included 60mm screw and two 15mm screws removed from
the shipping base.
Begin by starting the longer (60mm) screw through the•
center arm of the base assembly into the body assem-
bly. Do not fully tighten to allow the other two screws to
thread in easily.
Next, install the two shorter (15mm) screws into the re-•
cessed holes near the center foot.
Tighten all three screws.•
Insert the skewer into the body assembly from the fan side4.
and thread the acorn nut onto the skewer on the cassette

Loosen the quick-release axle on the3. Re v o l u t i o n and locate
the axle spacer on the fan side of the axle. Be sure to posi-
tion the spacer properly based on the type of bicycle you
are using. (See Figure 2.1)
Guide the rear of your bicycle over top of the4. Re v o l u t i o n
and ensure that the chain rests on the smallest sprocket
of the cassette on the Re v o l u t i o n and the bicycle chain
stays rest on the axle of the Re v o l u t i o n . (Figure 2.2)
With the chain resting on the smallest sprocket and the5.
chain stays resting on the Re v o l u t i o n axle, press down
gently on the bicycle seat and roll the bicycle forward. As
the bicycle rolls forward the bicycle should drop about an
inch as the dropouts seat onto the axle. (Figure 2.3)
Continue holding the seat down and lift the front tire6.
o the ground. This will ensure that the axle is seated
squarely in the dropouts. Both the left and right dropouts
should be in contact with the axle of the Re v o l u t i o n .
Note: Before securing the quick release axle ensure that the
bicycle is squarely seated onto the Re v o l u t i o n by lightly
pushing the seat from side to side. If the dropouts do not
shift on the axle then the bicycle is secure and the axle
can be tightened. If the bicycle seems unstable return to
step 4 above and repeat the process.
Tighten the acorn nut on the quick release skewer and7.
lock the skewer with the lever. (Figure 2.4)
Visually conrm that your bike sits ver8. tically on the Re v o -

!
Warning: CONSULT THE DOCUMENTATION FOR YOUR BICYCLE OR YOUR LOCAL BIKE SPECIALIST IF YOU ARE UNSURE
ABOUT THE CORRECT PROCEDURE FOR REMOVING THE REAR WHEEL.
!
Warning: SECURELY CLAMPING THE BIKE TO THE REVOLUTION WITH THE CAM ACTION RETENTION DEVICE TAKES
CONSIDERABLE FORCE. IF YOU CAN FULLY CLOSE THE CAM LEVER WITHOUT WRAPPING YOUR FINGERS AROUND THE
SEAT STAY OR CHAIN STAY FOR LEVERAGE, THE LEVER DOES NOT LEAVE A CLEAR IMPRINT IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND,
AND THE SERRATIONS ON THE WHEEL FASTENER DO NOT EMBOSS THE SURFACES OF THE DROPOUTS, THE TENSION IS
INSUFFICIENT. OPEN THE LEVER; TURN THE TENSION ADJUSTING NUT CLOCKWISE A QUARTER TURN; THEN TRY AGAIN.

!
Warning: USE CAUTION WHEN MOUNTING AND RIDING YOUR BICYCLE ON THE REVOLUTION FOR THE FIRST
TIME. START PEDALING SLOWLY TO GET A FEEL FOR THE EQUIPMENT. RIDING THE REVOLUTION FEELS A LOT
LIKE RIDING ON THE ROAD, BUT TAKES A FEW MINUTES TO GET USED TO. SHIFT THROUGH THE GEARS TO
ENSURE CLEAN AND PROPER SHIFTING. IT SHOULD NOT BE NECESSARY TO ADJUST YOUR DERAILLEUR TO WORK
WITH THE REVOLUTION, HOWEVER, SUBTLE DIFFERENCES IN BICYCLES EXIST AND MAY MAKE SHIFTING FEEL

The LeMond Re v o l u t i o n .
BAsic OperAtiOn
With your bike safely installed on the• Re v o l u t i o n , mount the bicycle normally and begin to pedal.
!
wArning: DURING YOUR FIRST USE OF THE REVOLUTION START PEDALING SLOWLY AT FIRST TO GET A FEEL
FOR THE EQUIPMENT. SHIFT THROUGH THE GEARS ON YOUR BIKE AT A SLOW PEDALING PACE TO ENSURE
OVERALL STABILITY PRIOR TO EXERTING HEAVY PEDAL FORCE.
We designed the• Re v o l u t i o n to be stable in all riding conditions, including standing up, however use caution when
pedaling standing up as the bike and trainer may tilt and become unbalanced.
Just like riding outside, pedaling resistance on the• Re v o l u t i o n is determined by how hard you pedal. If you want to
train harder–pedal harder.
!
wArning: IF AT ANY TIME DURING YOUR WORKOUT, YOU FEEL CHEST PAIN, EXPERIENCE SEVER MUSCULAR
DISCOMFORT, FEEL FAINT, OR ARE SHORT OF BREATH, STOP EXERCISING IMMEDIATELY. IF THE CONDITION
PERSISTS, YOU SHOULD CONSULT YOUR MEDICAL DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
Before dismounting, allow the• Re v o l u t i o n to spin down and stop. The trainer is not equipped with a brake, and
therefore the fan and pulley will continue to spin after pedaling has stopped.
!
wArning: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SLOW OR STOP THE PULLEY OR FAN! ANY ATTEMPT TO SLOW OR STOP THE
TRAINER CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
Obtain a complete physical examination from your medical doctor and enlist a health/tness professional’s aid in•
developing an exercise program suitable for your current health status.
When working out for the rst time, start out slowly for a minimum of ve minutes. After your muscles are warmed•
up, gradually increase the pedaling rate to a speed that allows you to attain your target heart rate zone.
The speed and duration of your exercise program should always be subject to how you feel. Never permit peer pres-•
sure to exceed your personal judgment while exercising.
Overweight or severely unconditioned individuals should be particularly cautious when using the• Re v o l u t i o n for the
rst time. Even though such individuals may not have histories of serious physical problems, they may perceive the
exercise to be far less intense than it really is, resulting in the possibility of overexertion or injury.
Although all equipment manufactured by LeMond Fitness, Inc. has been thoroughly inspected by the manufacturing•
facility prior to shipment, proper assembly and regular maintenance are required to ensure safety. Maintenance is the
sole responsibility of the owner.
Injury or death may occur from improper use or over-training. Consult a medical doctor or qualied tness instructor•
to determine an exercise program appropriate to your level of tness.
Always exercise in a well ventilated open area to maintain a safe core temperature. We recommend using a fan to•
circulate air.
Warning: THIS EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE USED WITH THE FOLLOWING GENERAL FITNESS GUIDELINES IN MIND.
