Follow the advice below for safe and appropriate operations.
ON PLACEMENT
• Do not use the unit in places which are extremely hot, cold, dusty, or humid.
• Placetheunitonaatandevensurface.
• Donotrestricttheairowoftheunitbyplacingitinaplacewithpoorairow,bycoveringitwithacloth,orby
 placingitonacarpet.
ON SAFETY
• WhenconnectinganddisconnectingtheACcord,griptheplugandnotthecorditself.Pullingthecordmay
 damageitandcreatehazard.
• Whenyouarenotgoingtousetheunitforalongperiodoftime,disconnecttheACpowercord.
ON AC VOLTAGE
• Beforeuse,checkthattheratedvoltageofyourunitmatchesyourlocalvoltage.
ON CONDENSATION
• When left in a heated room where it is warm and damp, water droplets or condensation may form inside the
CD player.
• When there is condensation inside the unit, the unit may not function normally.
• Letitstandfor1to2hoursbeforeturningthepoweron,orgraduallyheattheroomupanddrytheunitbeforeuse.
* Ensureaminimumdistanceof5cmaroundtheapparatusforsufcientventilation.
* Ensurethattheventilationisnotimpededbycoveringtheventilationopeningswithitems,suchasnewspapers,
table-cloths, curtains, etc..
* Donotplacenakedamesources,suchaslightedcandlesontheapparatus.
* Take attention to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
* Use the apparatus only in moderate climates (not in tropical climates).
* Donotexposetheapparatustodrippingorsplashing.
* Donotplaceobjectslledwithliquids,suchasvases,ontheapparatus.
Should any trouble occur, disconnect the AC power cord and refer servicing to qualied personnel.

USING HOUSE CURRENT
Beforeuse,checkthattheratedvoltageofyourunitmatches
yourlocalvoltage.
USING BATTERIES
Disconnect the AC power cord from the AC inlet of the
unit. Battery power is cut automatically by the cord while
it is connected.
Insert 6 UM-2
(sizeC)batteries.

When the volume decrease, or the sound distorts, replace
all of the batteries with new ones.

FOR PRIVATE LISTENING
Plug in headphones (ø3.5 mm stereo mini-plug) to the
PHONES jack.
Whenheadphonesarepluggedin,thespeakersare
automatically disconnected.

1 . Set to CD
2. OpentheCDdoorbypushing
CD Door Open / Close button.
3. Insertadiscwiththelabelsidefacingup.
4 . Close the CD door.
The disc will rotate and the total
tracks of the disc will show on
the display.
TO SKIP TO THE BEGINNING OF A TRACK
• Presseitheroneoftheskipbuttonsaccordingtothedesiredskipdirection.
• Play/back resumes from the selected track.
• Whenthebuttonispressedonceduringplay,theprevioustrackstartsagain.
• Whenthebuttonispressedonceduringplay,thenexttrackplays.
SEARCHING FOR A PASSAGE WITHIN A TRACK
• Keeptheorbuttonpressedduringplayback,
 andreleasethebuttonassoonasyourecognisethedesired
 passage.ThennormalCDplaybackwillresumefromthispoint.
TO STOP PLAYBACK
Press the STOP button and the display shows the total
tracks of the disc.
NOTE : 1. FMstereoLEDindicatorlightsifreceiveFMstereobroardcastandtheMODEswitchseton"FMSTEREO".
 2. WhentoomuchnoiseisheardduringFMSTEREOreception,setMODEswitchtoFMmono.
AFTER LISTENING
Set the FUNCTION selector to OFF.

REPEAT PLAYBACK
Note on CD-R/RW discs
- Becauseofnon-standardizedformatdenition/productionofCD-R/RW,playbackqualityandperformancearenot
 guaranteed.
- ManufacturerisnotresponsiblefortheplayabilityofCD-R/RWduetorecordingconditions,suchasPCperformance,
 writingsoftware,mediaability,etc.
- Do not attach a seal or label to either side of the CD-R/RW disc. It may cause a malfunction.
- ItisrecommendedtorecordonlyaudiolesonCD-R/RWdiscsforeasyreading.
BASS BOOST
To enjoy a BASS BOOST sound effect,
press BBS button.
Thisfunctionallowsasingletrackoralltracksonadisctobeplayedrepeatedly.
TO REPEAT THE SAME TRACK
Press the REPEAT button once during playback, Repeat
indicatorwillilluminateandkeepashing.
TO CANCEL REPEAT PLAYBACK FUNCTION
PresstheREPEATbuttonagainuntilrepeatindicatoroff.
TO REPEAT THE WHOLE DISC
Press the REPEAT button twice until repeat indicator
willlighten.

CLEANING THE UNIT
Donotusevolatilechemicalsonthisunit.Cleanbylightly
wipingwithasoftcloth.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Ifanabnormaldisplayindicationoranoperatingproblem
occurs, disconnect the AC power cord and remove the
batteries. Wait at least 5 seconds, then reconnect the AC
power cord or reinstall the batteries.
WARNING
ShouldtheCDdoorbeopenedbeforethereadingoftheCD
iscompleted,ajammingnoisemayoccur.Thisisresolved
byclosingtheCDdoor.
CLEANING A CD
IftheCDskipsorwillnotplay,thediscmayneedcleaning
.Beforeplaying,wipethediscfromthecentreoutwitha
cleaningcloth.Afterplaying,storethediscinitscase.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING THE CD LENS
If the CD lens is dusty, clean it with a brush-blower. Blow
several times on the lens and remove the dust with the
brush.Fingerprintsmayberemovedwithacottonswab
moistened with alcohol.
PROGRAM PLAYBACK
PROGRAM TRACKS
Programmingtracksofdiscarepossiblewhenplaybackisstopped.Upto20trackscanbestoredin
the memory in any order.
1. In stop mode, press PROG button , the 0andthePROGRAMindicatorwillbeashingonandoffonthedisplay.
2. PressCDSKIP/SEARCHFORWARDbuttontoselecttherstdesiredtracktobeprogrammed.
3. PressPROGbuttontoenter.Thedisplaychangestoshow0anditwillbeashing.
4. Repeatsteps2&3tostoreotherdesiredtracksuntilalltracksareprogrammed.
5. PressPLAY/PAUSEbuttontostartplaybackfromtherstprogrammedtrack.
6. PressSTOPbuttontostopprogramplayback.
Note:Programfunctioncanonlybedoneinstopmode.
To Erase the Memory(Program)
Tocleartheprogram,youmayhavetwoways:
1. Press STOP button when the disc is stopped, or
2. OpentheCDcompartmentlid,programwillbeerased.
