EXTENDED WARRANTY
SERVICE & WARRANTY
Loudspeakers rarely require service, but should the need arise contact your local distributor.
There are no user servicable parts inside. We would advise you to retain all packaging in case
you need to ship or transport your loudspeakers in the future.
Kudos offers an extended ve year warranty on parts and labour. This warranty does not cover damage
due to accident, negligence or misuse. This includes repairs or alterations of products by a person
other than Kudos Audio.
For the extended warranty to be valid, customers must register the product with Kudos Audio, either via
the online product registration form or by post within 3-months from the date of purchase. Any
registration outside the 3-month window will not be eligible for the extended warranty.
All Kudos loudspeakers are guaranteed against faulty components and defective materials for a period
of two years from the date of purchase.
*Terms & Conditions apply. Please visit the Kudos
website for further details.

100 HOURS
ACTIVE USE
POSITIONING
If you wish to use your Titan loudspeakers in an active
conguration you will need one amplier channel for each
drive unit in the speakers and a suitable, Kudos approved,
active crossover.
*Incorrect connection may result in serious damage to
your electronics or loudspeakers.
Kudos loudspeakers have been designed to work in a wide
range of rooms and should be easy to site. As a general
guide they should be placed 2m apart and at least the same
distance from the main listening position. The Titan 606 and
707 are ported into the Fixed Boundary Gap between the
cabinet and the plinth to minimise the effects of the room.
However in most circumstances we would recommend
if possible that the cabinets are placed at least 45cm
away from side walls. Moving a loudspeaker closer to
the front wall may increase bass response, but may
cause colouration and unevenness in the mid-band.
Experiment by listening to ascertain the best balance.
Providing that you do not run your amplier into “clipping” (sounding distorted or
strained) your Kudos loudspeakers should handle the power from most ampliers
in a domestic setting. As a rough guide we recommend ampliers with a power
rating of between 25 and 250 watts per channel. Remember you are much more
likely to damage your drive units by using an underpowered amplier than an
overpowered one.
For further information contact your retailer or distributor or visit. kudosaudio.com/upgrade-to-active
All loudspeakers require a running in period and we would recommend you
do not decide upon the nal positioning until your loudspeakers have had at
least 100 hours of use. Once you have become more familiar with your new
loudspeakers a degree of experimentation with their placement can bring about
signicant improvements.
Your loudspeakers will not be fully run in until they have had approximately 300
hours of use, but changes will be smaller and more subtle as use increases.

25-250 WATTS
Loudspeakers are inherently reliable and require little maintenance. The cabinets are
nished in real wood veneers and can be cleaned with a lightly damp lint free cloth.
We do not recommend the use of anything else on the cabinets.
Please note that the wood veneers will mature and darken with time.

PASSIVE WIRING
ACTIVE WIRING
The Titan loudspeakers can be either passively or actively driven.
In a passive system use the single pair of 4mm sockets observing correct polarity.
In a passive system the output from a power amplier is passed through the
crossover housed inside the loudspeakers. All Titan loudspeakers are congured
from the factory for passive operation.
To maintain correct polarity make sure to connect the red “+” amplier connection
to the corresponding red “+” passive input speaker connection and the black “-”
amplier connection to the corresponding black “-” passive input speaker
connection.
The Titan 505 loudspeakers should be used on a good quality medium
to high mass stands available from all good hi dealers. We recommend our
dedicated Titan 505 stand for the ultimate performance.
The Titan 606 and 707 loudspeakers come with a stabilising and port optimising
plinth tted.
The supplied spikes should be used at all times. Carefully locate the spikes and
locknuts into the plinth taking care not to crossthread. If you have a wooden or
laminate oor your dealer should be able to supply oor protectors to avoid spike
damage. For optimal performance the speaker should be solidly spiked to the oor
with no rocking movement in any direction.
