INTRODUCTION

Please read through these operating instructions, so you will know how to operate your
equipment
properly. After you finished reading the instructions manual, put it away in a

POWER SOURCE
This unit is designed to be operated on AC/DC.
AC OPERATION
Plug the smaller end of AC power cord into AC jack on unit and the other bigger end into
AC wall outlet. The batteries will be automatically disconnected. For dual voltage version,
make sure that the
AC
voltage selector (located inside battery compartment) is switched to
your local voltage.

DC OPERATION
Open the BATTERY COMPARTMENT DOOR. Install 6 pcs UM-2/ C size batteries (not
included) into compartment. Please follow corre
ct polarities as indicated.
CAUTION
Remove batteries if they are flat or not being used for a long period of time.
Batteries contain chemical substances, so they should be disposed of properly.
BASIC FUNCTION
SWITCHING ON THE UNIT
Set the FUNCTION swit
ch to CD
/MP3
or RADIO.
The POWER indicator will be on.
TO ADJUST VOLUME
Rotate the VOLUME CONTROL
back and forth
to increase
and
decrease volume.
BASS BOOST SYSTEM
For more extra bass, press the BASS BOOST button to turn on the bass. Press the button
again
to turn off.
HEADPHONES
For private listening, plug the headphones/earphones (not included) into PHONES jack(3.5
mm diameter).
CAUTION:
Long time listening with headphones/ earphones at high volumes may cause
harmful damage to users ears.
USING THE RADIO
TUNING IN RADIO STATIONS
1.
Move the FUNCTION switch to RADIO position, the POWER indicator will illuminate.
2.
Slide the BAND switch to select the desired wave band: FM
/
FM ST..
3.
Tune to required station by rotating the TUNING KNOB.
4.
Adjust
the
VOLUME CONTROL t
o desired volume level.
5.
Extend
the
TELESCOPIC ANTENNA to its full length if you are listening to FM
broadcasting.
Note: If the broadcasting program is too noisy when you are listening to FM stereo

station, please slide the BAND switch from FM ST. to FM. The FM STEREO indicator
will be on when you are receiving FM stereo program.

Turn off the radio by switching the FUNCTION switch to "OFF" position

USING THE CD
/MP3
LOADING A DISC
1.
Set the FUNCTION switch to CD
/MP3
position.
2.
Open the CD door.
3.
Place an au
dio CD
/MP3
into the tray with the label side facing up.
4.
Close the CD door.
The total number of tracks will appear
o
n the display after
several
seconds.
5.
To remove the CD, press CD DOOR
OPEN
/CLOSE
to open CD compartment lid, grasp
the CD by its edges, and c
arefully take it out.
Note:
To ensure good system performance; wait until the disc tray completely reads the disc
before proceeding.
If no disc is loaded into the compartment, or the disc is placed upside down, the display
will show
00
.
PLAYING A DISC
1.
Press
the
PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.
The playback starts from track 1,
will appear on the display
To interrupt playback, press
the
PLAY/ PAUSE button,
will disappear and the
track number will flash on and off on the display.
T
o resume playback, press
the
PLAY/PAUSE button again
.
2.
To stop playback, press
the
STOP button, the total number of tracks appears in the
display.
SELECTING A DESIRED TRACK/PASSAGE
To select a desired track
Press
the CD SKIP FORWARD/ BACKWARD button repeatedly in stop mode or during
play until the desired track appears on the display.
Press
the
PLAY/PAUSE button to start play.

ROGRAM TRACKS
You may play the tracks (songs) on the disc in the order as you like. Program tracks of disc
are possible when playback is stopped. Up to 20 tracks for CD or 60 tracks for MP3/ USB
can be stored in the memory in any order.
1.
In stop mode, press
the
PROG
RAM
button to enter program setting, the
flashes on and off
o
n the display.
2.
Press
the CD
SKIP FORWARD button to select
the first desired track to be programmed.
3.
Press
the
PROGRAM button to enter. The display shows
flashing.
4.
Repeat steps 2 & 3 to store other desired tracks until all tracks programmed.

5.
Press
the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback from the first programmed track. The
display will show
.

6.
Press
the
STOP button to stop program playback.

To Erase the Memory(Program)
To clear the program, you have two
option
s:
1.
Press STOP button when the disc stopped, or
2.
Open the CD compart
ment lid, program will be erased.
REPEAT
You can play one track or all tracks on the disc repeatedly.
To Repeat a Single Track
1.
Press
the
REPEAT button once in play, " " shows flashing on the display. The
current track will be played over and over a
gain till you press
the
STOP button.
2.
To cancel repeat play, press REPEAT button twice. "

To repeat all the Tracks
1.
Press REPEAT button twice in play, "

INTROSCAN
PLAY
Press the CD PLAY MODE button once in stop mode,
then
press the CD PLAY/ PAUSE
butto
n. The unit will start to play the first 10 seconds of music of each track
until
all tracks
are played
. It will
then stop. Press the CD PLAY MODE button three times to cancel.
RANDOM PLAY
Press the CD PLAY MODE button twice in stop mode,
RDM
appears on the display. P

the CD PLAY/ PAUSE button to start play
ing
tracks in
a
random order
until
all tracks are
played
. It will
then stop. Press the CD PLAY MODE button twice to cancel.
DIRECTORY SEARCHING
(for MP3 only)
Press the CD PLAY MODE button three times and/ or hold in stop mode or during play

Press the CD PLAY/ PAUSE button to start play
ing
the tracks located in the root of the next
directory. Press the CD PLAY MODE button once to cancel.
To select a song which track num ber exceeds
10
(for MP3
only)
Us
e the +10 MP3 button and the CD SKIP FORWARD button to select a song which track
number exceeds 10, press this button to skip 10 tracks each time. For example, to select
track 45, press +10 button 4 times, then press the CD SKIP FORWARD button five times,
the display will show the track number

TO USB FLASH DISK DEVICE
1.
Set the FUNCTION switch to CD
/MP3
position.
2.
Connect the USB Flash Disk Device into the USB PORT.
3.
If the USB is readable, the display will show USB, and then start to playback
a
utomatically from the first track.

Press the STOP button to stop playing. The display will show total number of tracks.
You may proceed repeat play (repeat1-
repeat

all)/ program/ program play/ random
play/ skip up and down operation as the same described in above USING THE
CD/ MP3 .
