Thank yo for p rchasing the SKP-IPT1000 – a docking alarm clock speaker for iPhone &
iPod. It can dock charge play all iPhone and iPod with the niversal docking station as well as
providing FM radio and playback from other a dio devices for maxim m enjoyment.

GETTING STARTED
Ins alling he backup ba eries (Op ional)
• Remove the battery compartment lid on the nderside of the SPK-IPT1000.
• Insert 2 X AAA batteries (not s pplied).
• Replace the compartment lid.
Note: When there’s a power outage, clock setting will e maintained. The SPK-IPT1000 will
not fully function when running on the ackup atteries. Battery power support is for
maintaining clock only, and does not support music play.

• T rn the switch on the wall power o tlet OFF.
• Pl g in the AC adaptor to the wall power o t let.
• Connect the AC adaptor to the SPK-IPT1000
• T rn the wall power o tlet ON.
OPERATING THE SPK-IPT1000
Se ing he Clock
Au o Time Sync
The SPK-IPT1000 clock feat re will a tomatically sync when an iPhone/iPod is docked. Clock
will a tomatically pdate abo t 5 seconds after the iPhone/iPod has been docked.
Manual Time Adjus
1. Press the TIME SET b tton briefly so the ho r display flashes.
2. While the display is flashing, press the Previo s/next b tton to adj st the display.
3. Press the TIME SET b tton again so the min te display flashes.
4. While the display is flashing, press the Previo s/next b tton to adj st the display.
5. Press the TIME SET b tton to confirm and exit clock settings.
6. The LCD display will ret rn to normal after 10 seconds from last change.

Se ing he Alarm
1. Press AL1/AL2 once and the LCD screen will display alarm 1 icon. This means alarm 1
is activated. Press again and the LCD screen will display alarm 2 icon and remove
alarm 1, press again and the LCD screen will display both alarm 1 and alarm 2 icons.
Press a 4

time to remove both alarms.
P.S. AL MODE & AL SET only work af er Alarm 1 or Alarm 2(ei her or bo h) are ac iva ed.
2. Press AL MODE to switch alarm mode: iPod (iPhone) > FM > BEEP.
3. Press AL SET to adj st alarm time, press once and the ho r will blink on the LCD
screen. While the display is flashing, press the Previo s/next b tton to adj st the
display.
4. Press AL SET again and the min te will blink on the LCD screen. While the display is
flashing, press the Previo s/next b tton to adj st the display.
5. Press the AL SET b tton to confirm and Alarm settings.
6. LCD screen will ret rns displaying time a tomatically if no operation within 10
seconds.
NOTE: Alarms cannot e adjusted if oth alarms are activated. Please ensure that only the
Alarm to e set is shown on the LCD display.
Turning he Alarm ON or OFF
Press the Alarm 1 / Alarm 2 (AL1/AL2) b tton on the SPK-IPT1000 ntil the Alarm icon is
displayed.
• Press once to t rn on Alarm 1. Alarm 1 icon is displayed
• Press twice to t rn on Alarm 2. Alarm 2 icon is displayed.
• Press 3 times to t rn on Alarm 1 & 2. Alarm 1 & 2 icons are displayed.
• Press a 4 time to t rn off both alarms. No Alarm icons are displayed.

Snooze Func ion
The Snooze F nction is only available when the alarm is so nding.
• When the alarm so nds press the SNOOZE/NAP b tton to postpone the alarm for 9
min tes.
Nap Func ion.
The NAP f nction is only available when the A dio is off and no Alarm is so nding. The Nap
f nction allows yo to take a nap and the SPK-IPT1000 will alarm at a selected time period.
• Press the SNOOZE/NAP b tton to activate the Nap feat re.
• Keep pressing ntil the desired time is displayed.

o 75 min tes
o 90 min tes
o OFF (t rns Nap feat re OFF)
Sleep (Au o Swi ch-OFF) Func ion.
The SLEEP f nction is only available when the A dio is on and no Alarm is so nding. The
SLEEP f nction allows yo to set an AUTO OFF time for the SPK-IPT1000.
• Press the TIMER b tton to activate the TIMER f nction.
• Keep pressing ntil the desired time is displayed.

o 30 min tes
o 45 min tes
o 60 min tes
o 75 min tes
o 90 min tes
o OFF (t rns TIMER feat re OFF)
At the end of this time the SPK-IPT1000 will t rn off.

FM RADIO
1. To listen to the FM Radio, press the AUDIO b tton ntil FM is shown on the LCD
display.
2. Use the Previo s/Next b ttons adj st the freq ency to t ne to the req ired
freq ency.
• Tap the Previo s/Next b ttons to adj st the freq ency is steps.
• Press and hold the Previo s/Next b ttons to a tomatically scan for the Next
broadcast
3. Use the Vol me Up/Down b ttons to adj st the vol me to the desired level.
Lis ening o your iPhone or iPod
The SPK-IPT1000 will a tomatically detect the connection of and iPod and iPhone and
switch to that inp t.
To switch man ally Press the AUDIO b tton on the SPK-IPT1000 ntil iPhone is shown on
the LCD display.
Charging your iPod or iPhone
Yo r iPod or iPhone will start charging as soon as it is connected to the SPK-IPT1000.
Adjus ing he Brigh ness of he LCD display
Press the DIMMER b tton on the SPK-IPT1000 or the DIMMER b tton on the remote
controller to adj st the brightness of the LCD display.
4 brightens levels are available OFF>LOW>MID>HIGH brightness.
Connec ing an Auxiliary device
Yo can se the AUX inp t of the SPK-IPT1000 to connect any device that has a 3.5mm
stereo o tp t.
1. Connect the s pplied 3.5mm stereo AUX cable to the AUX inp t on the rear of the
SPK-IPT1000.
2. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm stereo AUX cable to the a dio/earphone o t of
the device yo wish to connect.

3. Press the AUDIO SELCTION b tton on the SPK-IPT1000 or the AUDIO b tton on the
remote controller ntil the word AUX is shown on the LCD display.
4. Adj st the vol me level on the device and the SPK-IPT1000 and the attached device
ntil the correct level is reached.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Problem Sol tion
The stereo speaker system does
not t rn on.
•
The AC adapter may not be connected properly.
Check the connection.
• The wall outlet may not function. Try another outlet.
Yo r iPhone or iPod does not fit
into the b ilt-in niversal dock.
•
The installed dock adapter is not the correct one.
Check whether a correct dock adapter is installed.
• There might be some obstructions on the dock.
Check whether there are any obstructions on the
connector and on the dock. If everything is
secured, place your IPhone or iPod back into the
dock.
It does not recognise yo r
iPhone or iPod when docked.
•
Your iPhone or iPod may not be properly docked.
Take your iPhone or iPod out of the dock, and
remove any obstructions on the connector from the
dock and on your iPhone or iPod. Place your
iPhone or iPod back into the dock.
• Your iPod is fro en or locked up. Check whether
your iPhone or iPod operates correctly before
placing it back into the dock. Please refer to the
owner’s instruction manual of your iPhone or iPod.
• The software of your iPhone or iPod is outdated.

the details on how to upgrade the software on your
