Important safety instructions
Inspect the system before any deployment.
Perform safety related checks and inspections before any deployment.
Verify the electrical conformity and compatibility of the mains supply.
Only connect the product to an AC power outlet rated 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz.
WARNING: The product is of CLASS 1 construction and shall be connected to a mains socket outlet with a
protective connection to earth.
When the product is used in a three-phase circuit, verify the electrical conformity and
compatibility of the three-phase circuit.
Verify that the three phases work, and balance the loads between the three phases.
Verify that the neutral and earth work.
Never try to emulate a 230 V circuit connecting an apparatus to two live wires of a 120 V three-phase circuit.
Never try to emulate a 200 V circuit connecting an apparatus to two live wires of a 100 V three-phase circuit.
Electrical generator
You must power on the generator before powering on the product.
Verify that the product is turned off before powering on the generator.
Never incorporate equipment or accessories not approved by L-Acoustics.
Read all the related PRODUCT INFORMATION documents shipped with the products before
exploiting the system.
Intended use
This product is intended for use by trained personnel for professional applications.
As part of a continuous evolution of techniques and standards, L-Acoustics reserves the right

Do not use the product outside its operating temperature range.
The product operates at a room temperature between 0 °C / 32 °F and 50 °C / 122 °F.
Do not expose the product to direct sun.
Only use the product in a conformed electro-magnetic environment.
Conformed environments are: E1 (residential), E2 (commercial and light industrial), E3 (urban outdoors), E4
(controlled EMC environment, ex. TV studio), as per EN55103-2 standards.
Avoid radio interference.
This product has been tested and complies with the limits indicated in the EMC directive (Electro Magnetic
Compatibility). These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference from
electrical equipment, but it cannot be guaranteed that interference will never occur.
Contact L-Acoustics for advanced maintenance.
Any unauthorized maintenance operation will void the product warranty.
Shipping
Use the original packaging for shipping the product.
Maintain this document as an integral part of the product.
Do not resell the product without this document.

Welcome
Thank you for purchasing the L-ISA Processor. The shipping carton should contain:
• 1 L-ISA Processor
• 1 power cable
• 1 AES/Midi breakout cable
• 4 rubber feet
• 1 front panel lock key
Each product is tested and inspected before leaving the factory and should arrive in perfect condition.
After the careful opening of the shipping carton, check for any noticeable damage. If so, notify the shipping company or
the distributor immediately. Only the consignee may initiate a claim with the carrier for damage incurred during shipping.
Be sure to save the carton and packing materials to be inspected by the carrier.
Carefully read this document in order to become familiar with the product and to identify the external documents
containing essential information on installing and operating the product properly and safely. Product documents are freely

Power ON/OFF procedures
Power ON sequence
1. If the rear PSU power switch is OFF, turn ON the switch.
2. Use the front power button to power ON the device.
Power OFF sequence
Always perform a “soft” power OFF using the front button (or via the L-ISA Controller) before turning OFF the rear PSU
power switch.
Service and maintenance
In case of issues during operation, contact your L-ISA representative.
Do not open the chassis or attempt any maintenance operation.

Network conguration
Network conguration
Use dedicated networks for LA NWM and L-ISA.
L-ISA Controller receives data on UDP port 8880. This is required to connect to the L-ISA Processor, L-ISA Plugins, or any
external control device (Desklink, Trackers, OSC).
For L-ISA Plugins to work, the hosting DAW and L-ISA Controller need to be able to use UDP port 9438 over multicast IP
address 239.255.139.81. If using managed switches, make sure that IGMP settings are properly congured for multicast
trafc.
For license activation, L-ISA Controller needs to be able to connect to an HTTPS server.
For L-ISA Processor based emergency activation, the L-ISA Controller and L-ISA Processor need to be able to use UDP port
11389 over multicast IP address 239.255.84.167.

The L-ISA Processor supports APIPA.
If there is no DHCP server, devices will automatically self-assign an IP address and the system will remain
operational. This process is called Automatic Private IP Addressing (APIPA).
The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) maintains some special range of IP addresses (269.254.x.y)
solely for private use. They are guaranteed not to conict with routable addresses.

The L-ISA Processor is set to DHCP as default.
To set a xed IP:
1. Set up a point to point connection from a DHCP enabled laptop to the L-ISA Processor.
2. Use the L-ISA Controller software and follow the instructions described in the Help menu.
