Become familiar with the owner's manual before
attempting to operate this equipment.
Preparation
1) do not allow children to operate this equipment;
2) do not operate this equipment in the vicinity
of bystanders;
3) wear ear protection and safety glasses at all
times while operating the machine;
4) avoid wearing clothing that is loose fitting or
that has hanging cords or ties;
5) only operate the machine in open space
(e.g. not close to a wall or other fixed object)
and on a firm, level surface;
6) do not operate the machine on a paved or
gravel surface where ejected material could
cause injury;
7) before starting the machine, check that all
screws, nuts, bolts, and other fasteners are

properly secured and that guards and
screens are in place. Replace damaged or
unreadable labels;
Operation
1) before starting the machine, look into the
feeding chamber to make certain that it is
empty;
2) keep your face and body away from the feed
intake opening;
3) do not allow hands or any other part of the
body or clothing inside the feeding chamber,
discharge chute, or near any moving part;
4) keep proper balance and footing at all times.
Do not overreach. Never stand at a higher
level than the base of the machine when
feeding material into it;
5) always stand clear of the discharge zone
when operating this machine;
6) when feeding material into the machine be
extremely careful that pieces of metal, rocks,
bottles, cans or other foreign objects are not
included;
7) if the cutting mechanism strikes any foreign
objects or if the machine should start making
any unusual noise or vibration, switch off
the machine and allow the machine to stop.
Disconnect the plug from supply and take
the following steps:
— inspect for damage;
— check for and tighten any loose parts;
— have any damaged parts replaced or
repaired with parts having equivalent
specifications.
8) do not allow processed material to build up
in the discharge zone; this may prevent
proper discharge and can result in kickback
of material through the feed intake opening;
9) if the machine becomes clogged at the inlet
opening or discharge chute switch off the
machine and disconnect the plug from supply
before clearing debris in the inlet opening or
discharge chute.
10) keep all guards and deflectors in place and
in good working condition;

Maintenance and storage
1) when the machine is stopped for servicing,
inspection, or storage, or to change an
accessory, switch off the machine, disconnect
the plug from the supply, make sure that all
moving parts have come to a complete stop
and, where a key is fitted remove the key.
Allow the machine to cool before making any
inspections, adjustments, etc.
2) Always allow the machine to cool before storing;

Using third-party parts will immediately invalidate
the guarantee.
• Do not leave the shredder working unattended
and keep it in a dry place out of children’s reach.
• While being used in the open, connect the
shredder to a residual current device (RCD)
or circuit breaker with a trip current of not more
than 30mA.
• Do not reach into the funnel feeder during
operation. The shredder will continue to run for
a short period after you switch it off.
• Make sure that the material inserted into the
shredder does not contain hard objects made
of metal, stone, glass or similar.
• Do not use the shredder in the rain and in bad
weather. Work in daylight or under good lighting
conditions.
•
Do not operate the shredder when you are tired
or distracted, or under the influence of alcohol

- If foreign objects should enter the shredder,
if the shredder is making unfamiliar noises
or vibrations (check the shredder for damage
before starting it up again)
• Do not allow shredded material to accumulate
near the ejection area. This may otherwise
hinder proper ejection and force the material
back up through the feeder.
• Do not transport or tip the shredder with the
motor running.
• Keep hands, other body parts and clothing out
of the filling chamber and ejection channel and
away from other moving parts.
• In the event of blockages in the machine intake
or ejection, switch off the motor and disconnect
the machine from the mains before removing
leftover material in the intake opening or ejection
channel. Ensure that the motor is free of rubbish
and other accumulations in order to safeguard
the motor from damage or possible fire.

The machine shall periodically continuous operate
with load for 40s and then without load for 60s.
The max. branch thickness that can be shredded
is dependent on the type of wood and the quality
of the material being cut.
For hard wood (e.g. oak/beech branches), the
max. branch thickness that can be shredded is
less than for soft wood (e.g. pine/spruce wood).
For dry or knotted wood, the cutting thickness
may also be less.
The equipment is intended only for use in premises
in which the current bearing capacity of the
network is >=100 A per phase and which are
supplied by a distribution grid with a nominal
voltage of 230-240V.
To be on the safe side, check with your local
electric utility to verify that the junction point of
the mains has enough continuous current carrying
capacity for the unit.
Noise and vibration values were determined
according to the standards and stipulations
mentioned in the declaration of conformity.
