Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Super Sweepy - the lean, mean, cleaning
machine.
It is very important for you to read this manual carefully before you assemble and install
your Super Sweepy correctly.
Correctly installed in an effectively operating pool system, Super Sweepy will give you
years of satisfaction.
The Super Sweepy automatic swimming pool cleaner is a hydraulically operated machine.
Throughout its life in the pool the Super Sweepy will give you excellent service, cleaning
and removing dirt and deposits thereby reducing chemical demand.
If you wish to take the machine out of the water while swimming, detach the Super
Sweepy from the hose and place in the shade - never leave the machine or the hoses in
the sun. Also remember to keep the hose in a straight line.

Fitting the Seal
Slide the seal over the top of the swivel head and down over the main body as illustrated in
Figure 1. The seal should sit in the groove just above the footpad.
Once in place, the seal should rotate and turn freely about the base of the main body.
The seal should be placed with the pleats facing upwards.
IMPORTANT:
Please note that the footpad and seal are wearing items and are not covered by the warranty. In
order to prevent damage to the Super Sweepy main body they must be replaced when worn.
Note: Damage to the main body
due to foot pad wear invalidates
the warranty.
The pleated seal is suitable for
plastered, vinyl, fibreglass and
chip-tile swimming pools.

4
Fitting the Skirt
Position the skirt so the straps wrap into the grooves
on the sides of the main body and away from you. Pull
the left T-shaped end of the strap so it slides into the
last slot on the back of the main body. Repeat these
steps for the right strap.
IMPORTANT:
For the proper fit of the skirt, the left strap must be
fitted first.
Fitting the Bumper Strap
Insert the bottom end of the bumper strap (end clos-
est to the bumper beads) into the slot provided on the
main body. Insert the top end of the bumper into the
slot provided in the swivel head.

5
Fitting the Dive Float
Super Sweepy’s float fits into the slots on the top
of the main housing. Start off by sliding the tip
of each triangular end into the opening of each
respective slot. Keep pushing the triangular ends
into the slots until the notches on the bottom of
the triangular ends slip into place. [See picture]
Insert the top end of the bumper into the slot pro-
vided in the swivel head.

6
Correct length:
The length of your hose is vital for all over cleaning of
the pool. The hose must reach the farthest corner of
the pool from the skimmer and to allow for curves in
the hose, make sure you have at least one extra hose
length.
Hose Assembly
The Super Sweepy hose comes in sections which
must be assembled. Each section has a male
and a female end. Shove the male end of a hose
section into the female end of the swivel head.
Then shove the male end of the next section into
the female end of the previous section. It is made
easier by damping the hose ends with water
(below). Finally assemble a female hose end to the
automatic skim valve. See to it that the skim valve
is installed in the right direction (as shown on the
skim valve).
For optimum perfor-
mance of your Super
Sweepy use genuine
Kreepy Krauly hoses.
Use of other hoses in-
validates the warranty.

Installation
Thoroughly clean and
backwash the filter to
ensure it is free from
dirt and debris other-
wise your New Super
Sweepy will not work.
C: Place valve
adaptor cuff
into vacuum
lid.
A: Switch the
pump off
B: Clean skim-
mer and leaf
strainer. Put it
back.
D: Place Auto-
Skim Valve
into valve
adaptor cuff.

8
Installation continued
E: Slide hose protector over hose. F. Place hose adaptor into hose.
G: Place the New Super
Sweepy into the pool
and allow it to sink to
the floor. Feed the hose
down into the pool until
it is completely filled
with water.
No air must be in the
hose when it it
fitted into the valve
adaptor cuff. H: Switch pump on.
Your fully-assembled New Super
Sweepy will start pulsating immediately.

9
Balancing the Hose
You must always have 2 hose weights
on the hose. The weights are de-
signed to balance the Super Sweepy
correctly. The first weight should be
in the middle of the length nearest to
your Super Sweepy. This controls the
movement in the shallow end of your
pool. To control the movement in the
deep end, the second weight should
be placed halfway up the second
length of hose.
The balance between the first and
second weights regulate the move-
ment around the pool. If your hose
is too light, your Super Sweepy will
float. All weights should be adjusted
slightly closer to your machine. If your
hose is too heavy, your Super Sweepy
will sit on its bumper strap. In this
case move the weights further away
from your machine.

Troubleshooting 1 of 5
Because of the individual characteristics of your pool, some additional adjustments may be required to get the
best performance from your Super Sweepy.
If there seems to be a problem, check the common causes of cleaner problems. If you still need help,
call your nearest pool professional.
• Is the filter clean? Clean filter
• Is pump strainer basket clean? Clean basket
• Is debris blocking the bottom of the cleaner? Remove debris
• Are there any leaks in the hose? Replace leaky section
• Is auto-skim valve free of debris? Clean valve
If Super Sweepy slows or stops and air bubbles enter the pool at the return line:
• Find and correct the air leak that is causing the pump to lose its prime (pressure):
• Check the hose to ensure there are no leaks.
• Check the vacuum connection. It should be submerged so no air enters the system.
• Check the pump basket lid for looseness, cracks, worn or missing O-rings.
If you need assistance, contact your nearest pool professional.

11
Troubleshooting 2 of 5
If Super Sweepy is neither moving nor pulsating:
• Check for debris in the filter or pump basket.
• Check for debris in the cleaner’s flapper.
• Pool pump and filter system may be too small (incapable of providing 60 litres per minute of water flow).
Consult your pool professional.
If Super Sweepy stays in one end of the pool:
• Check the return line water flow and re-direct as necessary downwards.
• Check that the hose is long enough to reach to the end of the pool.
If Super Sweepy stays at the steps at the shallow end:
• Check the return line water flow and re-direct as necessary downwards.
• Check the automatic regulator valve to make sure it is correctly installed and not filled with debris.
Accessory
If the problem continues, it is advisable to install the Super Sweepy Guidewheel as it will push the machine away
from the steps and allow it to continue cleaning.

12
Troubleshooting 3 of 5
If Super Sweepy tracks in a repetitive pattern:
• Check the swivel on the top of the cleaner. It should turn freely.
• Check the return line water flow and re-direct as necessary downwards.
• Check the hose to ensure it has not become bent or kinked. It only takes one bent or kinked hose section to
hinder the cleaning coverage. One way to check for kinks in your hose is to lay each section flat on your pool’s
deck (or other flat surface). The hose should be perfectly straight and flat.
• Do not coil the hose when taking your cleaner out of the pool because it will retain the coil shape, forming a
bend or kink.
• Check the position of the dive float. It must be lined up with the centre of the main body and swivel head. out of
the pool, then fit an Extended Dive Float Restrictor, as indicated in bottom diagram.

13
Troubleshooting 4 of 5
HOW TO REMOVE DEBRIS FROM THE FLAPPER.
IMPORTANT: The pool pump must be turned off before removing the cleaner from the pool.
• Sometimes debris may clog the bottom of the cleaner and prevent flapper movement or restrict water flow. The
flapper is located inside the main body and must move freely at all times.
• You can see the flapper through the opening in the baffle plate when you turn the cleaner upside down, as
shown in the diagram below. Jiggle the flapper with your finger or flush the cavity with a hose to force out any
debris lodged inside the main body.
Suction
Seal

14
Troubleshooting 5 of 5
• If debris is still lodged inside, you must remove the flapper. First lift up the lip of the foot pad and insert a flat-
headed screwdriver along side one of the two tabs found on either side of the baffle plate. (See Figure b)
Push the tab inward with the screwdriver until the baffle plate releases.Place a finger into the centre opening of
the baffle plate and pops out. Then pull the flapper out. Note: You should be able to do this without taking the
foot pad off.
• Once the debris is dislodged, insert the flapper back into the main body and snap the baffle plate back into
position. Be sure that it is securely in place. (See Figure d)
