IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using your Rechargeable Lantern, basic safety precautions should always
be followed:
Always operate your KYOWA Rechargeable Lantern from a power source
of the same voltage and frequency rating as indicated on the rating label.
Connect the lantern only to properly wired wall outlets.
Place the Rechargeable Lantern on a flat surface and far from the edge of
the counter top.
Do not operate the lantern if any part of it has been damaged. Return the
appliance to the nearest authorized dealer or service facility for repair.
Do not operate or place any part of your Rechargeable Lantern on or near
any hot surface such as a gas or electric burner, hotplate or heated oven.
Do not use or replace accessories of the Rechargeable Lantern, other than
the ones originally provided.
Switch OFF and unplug the lantern when not in use or before cleaning.
Always hold plug of the Rechargeable Lantern when unplugging from
socket. Do not unplug by pulling the supply cord.
Do not tie power plug around the Rechargeable Lantern.
Recharge lantern unit at least every three months to prolong battery life.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the
Rechargeable Lantern to rain, moisture or any liquid.

Before using for the first time, kindly take time to carefully read your
instruction manual. Please observe all safety precautions and follow
operating procedures. After reading, kindly store your instruction manual in
a safe place for your future reference. Should you pass on this
Rechargeable Lantern to a third party, please hand over this instruction
manual as well.

HOW TO USE
HOW TO OPERATE THE LAMP AS EMERGENCY LIGHT
Plug Rechargeable Lantern into the power outlet.
Slide power switch to ON position.
The Rechargeable Lantern will then light ON automatically when there is a
power failure.
Turn unit to OFF when not in use or if the lantern is not intended to be
used as emergency light.
HOW TO RECHARGE THE LAMP
Plug Rechargeable Lantern into the power outlet, red indicator lamp will
light up to indicate that the unit is charging.
For initial use, recharge lantern for 24 hours.
For subsequent charging, recharge lantern for 18 to 20 hours until battery
is fully charged or until red indicator light turns OFF and green indicator
light turns ON.
HOW TO USE THE LAMP AS MOBILE CHARGER
Disconnect power cord and plug from the rechargeable unit.
(Note: Mobile charging capability will not work if the lantern power cord is
connected to the unit.)
Connect usb cable charger into the rechargeable lantern then connect the
other end of the cable into the mobile phone unit.

CLEAN AND CARE
Wipe Rechargeable Lantern thoroughly with a soft and damp cloth.
Pat dry using a soft and dry cloth.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents or any metallic and sharp objects
(e.g. scrubbing brush or knife) for cleaning.
Avoid any kind of moisture to seep into your Rechargeable Lantern.
Fully charged battery will eventually lose its charge if unused for a
prolonged period of time. Recharge lantern unit once every 2 months to
maintain good battery life.
Store lantern in a cool and dry place after cleaning.
SERVICE
Do not operate your KYOWA Rechargeable Lantern if the unit
malfunctions or appears damaged in any manner. Bring the complete
product to the place of purchase or to any authorized KYOWA dealers for
inspection, repair or replacement.
Do not disassemble your KYOWA Rechargeable Lantern by yourself. No
user serviceable parts inside. Refer all needed repair to an authorized
KYOWA service facility ONLY.
