2. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing KQQ T36S Mirror Dash Cam. This Dash Cam is a very elegant,
convenient, and durable multi-vehicle driving recorder.
This product provides high-quality image capture and irrefutable evidence for what goes on
from the perspective of your dashboard.
Compared with most dash cameras, this exclusive product design provides an elegant
appearance, is packed with top-rated unique features, records superb unbeatable videos.

3. Precautions
1) Once receiving the package:
Please make sure the camera surface sticker and the recorder screen sticker are all
torn off, otherwise, the sticker will affects image clarity.

3) Use the original accessories
Please use original accessories provided in the package from KQQ store, just in case of
compatible issues after using others', especially using 2 or 3 in 1 cigar sockets of others will
lead to the insufficient current supply.
4) Check the functionality firstly
Please check the functionality of dash cam with its all accessories before installation. If you
want to find a professional for installation, please check the function first, so as to prevent
the inconvenience and installation cost loss caused by the machine problem after the
installation.

5) TF memory card installation
Please insert the external TF card from KQQ store before using it. The TF memory card is
used to store the image or video files of the driving recorder.
*Important:
(1) Please use a high-speed TF memory card (above Class 10) with a capacity of not
less than 8GB (supports max to 128GB). When the card is full,the machine will
automatically overwrite the earlier files. It is recommended to format or replace
the TF memory card regularly every month to ensure that the machine works
normally.
(2) Please don't splice rear camera wire for extension from other store, the monitor
may lose the rear image. The length of original cable for rear camera is 23 feet
(7m), suitable for most types of cars. We also have 33 feet(10m) rear camera
extension cables ( ASIN : B0B3DNT2MX) sold separately.

4. Warnings
Failure to comply with safety warnings and regulations can result in serious injury or
death.
Please read and understand all instructions before using this product. If any damage
is caused by failure to follow the instructions, the warranty will be voided.
4.1 For Safety:
1) Keep all small accessories out of the reach of children.
2) Be sure to use accessories and designated parts. Using non-designated parts may
damage the equipment or cause fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

4) Do not try to open the cover or try to repair it yourself. If the accessories for this device
have any problem or this product is damaged or malfunctions, stop using it immediately
and consult your dealer. Continued use may cause fire, electric shock or vehicle failure.
Make sure CONTACT US first for any assistance. We have a responsive technical
service team for your asking.
5) Do not drop, puncture or disassemble or modify this product yourself. That may cause
an electric shock, malfunction, or fire.
6) Do not install or operate the camera, or attempt to change any setting while driving. If it
interferes with driving, please do not do any of these because this may cause an
accident. Make sure to Pull off the main road first and only do so when it is safe.
7) This camera is intended to use inside a motor vehicle. Don’t install it where it will block
the driver’s view of the road including on top of the dashboard or the deployment of
airbags.
4.2 For Maintenance:
1) Do not leave the camera in the direct sunlight for a long period of time or where the
temperature could go above 158°F (70°C).
2) Do not expose this product to rain, moisture, or water under any circumstances or it will
result in damage.
3) Do not expose this device to excessive dust, or use any chemical substance or
cleaning solvent to clean this device. Instead, use a soft moist cloth for cleaning to
avoid scratches that may compromise video quality.
4) Removing the camera from the vehicle when not in use is recommended. This
prevents the likelihood of theft or exposure to excessive heat to prevent damage to the
unit.
4.3 Others
1) This product is compatible with DC12V/24V vehicles.
2) Since this product uses a wide-angle lens, part of the image may be distorted. It also
differs from the actual perspective. This is a characteristic of wide-angle lenses and is
not a malfunction.

3) The specifications and appearance of this product are subject to change without notice
for improvement.
4) Some countries or USA states prohibit drivers from mounting anything on the
windshield or prohibit mounting on certain areas of the windshield.
5) It is the owner/operator’s responsibility to mount or use this device in compliance with

5. Installation and Operating
5.1 Notes on Installation
1) Before Installing: Power on the dash cam to check whether all functions and its
display can work normally.
2) When Installing: Please do not turn on the mirror screen until all the cameras are
plugged in, then the cameras can start up with a stable power/voltage perfectly, which
is a must-have installation process for this mirror camera.
If there is any expected issue with the dash cam whether the product is on or off, you
can try the tips below to reboot the dash cam and system
Tips 1 for rebooting the dash cam: Remove the memory card firstly→ Press the RESET
button (as below) with a paper clip or tip of the pen → Reinsert the SD card

Tips 2 for rebooting the system: Enter the menu → Select “ Factory format ” → Select “
Confirm ” (Note: The Tips 2 above will restore the initial parameter settings of the product,
after which you can reset the parameters again)
3) Don't pull too hard when routing cables of dash cam. Ensure all cables connected
correctly and all ports plugged in completely before powering.
4) After Installation: The functions and display of dash cam works normally before
installing, but it can't work after installing. So there may be a problem with installation.
Please check the connection of cables and ports again.
5) DON'T destroy or modify the original wiring without permission. If cables are damaged
during installation, cables MUST be replaced.

5.2 How to hide power cable inside your car’s dash board?

5.3 Dash Cam Rear view Mirror Installation:
1) Turn off dash cam. Insert TF card into TF card slot.
2) Note: Don’t remove TF card when dash cam is turned on. It will damage TF card and
its data
3) Mount T36S mirror dash cam over the original car rear view mirror with the provided
rubber straps. Then adjust the angle.

5.4 Detached Front Camera Installation:
(1) Choose installation positions of front on front windshield.
(Note: It is recommended to install the front camera behind the rear view mirror.)
(2) Clean and dry windshield before installation.
(3) Remove protective films of double-sided stickers and stick front camera to selected
positions separately.
(4) Arrange camera cable and plug into front camera port
Warning: Don't install front in locations that blocks driver's field of view. Don't let camera
cables obstruct the visual field of dash cam and driver.
5.5 Rear Camera Installation :
1) Check whether the rear camera can work well at first.
2) Choose the installation positions(Two options):
Position 1: Install the rear camera near the license plate.
Note: Position 1 is highly recommended. It support rear viewing and parking
assistant.
Installation steps for position 1:
1) Run rear camera cable along from top of windshield, door frame, A-pillar, B-pillar, car
boot and all the way to car license plate, and hide the cable behind car rubber seals.
2) Find a suitable installation position near license plate. Then fix rear camera with the
provided screws and rear camera holder to the selected position.
(Note: It is recommended to set rear camera angle pointing slightly down.)
3) Plug the rear camera port into AV-IN/AHD1 port on dash cam.
4) Connect the red cable on rear camera cable to the positive pole of the reversing
light.
5) (Note: If you don’t need reversing guild, you can choose not to connect the reversing
light.)

Position 2: Install the rear camera on the rear windshield.
Note: Position 2 is designed for live stream rear view only, not suitable for parking
assistant function.
5.6 Connecting the Power
1) Car Charger Connecting
As shown in figure, run power cable along from the top of windshield, A-pillar, door frame
and all the way to passenger-side glove box. Hide the cable behind car rubber seal on
edge. Then plug car charger into vehicle’s cigarette lighter and dash cam power port.
1) Hard wire Kit (Optional to install)
NOTE: Hard wire kit needs to be purchased separately,not included in the package.
As shown in figure, run cable along from the top of front windshield, door frame, A-pillar and
all the way to driver-side glove box to connect to car fuse box. Then plug USB port into
dash cam power port.

Note:
1) Dash cam will turn off when car engine is turned off. In order to record video when
parks, a hardwired kit is required to connect dash cam to car fuse box to power dash
cam when engine is off.
2) To avoid compatibility issues, please use the T36 original hard wire kit (Contact us or
visit KQQ store)
6. Introduction of Functions
Please read the Instructions before Installation and Operating.
6.1 FAQ
1) If the machine cannot be turned on after the power is turned on, please keep the power
on and reset the machine. Please CONTACT US if it still doesn't work.
2) Please confirm whether your cigar power port is ACC (if the cigarette lighter is still
charged after the car is turned off, please use the hard wire kit, otherwise it may
exhaust your car's power supply).

6.2 Introduction A - Main Functions
1) Mirror dash cam switch:
This product is installed with the standard car charger, and the ignition is turned on; when
the ignition is turned off, it is turned off or pressed “on/off” (car charger power supply, long
press the “on/off” for 3 seconds to turn on/off the dash camera, short press to turn off / turn
on the screen).
2) Quickly turn off the screen
Press the "power button" to turn off the LCD backlight. (Tap the screen or press the power
button to turn on the LCD backlight)

3) TF memory card installation
You will need to insert a memory card before you can start recording. Must use only Brand
Name, Class-10, U3 or higher speed Micro-SD Card. Max support 128GB.(a 64 GB
Memory card is included in the package)

Before first time use, you MUST format the memory card in the camera to prevent any
errors and for smooth operation.
(1) TO INSTALL
Make sure the camera is turned OFF First. Then align the side that shows information of
the Micro SD card facing towards the front of the Mirror Side. Then insert the memory card
halfway in. Then use the fingernail or a paper clip to push the card all the way inward until it
clicks and locks in place.
(2) TO REMOVE
To remove the Micro SD card, gently push its edge inward until it
clicks, and then pops out, then simply pull it out of the slot.
(3) NOTE
If you experience camera FREEZING or LAGGING or STOPS Recording after few seconds.

It is the issue of the MEMORY CARD. (NOT THE CAMERA ISSUE) - Please Contact US.
KQQ Dash Camera is High Bit-Rate Video recording device. Which requires High Speed
Rating SPECIFIC Micro-SD Cards.
Absolutely Do NOT Purchase it from third party seller on eBay or
any online place. Otherwise they may be a fake cards and will NOT work.

6.3 Format TF memory card
First, Click the screen and click to pause recording,
Then, click the setting icon to enter the setting interface, select Format to format the TF
card.
*Important: Formatting will clear the memory card data and cannot be recovered after
clearing, please do data backup.
6.4 Recording files
After inserting an external TF memory card, this product will automatically enter the video
recording when it is turned on.
1) Click on the screen and a floating window will pop up at the bottom of the screen.
2) Click to recording or to pause the recording.
6.5 Take pictures
Pause the video, tap the photo icon to take a photo.

6.6 Lock video files
Click the lock icon to lock the current file.
6.7 Computer playback video files
The normal video folder is "video".
The photo folder is "photo".
The locked video file is "event".
‘F’ is the prerecording file; ‘R’ is the Post-Recording.
How to transfer videos to PC?
Insert memory card via card reader to your PC/MAC to view or download them.
We recommend VLC Media Player to view your videos. You can get it free at
www.videolan.org
6.8 Recording on/off
Click the recording icon to turn on/off the recording sound.

6.9 Screen brightness adjustment
Click the brightness icon and slide the cursor left and right to adjust the brightness of the
screen backlight.
6.10 Front and rear image switching
Tap the camera switch icon or swipe the screen to the right.
6.11 Parking Monitoring
This function requires a dedicated power cord to be installed ( Requires separate
purchase of hardwired cables). After the vehicle is turned off and stationary, when the
body vibrates to a certain extent due to the collision. The driving recorder will automatically
start recording and lock the video.

6.12 Setting Guideline
After the rear camera is installed, connect the red line of the rear camera connection
line (reversing signal detection wire) to connect the reversing lights. When the vehicle
is in reverse gear, the recorder will automatically switch the reverse camera like
accessibility.
6.13 Introduction B - More Function/Settings
Click to enter setup menu to see more setting applications. Tap any functions you need
to set up to start setting.
6.14 Resolution:
2.5K(2560x1440P) / 1080P(1920X1080P). Please select 2.5K(2560x1440P) in the
setting for the best front camera vision.
6.15 Loop Recording: 1Min / 3Min / 5Min
Select to record and archive video in segment of 1 / 3 / 5 minutes. Loop recording
automatically overwrite the earliest segment with the latest video when the TF card is full.
[Note:] Locked footage won't be overwritten.

6.16 Stream Media: Off / Front camera / Rear camera / Front

6.17 G-sensor: Off / Low / Middle / High
Select to adjust the sensitivity of G-sensor. The built-in G-sensor (Gravity Sensor) will
automatically trigger emergency video recording when it detects a collision occurred, and
then lock-up the video to prevent being overwritten to retain accurate evidence for accident.
[Note:]
1) Please set the sensitivity of G-sensor to Low, so that vibrations in driving won't trigger
frequent recording and emergency locking of video to make TF card be full easily and
affect the normal working of dash cam.
2) If the car is collided when the car is turned off, the collision video can be recorded and
saved only when hard wire kit connect.
3) If the car is collided when the car is turned on, one of the car charger and the hard
wire kit power supply the dash cam, the video can automatically be recorded and
saved
6.18 Parking: On/Off
Allow to turn on or turn off the parking monitoring mode.
[Note:] Hard wire kit is needed to connect dash cam to car battery to power the dash cam
when the engine is off.
6.19 Date Watermark: On/Off
Turn on to stamp recording date and time on footage to remain accurate evidence for
accident.
6.20 Car OSD: On / Off / Modify
Input and save your car license plate number. You can choose whether to stamp it on
footage for accident reference. You can also modify the saved license plate number.
6.21 Screen Saver: Off / 1Min/ 3Min / 5Min
If select to turn off screen saver, the LCD display will always keep on. Otherwise, LCD
display will go into screensaver if there is no any operation on dash cam during the set
duration.
[Note:] Short press Power Button to light up screen while it is in screensaver status.
6.22 Front Camera Mirror: Off / On
Select to turn on front camera mirror, front camera image will be reversed left and right.
[Note:] This setting appears only when front camera is connected.
6.23 Front Camera Flip: Off / On
Select to turn on front camera flip, front camera image will be upside down.
[Note:] This setting appears only when front camera is connected.

6.24 Back Camera Flip: Off / On
Select to turn on rear camera mirror, rear camera image will be upside down.
[Note:] This setting appears only when rear camera is connected.
6.25 Back Camera Mirror: Off / On
Select to turn on rear camera mirror, rear camera image will be reversed left and right. You
can switch between mirror image and normal image to suit your habit.
[Note:] This setting appears only when rear camera is connected.
6.26 Volume: Low / Middle / High
6.27 Recording Settings: Off / On
6.28 Language:
1) English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese,
Japanese, Russian, Korean
2) Support more than 10 languages and you can select your preferred language.
6.29 Time Setting: Set local date, time and time zone manually.
Please set the actual time before using dash cam to effectively record date and time of
evidence for traffic accident.
6.30 Time Format: 12H / 24H
6.31 Date Format: YY/MM/DD, MM/DD/YY, DD/MM/YY
6.32 Frequency: Auto / 50Hz / 60Hz
6.33 Key Volume: Off / On
Choose to open or close the voice of clicking keys according to personal preference.
6.34 Boost Sound: Off / On
Choose to make a sound or mute when turning on dash cam.
6.35 Format SD:
1) Format TF card and delete all data to optimize TF card.
2) [Note:]Please format TF card on dash cam before using the dash cam.
3) It is recommended to format TF card once a month to make it work normally for a long
time.
6.36 Reset Factory: Confirm / Cancel
Reset dash cam to restore factory settings.

6.37 Version:
Display the software version
6.38 Lapse Recording: OFF / 1fps (1 frame per second) / 2fps (2
frame per second) / 5 fps (5 frame per second)
Allow dash cam to record continuously at the set frame rate during parking and playback
the video at 30fps. Ensure the integrity of video while save memory space of TF card.
Hard wire kit is needed to connect dash cam to car battery to power the dash cam when the
engine is off.
[Note:] Lapse Recording icon appears only when hard wire kit is connected.
6.39 Parking Time:
Optional recording duration of Parking Time mode at Never, 1 hour, 2 hours, 5 hours, 10
hours and 24 hours.
[Note:] The Parking Time icon appears only when hard wire kit is connected.

Shooting
8.1 The camera does not turn ON
When you plug it in, the camera should turn ON. If NOT, then long-press the Power Button
to see if it turns ON? If it still does NOT turn ON, you can try the tips below to restart the
camera:
