavelength
ränge
of200- 800
nm.
It
is
controlled
by3
microprocessors
which
allow
simple
Operationover
the
keyboard
or
completeexternal
control.
The
flexible
conception
ofthe
Instrument
gives
numerous
expansion
possibilities.
Both
the
excitation-
and
emission
monochromator
are
equippedwithholographic
stigmatic
correctedblazedconcave
gratings
ina
Seya-Nomioka-arrangement.
The
spectral
bandwidth
ofthe
monochromators
is
switchable
from
10to15nm.
Slits
with
5 and10nm
bandwidth
are
available.
The
light
source
isa
150W
xenon
high
pressure
lamp.
The
lamp
house
is
sealed.
The
Standardversionincludes
a
referencebeamSystem.Thisprovideshigh
signal
stabilityevenwithtemporary
energy
variations
ofthe
lampcaused
by
movement
ofthe
are,
shimmering
oftheair
surrounding
the
lamp
or
other
thermal
effects.
The
referencedetector
isa
photodiode.
The
