Starting Machine Description
Machine use
The machine is intended for the edge sanding of wooden floors. It may be used on newly laid and untreated floors and existing floors that have been
treated with lacquer or oil.
The main function of the machine is to serve as a complement to a belt or a drum sander for sanding edges.
The machine has been thoroughly checked and approved before leaving the factory.
When sanding, hold the machine, use both handles and move the machine in circles in the direction of rotation over the surface which is to be
sanded. It is important that the machine rests on three points, both the wheels and the sanding disc.
The best result is obtained by letting the machine work with its own weight.
When using fine abrasives you must be careful not to make any burn marks due to high friction created.
In addition to the points noted the sanding must be adapted to the type, pattern and composition of the floor.
Working method
1) Become familiar with the machine and read all instructions and safety notices. Ensure that all operators read this manual.
2) Use a remote control industrial vacuum cleaner intended for wooden dust (maximum length of pipe: 10 m - pipe diameter: 38 mm).
As an alternative, fix the bag by tying the cord over the suction elbow flange.
Starting the machine
5) Locate the power supply. The socket must be compatible
with the plug. To avoid electrical hazards the socket must be
grounded with a 16 A fuse. Connect the plug to the socket.
4) Fit the disc in accordance with the 'Abrasive Assembly
Procedures' (pg.14).
6) Raise the disc so that the machine is only resting on the floor
with its wheels. Press one of red starting lever and then press
the contact switch on the upper black shell of machine.
7) Keep the machine moving when the abrasive disc is lowered
and put on the work surface.
8) To stop the machine, raise the disc so that the machine is only resting on the floor with its wheels. Then release both red starting lever.

13
The disc does not stop immediately! Take care not to touch it with any part of the body during
this phase.
A safety sensor is fitted to the machine. If the machine is too inclined the motor stops. To recommence sanding
repeat the start-up operations described above.
Allow the motor to "rest" during periods of heavier use.
