pany. We are wishing you an enjoyable time with it.
For your own safety, please read these operating and security advices carefully! Keep
these instructions for the entire service life of the product and a later consulting.
Introduction
Each watch winder has been built individually. All models have been given a serial
number which is stamped in the bottom-plate of the watchwinder and printed on the
attached certificate.
This watch winder left the factory safety and function related in absolutely perfect condi-
tion. It should provide you with many years of trouble-free service without need of main-
tenance. In order to maintain this condition and to ensure a safe operation, it is absolu-
tely necessary for you to follow the safety advices and warning notes of these operating
instructions.
Please check immediately if there are any shipping damages. In case of shipping dama-
ge do not use this unit but contact your local dealer or your supplier as soon as possible.
Please keep the original packaging materials. In case of returning the unit it must be retur-
ned in the original packing to protect it during transportation. It should be insured for the
retail value.

Warranty / Security Advices
• Consider these instructions to be part of the total product.
• Pass this manual on to every further owner or user of this product.
The warranty lasts for two years starting from the date of purchase. Damages caused
by the disregard of these instructions are not subject to warranty. The manufacturer
will not accept liability for any resulting defects or problems. Warranty claims will expire
immediately. This applies for any modifications of the unit as well. If the application of the
unit does not comply with the instructions, the unit could be damaged. Warranty claims
would expire then too. Overthrown, scratched or opened units will affect the warranty
claims. Furthermore any other application could cause dangers like short-circuits, fire,
electric shock or personal injury. For consequential damages any liability is excluded for
the manufacturer.
Please compare your mains voltage with the specifications on the identification plate
of the mains adapter and use only the rated voltage. If the device has been exposed to
drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. during transportation), do not plug it in or switch it on
immediately. The arising condensation water might damage your device or might cause
dangers like short-circuits, fire, electric shock or personal injury. Leave the device swit-
ched off and unplugged until it has reached room temperature.
Never let the cables get in contact with other cables. Please be careful with cables and
plugs. The adapter must always be inserted without force. Make sure that the adapter
plug is tightly connected with the outlet.
Make sure that the cord is never crimped or damaged by sharp edges. Never modify,
bend, strain mechanically, put pressure on, pull or heat up the power cord. Never operate
next to sources of heat or cold. The cable insert or the female part in the device must
never be strained. There must always be sufficient cable to the device. Check the device
and the cord from time to time. Always disconnect the unit from mains, when the device
is not in use or before cleaning. Only handle the adapter cord by the plug. Never pull out
the plug by tugging the cord. Otherwise the cable or plug can be damaged. There must
never enter any liquid into the power outlets or any holes in the housing of the device.
This is also valid, if the device was exposed to very high humidity. Please be cautious
that no objects or dirt can enter into the device. Keep children away from the device.

Setup and Operating Procedures
Setup
The unit has been delivered ready to use. Please carry the watch winder always in an
even level and hold it tightly at the bottom of the pedestal. Please remove the glass
dome before carrying the watch winder. Be extremely careful when placing the glass
dome on a sensitive furniture top. Always place the device on even ground to avoid
overturning. Its massive and solid construction as well as its own weight ensures a secu-
re stand.
Please avoid to place the unit where foreign objects may fall onto it and/or this unit may
be exposed to liquid dripping or splashing. Do not place any objects on top of the unit.
Before plugging in the adapter take care that the switch on the bottom side of the unit is
in the middle position, means “OFF-position”.
Putting on the Glass Dome (attention: real glass)
The glass dome needs your special attention. Please only touch it very carefully. Avoid
quick uplifting and putting it down too fast. Make sure the dome fits into the respective
flute.
Opening of the Drawers („secret drawers“)
In the base of this watch winder two small drawers are integrated. They can be opened
by pushing two buttons sideward at the bottom of the base. Both interiors of the drawers
are covered with felt and can store rings, keys, money or other small items. To close the
drawers, just push them back smoothly until they snap in by themselves.

Loading of the Watch Retaining Springs
This watch winder is designed for any brand of automatic wrist watches. After removal
of the glass dome you may load the retaining springs with watches. Both springs are co-
vered with a soft cellular rubber layer to avoid scratches on the watch bands and to hold
the watches safely.
Remove one of the retaining springs from the watch winder by pulling it carefully from the
driving axis and do as follows: adjust the watch strap to a middle length. Now grab with
the thumb and index finger into the loops of the retaining spring and compress it slightly.
Then impose the watch with the other hand over it according to figure below.
The watch case should be placed between the loops at the open side of the retaining
spring and the strap should be seated solidly on the opposite side. The strap adjusts its-
elf along the retaining spring. Will there be too much or too less tension on the retaining
spring, you may bend the both loops gently tighter or wider before imposing the watch
over it until the tension is suitable to hold your watch safely. Now continue the same way
with the other watch.
Fig.: Loading of the watch retaining springs
Once the loading is finished put the spring into the dedicated axis support. Pay attention
before switching on the winder, that nothing can get into the motion area and no other
object can block the circulation. Not only the winder, but also valuable watches could be
damaged.
Upon unloading the watches do as described, just the other way round.

Operation
Plug in the mains adapter into a power outlet. The adapter will adjust to the respecti-
ve country voltage. Then plug in the cable into the socket on the bottom of the watch
winder. Beware: turning the watch winder upside down, first the glass dome has to be
removed. Otherwise it might fall down and could be destroyed.
The rotating mechanism of this watch winder contains a precise, quiet and very reliab-
le motor from Switzerland. Generally, there are two possibilities for operation: reversing
mode (continuous change of rotation direction with sleeping phases) and permanent
rotation in one direction:
• Put the toggle switch in the direction that the green LED at the top-face of the unit lights
up. The unit rotates with a reversing direction of approx. 900 rotations per day in each
direction. In this reversing mode (recommended) both retaining springs rotate for 30
minutes in one direction, then stop for a sleeping phase for about two hours and then
begin to rotate in the other direction, and so on. This mode of operation with reversing
direction is good for your automatic watch and takes also care of watches, which get
wound up in one direction only.
• Put the toggle switch in the other direction, so the orange LED lights up. Now the unit
continuously rotates in one direction. Since the retaining springs construction-wise
are rotating each in the opposite direction, one spring rotates to the left and the other
spring rotates to the right. This mode is especially interesting for speed-winding or to
present the automatic watch on the winder.
Instead of a manual on- and off switching of the watch winder, the runtime can be con-
trolled by a standard clock-timer. The drive mechanism has been constructed in such a
way, that by blocking the rotating springs it will block the drive however not damage it.
Permanent blocking should be avoided, because this will interfere with the durability of
the watch winding unit.

9
Cleaning and Maintenance
Please clean the device without dissolver or sharp cleanser but only use a slightly wet
cloth. Based on the direct power-drive of the motor the unit is generally maintenance
free. Since this watch winder is construction-wise comparable to a “machine” we advise
to put some oil on the bearings from time to time. The same is advised for the O-rings on
the shaft bolts of the retaining springs. The durability will be extended drastically.
For abrasive and replacement parts only use genuine parts. The following spare parts
can be exchanged by the user easily and safely:
• Watch retaining spring, stainless steel with nickel and cellular rubber layer (Part. No.:
127 001 561)
• Watch retaining spring, stainless steel with 24-carat gold and cellular rubber layer (Part.
No.: 127 001 562)
• Cellular rubber layer for one watch retaining spring (Part. No.: 903 524)
• O-ring for the shaft bolts of the watch retaining spring (Part. No.: 901 990)
The exchange of the abovementioned parts can be necessary individually depending on
the duration of the usage. The exchange is possible without further know-how.

Trouble Shooting
The watch winder does not rotate after switching it on
• Mains cable is not plugged in or no current at the power outlet.
• Possible reason could also be a foreign object blocking the drive mechanism.
Both watch retaining springs do not rotate (from time to time):
• Either a drive belt is ripped or the bearings are dry and should receive some oil.
• Another reason could be, the watch winder is in its sleeping phase of the reversing
mode (the green LED should be on)
