Since the flywheel and flywheel housing
in the series have been selected in
accordance with the SAE standards, the engines are suited for use with the
generatorsbased
on the SAE standardsinstallation.

this workshop manual, the points changed betweenthe “BG” and “B”
series in dimensions, specifications, governor systems and applications are
described.

- V3300-T-BG und 125 rnrn (D3502-BG, V4702-BG) verfugt. Diese
Motorenwerden wiederurn inzwei Drehzahlgruppen-1500 U/Min
(50 Hz) und 1800
U/Min (60 Hz) unterteilt; es stehen darnit 16 verschiedene Motorenrnodelle rnit
insgesarnt32 Ausfuhrungenzur Verfugung.
Schwungscheibe und Schwungscheibengehause entsprechen den SAE-
StandardmaBen; aus diesem Grundesind die Motorenauch zur Verwendungmit
Generatorengeeignet, derenInstallationdemSAE- Standardentspricht.
Dieses Werkstatthandbuch erlautert die Unterschiede zwischen den
Baureihen
B und BG in bezug auf Abmessungen, Spezifikationen,
Drehzahlregler-SystemenundMontage.
Fur alle anderen Wartungsschritte sich auf das unten aufgefuhrte
WerkstatthandbuchderentsprechendenCode-Nummberbetiehen.
Die
in diesem Werkstatthandbuch angegebenen Spezifikationen und
Abmessungen konnenaus Grunden technischer Verbesserungen jederzeit ohne
vorherigeAnkundigunggeandertwerden.

(1) Beforeworkingontheengine :
0 Stop the engine, andremovethekey.
0 Allowtheenginetocoolbeforeproceeding.
0 Placetheengineonafirmandlevelsurface.
0 Disconnectthe battery’s groundcable.
0 Cleanthework area andengine.
(2) Do not work on the engine while under the influence of alcohol, medication, or other substances or
(3) Do notwear a necktie, scarf, necklace, loose or bulky clothing when you work near machine tools or
(4) Wear a suitable hearingprotectivedevice such as earmuffs or earplugstoprotectagainstobjectionable
(5) Usetoolsappropriateto the work. Makeshift tools, parts, andprocedureswill notmakegoodrepairs.
(6) Whenservicing is performedtogetherbytwoor morepersons, takecaretoperformallworksafely.
(7) If the engine must be runningto do some work, make sure the area is well ventilated. Never run the

(9) Fuel is extremely flammableand explosive under certain conditions. Do not smoke or allow flames or
sparks inyour workingarea.
(10) To avoidsparks from an accidental short circuit, always disconnect the battery‘s ground cable first and
connect
it last.
(11) Sulfuric acid in battery electrolyte is poisonous. It is strong enough to burn skin, clothing and cause
blindness
if splashed into eyes. Keep electrolyte away from eyes, hands and clothing.
If you spill
electrolyteonyourself, flushwithwater, andgetmedicalattention immediately.
(12) Battery gas can explode. Keep sparks and open flame away from the top of battery, especially when
chargingthebattery.
(13) Never removethe radiator cap while the engine is running, or immediatelyafter stopping. Otherwise,
hot water will spout out from radiator. Wait for more than ten minutes to cool the radiator, before
removingthecap.
(14) Escapingfuel fluidunder pressurecan penetratetheskincausing serious injury. Relieve pressure before
disconnectingfuel
lines. Tightenallconnectionsbeforeapplyingpressure.
(15) Do notstarttheengine byshortingacrossstarterterminals.
(16) Unauthorizedmodificationstothe engine mayimpairthefunctionand/orsafety andaffectengine life.
